Hmm, I think I’d like a beautifully decorated, intimate little cottage for two, located near some hiking trails into a State or National Park. Oh, and I’d like to hear the train whistle faintly in the valley. If possible I’d also like a campfire we could use, oh, and a grill. And if you can arrange it, I’d like see the deer frolic in the nearby pond. I know this is a tall order, but I’m confident it’s out there somewhere. If you find it, please pencil me in.

A blessed time
We loved the quietness of the area. We loved sitting on the front porch looking at the
lake early in the morning with a cup of coffee. We enjoyed our hike to the falls. The cabin was cozy and compact. We enjoyed our time there. Ken & Jo Ellen Nunnally
I live this property and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. It was exactly what we were looking for.
There is no place like home, unless it is Ray and Bobbie's FORGET ME NOT cabin...
My wife and I are both retired and we were looking to find a quite place to visit where the lifestyle is slow and easy. Bobbie and Ray Zakary's mountain cabin Forget-Me-Not caught our eye as we surfed the net. No cable TV and no Internet was not necessarily what we wanted, but it turned out to be exactly what we needed. We were both drawn to the quaint charm of this unique cabin and the beautiful landscape that surrounds it. The price was more than reasonable and the trip to Mentone was doable from our home in less than three hours. We booked our stay, and could hardly wait to begin our time together.
We arrived on the property toward the end of the month in October shortly after dark, a bit tired, but anxious to unpack, get some rest, and start exploring the pond, pastures, and woodlands first thing in the morning. Bobbie met us upon arrival, and helped us unpack our considerable belongings. THANK YOU Bobbie.
Next day, Charlie, the resident guide dog, lead us out on our first exploration trip and safely brought us back. (Incidentally, Charlie was very patient with our aging selves and was more than willing to slow her pace to match ours. WHAT A DOG! This little cabin and ALL of the surrounding property quickly turned this year's vacation from a git-a-way to, hands-down, the most relaxing vacation we have ever experienced. We enjoyed perfect weather, perfect rest, and spent two of our evenings around a roaring campfire, one with an old childhood friend and his wife, along with our invited guests Ray and Bobbie; hosts extraordinaire...!
All in all, this vacation has been the best FORGET-ME-NOT vacation we have had in decades. Thanks for having us! We enjoyed our vacation immensely. Loved your wonderful company and hospitality. May God richly bless you and bring all of your dreams to fruition...! Howard and Joan
We enjoyed our stay and especially making friends with Charlie, the lab. Owners were attentive.
Beautiful area and the cabin was perfect for the trip.
Cute cottage for a couple.
Everything was great. Stayed for our anniversary and didn’t have to talk with anybody else. We felt very secluded and alone, which is what we were going for.
The most peaceful getaway ever.
This return trip to Mentone was a much needed break before getting back to school. The location is secluded and very private, but close enough to unique restaurants, sights, and shopping, to give you the best of both worlds.
