Ricky, the owner, was very accommodating and flexible. We were able to check in earlier (around noon) and the house can sleep 15 comfortably! The house was very clean and our wedding party had an amazing time playing ping pong in the basement, hanging out in the lawn in front/back of the house, and just relaxing in the house. We really enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
This house was true to it's name, extremely spacious and cozy, and a very accurate description of what to expect! The house was clean, everything was ready for us when we arrived, and the owner was extremely kind and helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. As a large group, the house handled all of our needs, from comfortable bed spots, a big kitchen and dining room table for group meals, and plenty of cozy spots to relax over a cup of coffee of board game. The lawn outside is fantastic for yard games, and the lake right across the street provided more activities and a beautiful view. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for any large groups, regardless of the season!
Six of us rented the house for the weekend of our Middlebury College reunion, and we could not have been happier with our stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL inside and out, and is spacious enough that everyone had room to spread out & have privacy when they wanted, or hang out in the beautiful common spaces (sitting room, dining room, living room, vast yard) to visit with others. The kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans, dishes & glasses so we were able to cook meals there without any trouble.
The house sits right across the street from Lake Champlain, so part of our stay was spent kayaking on the lake (bring your own boat), which was lovely. During the warmer part of the day we also could chill out in our beach chairs under the shade of the large trees on the property and read or talk, or even watch the action in the huge hawk nest that an enterprising bird created not far from the house.
The property is clean and well maintained, and the owner offered to answer any questions we might have, though he provided us with so much good info that we didn't need to ask much.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to spend time reconnecting with friends and family. We would definitely rent the property again.
The home and property were just as described. Very clean and spacious. We spent more time than usual indoors because of the unusual heatwave, but there was plenty of room for that.Owner was very helpful and accommodating. Lots of historic sites and great swimming within 30 mins.at Lake George. Definitely recommend this home for a large group.
This is a spacious, very clean house with a lot of character. It's ideal for a group of cyclists like us. And the region is magnificent,
We'll surely come back.
