With 50 M2 of space this apartment is ideal for a family who want to be near the centre of village life. Free buses pass the door making ski access simple and convenient. Recently refurbished throughout, Iris has all the comforts of home, including a large kitchen dining room, satellite TV and HiFi. Its private terrace has views over the Chatel slopes and down the Abundance Valley. A private garage is available for ski and bicycle storage

Forming the ground floor of an imposing chalet, the accommodation comprises 2 small bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds, a lounge with a double sofa bed and a large kitchen/dining room. There is a bathroom with a bath/shower, WC and basin and a separate WC. The kitchen is equipped with Induction hob, oven, fridge, micro-wave, dishwasher and washing machine and still has room for a large 8 seat table. The kitchen/dining room leads through French windows to a large sunny terrace.

Ski season Rentals: We are happy to advise clients on ski lessons and equipment hire and will arrange these in advance if requested (advisable in busy periods) and will arrange Portes du Soleil ski passes for collection. We have more than 20 years experience of this area so can make recommendations to make the most of your holidays in the valley.

Comfortable, well-equipped and spacious apartment in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was absolutely perfect for our family ski holiday with plenty of room for four adults.

It’s ideally located, as the town is only a 5 minute walk up the hill and the ski bus to Pre la Joux stops outside.

The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, making it easy to self cater if you wish.

Otherwise the bars and restaurants are nearby.

The beds are very comfortable with good quality linens and towels.

The large terrace has fantastic views and must be a real bonus during warmer weather.

Richard, the owner, is great to deal with and is very prompt with all communication.

We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we return to Chatel.

Wonderful Apartment

We were very impressed with Apartment Iris it served our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) very well during a week of skiing.

Bars, restaurants and local supermarket are just a short walk away and it’s a 10 minutes drive to the pre la joux slopes.

If we return to Chatel we would absolutely stay here again.

Spotlessly clean, amazing location with a stunning view from the terrace which isn't overlooked

Short stroll from the centre of the village. Streaming quality wi-fi. Very quiet location. Good quality fixtures and fittings. You could almost believe that the place had never been occupied before. Clean quality linen. Helpful friendly owner with prompt response to booking request. Parking on site. Would definitely return! NOTHING not to like. You won't be disappointed.

One word... Terrace!

Chatel has retained its original village charm while it has blossomed with the growth of snow sports in the Portes du Soleil ski area. Its reputation for snow defies its medium altitude (something to do with Mont Blanc) and its summer climate is ideal. More recently the summer season has become popular with hundreds of marked itineraries for mountain bikers and walkers and a vast range of leisure and sports activities. Chalet Iris is a short walk from the centre of Chatel with its many restaurants, bars and shops, but is on a quiet road with spectacular mountain views. Close to the Swiss border this is also a great centre for touring the lakes and mountains of France Switzerland and Northern Italy.
