Why Patricia Licata chose Colonia San Antonio
Light filled, great location near shops, restaurants, quality finishes, gated community, great maid and very responsive property manager
100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
Beautiful space...accommodation was perfect. Host and local management team terrific.
Casita is a separate part of a larger home.
I rented both properties for a party of 5, then a party of 3.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful...what more can I say. Yes the dogs were slightly bothersome...but settled down late evening. And those roosters...a lovely reminder that we were in Mexico.
Highly recommend both the Casa and Casita.
Owner is simply the best!
Loved the property.
HOWEVER. The fact that we were required to pay 50% of the fee and then 1 month later we also had to pay the rest along with a $350 damage deposit that would be refundable five weeks BEFORE our stay was a bit much. SO BE WISE. We had to ask for damage deposit back 2 weeks after leaving. A hotel does not take their deposit until check-in and you get it right back when you leave. Makes me wonder who is getting the interest on the deposit money that was out of my account for 7 weeks. Otherwise enjoyed the stay. Except for the damage deposit issue.
I am so glad you loved the property. We enjoyed having you as a guest.
I am not sure what happens to the security deposit as the owners never see the security deposit unless there is an issue with damage, which in my case, has never happened.
It's VRBO policy to automatically refund the deposit two weeks after check-out. (Owners are not directly involved in this process unless there is a problem with damage.)
For future bookings with VRBO, please be aware that you can always ask the owner to ask VRBO to release the deposit earlier, which I have done a few times for past guests, and would have been happy to do for you.
Thanks again for booking with us! We hope you stay with us again!
Property is clean, well-appointed and fit our needs for a week.
We were walking distance to El Centro; however, we often took a cab back due to carrying items and being tired. The cobblestone walk is something we got used to. Many restaurants are quite near the casita. Cleaning services, advice, and shuttle ordering for airport return were all very helpful. With lots of windows we were able to let the cool air in. No A/C needed. Bed was very comfortable. The patio was very large and provided almost double the living space as the casita itself. We had friends over for wine and were quite comfortable. If we returned to this property, and stayed longer, we would get a 2 bedroom ground floor casita. The steps add to the long walk to the back of the property. (We are over 65. Don´t let the walk bother you.:))
It was truly a pleasure to host Jane. Glad you enjoyed your stay! Please come back!
Lovely and comfortable little casita
We stayed in this pretty casita for two weeks and it was everything we had hoped for. It's small, which is apparent from the photos, but perfectly comfortable for two people. The terrace outside the bedroom is a real plus, as is the washer/dryer and the UV filtered water. No need to buy bottled water for anything! Owner Patricia was the most responsive VRBO host we've ever dealt with and Coni the housekeeper is a gem. Only a 10 minute walk to Ancho with restaurants, stores and shops, and about 15 minutes to Centro. Nice neighborhood, no reason to ever feel uncomfortable stepping outside. We highly recommend it!
Comfortable, bright, charming apartment with terrace
We greatly enjoyed our first-time foray into San Miguel de Allende, enhanced by our stay at this pleasant apartment aptly named Casita de la Luz. Located in a flat part of the city, the apartment is an easy walk to a bustling mercado and a 20-minute gentle uphill climb to the centro. Patricia and her property management staff are extremely welcoming and helpful in answering inquiries and being available for check-in and check-out. Thrice-weekly housekeeping services were much appreciated, and the sunny terrace provided a warm "annex" on cooler days. We would happily stay here again!
I am so glad that Naomi and her party felt welcomed and enjoyed staying in Casita de la Luz. And, I am so grateful to have such a professional and responsive property management team and the best maid in San Miguel!. We would love to have Naomi back!
We loved our little casita! It is bright and clean and very comfortable. Super patio which made its small size totally liveable. It’s very well planned and laid out, the two of us did just fine, a testament to the careful planning of the architect. It was a colder than usual month while we were there (and this coming from Canadians!) but the sun hits it by 10am and prior to that, the little gas fireplac did the trick.
Connie, the housekeeper, will treat you very well. It was walking distance to the Centro for us and while I would always recommend you keep your wits about you, the street felt very safe.
Yes, we did put a lot of thought into the design, layout and lighting--including abundant natural light--into Casita de la Luz. It's so nice to hear that it was appreciated by these wonderful guests! Connie is a sweetheart. I am so fortunate to have her as an employee. Would love to have you stay again, Jennifer!
Lots of cultural events walking distance, including plays, concerts/live music, art galleries, international restaurants
