Why Anne and Gordon chose Glasgow
This mews house is in a fantastic location, quiet yet so central for exploring Glasgow, and with private parking at the front door. The house itself is bright, spacious and warm, a real gem in the heart of the city, when we saw it we couldn't resist it!
What makes this Townhouse unique
Parking space for two cars, a little patio terrace for some outside space, quiet and private.

The apartment was great-owners were awesome! Right in the middle of the city-was able to walk shopping and restaurants. Had a great time-thank you!
Beautiful apartment in very central but quiet Glasgow location
We had the pleasure of staying in the lovely, VERY clean townhouse for only 3 days at the end of a long trip around England & Scotland. We could not have been more pleased upon arrival - the inside is more attractive than the photos, and very spacious. All beds were very comfortable, bathrooms and linens were clean, and all dishes/glassware were literally squeaky clean. Our hosts Anne and Gordon communicated clearly before and during our stay. They have created a very useful guidebook for the use of appliances, as some may be tricky for non-UK visitors to maneuver. The guidebook also provided many recommendations for things to do and see while in the area, with some restaurant menus as well! As for the location, the townhouse is within 4 short block's walk of Sauchihall Street - close to everything you would ever need. The parking spaces are handy for anyone keeping a car for their stay. We found the neighborhood to be very quiet indeed, after the schools are dismissed for the day we would hardly see anyone around. It seemed like a safe, residential part of the city. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and recommend the townhouse to anyone! Anne and Gordon were both a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks for your lovely review, it was our pleasure!
Location, Location, Location
It could not have been a more ideal location. We were within easy walking distance to the train station, subway and excellent shopping off Sauchiehall Street. The home had all of the appointments that were needed. I had no difficulties operating the washer-dryer combo but more difficulty with the oven. We eventually figured it out but not with the help of the included instructions. Bed configurations were great and if you like an extremely firm mattress, you will like the king size bed. As a 50+ year old, it was a bit too firm after walking all day.
Overall, we would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Glasgow.
Thanks Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed your stay. We've noted your feedback on the oven instructions and updated our info folder so this is easier to follow. Apologies if you found the bed a bit too firm, we bought a medium grade mattress plus a mattress topper to suit most people.
Great hosts and great location. Parking a plus
Gordon was so very kind to assist us with our arrival and had very good local information to share. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and contained all of the necessary amenities. Within walking distance of everything in city centre Glasgow.
This house was wonderful. Exactly as described
We had a wonderful stay and Gordon and Anne could not have been more helpful. The house was perfect for the 3 of us and the location was wonderful for shopping on Buchanan St. I would recommend this house to anyone.
Walkability location in Glasgow
The townhouse is very comfortable, neat, clean and well maintained inside. On the whole, we were very pleased. A few simple additions would have been nice. For example, there was no garden furniture to enable us to sit out and enjoy the backyard terrace. As well, a clock in the master bedroom would have been nice. The washer/dryer is very complicated to use and takes forever to run through a cycle. The instruction manual for it is confusing and unclear. The owner kindly demonstrated its use but unfortunately it subsequently did not work that way. Our only other comment is that although the townhouse itself is very nice, the neighbourhood is a bit sketchy. In the evenings, there were frequently unsavoury characters passing through (or partying in) the laneway which accesses the unit and which the living room looks out over. Nothing can be done about that of course but it was disconcerting. However, the location is very convenient to walking to the Sachiehall and Buchanan street pedestrian malls and close to grocery shopping and good restaurants. The owners are very courteous and accessible.
Thanks Paula & Colin, glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes the washer instructions are definitely overly complicated, we have now typed up a simple, easy to follow version. Wish we had known you were missing a patio table and chairs as we would have gladly supplied them at the start of your stay. Sorry you were disturbed by some noisy people, possibly due to a combination of the sunshine and end of Art School term time...? We have lived in this area for many years and can verify that it is safe and friendly with just the usual mix of things you get in any inner city neighbourhood.
