Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Valle del Guadalhorce - Pretty Spanish villa

Away from it all, without being too cut off!

A pretty Spanish villa, ideal for families or groups of friends. Sleeps from 1 to 8 guests. 3 double bedrooms (extra beds provided free of charge), 4 bathrooms, large family farmhouse style kitchen with sofabed, formal lounge with 2 large sofas and wing-back chairs. Plenty of space inside and out to relax in a corner to yourself, even when you are part of a large group. Outside there´s a covered terrace with 3 sofas, an open courtyard with pool table under the shade of a lemon tree, a shady barbeque complete with huge table and plenty of chairs. The swimming pool has a springboard and slide (suitable for fun loving adults as well as children), tiled sundecks with plenty of sunloungers. The lawn has fruit trees for shade. The whole pool area is fully fenced in making it safe for families with children.

The villa is in a very quiet estate of private villas but only a twenty minute walk from the affluent, lively town of Alhaurin de la Torre. 20 minutes in the car and you are on the beaches of Torremolinos

The walk into the town centre from the villa is along our quiet, well lit, cul de sac and then along safely lit, palm tree lined pavements.

Better Than We Could've Imagined!

  • 5 of 5

This villa was AMAZING! It was beautiful, spacious (we were 9 people), comfortable, and had every amenity imaginable. More than that, Anneliese (the owner of this property) was extremely helpful, friendly, and communicative. My family can't stop raving about this villa, and it truly made our trip special.

Perfect family villa

  • 5 of 5

LOVE this place. Searched 4 ages 4 a villa that would suit needs of family (me, husband, 4 + 2 yr old). I will list out all great things about villa and hopefully save another family time in their search.

1. Gated pool. It's locked and inaccessible for small children without parents. You can't put a price on peace of mind.

2. The pool. Great temperature. Big enough to have a swim. Slide and dive board which my 4 year old absolutely loved.

3. Pool area. LOVELY. Loads of sunbeds and a seating area. LOVELY view of the hills. Saw one of the nicest sunsets I have ever seen from the pool area. I would recommend watching the sun set from the pool area, it is very peaceful.

4. The patio area. Great spot to get the kids to play in if it's too hot. Always shaded so great for a break from the heat. Lovely to sit there at night, nice and cool, you can see the stars, excellent wifi if you want to watch a movie or a show online (we were able to access our Sky account).

5. The wifi. Best I have ever had outside of my own house or work. Not one single problem with it.

6. The villa has a/c in all the bedrooms and in the kitchen/diner. It was very hot when we were there, hovering around 38/39 for a few days (I think this is unusual, it was in the news), the a/c was a life saver, particularly as my daughter and I were both sick for a good portion of the stay (son was sick before we arrived so we caught his virus).

7. The kitchen/diner. It's massive. Lots of room. It's also very very pretty.

8. The bathrooms. There are 4. 2 bedrooms are ensuite, one family bathroom in the house and another family sized bathroom off the patio area. That one is a particularly nice bathroom. Great, powerful shower. Big bath, kids liked it. Shower in the main bedroom also lovely. Didn't use the others so can't comment but looked fine.

9. Very responsive, helpful owner.

The villa is just a really great set up for families with small children. The pool is gated, there are shaded areas if required, plenty of space to play, a/c if necessary, bars on the windows (standard in Spain so you can keep windows open) so you can open the windows at night with peace of mind. Also, easy drive from Malaga airport (and I mean EASY), easy drive into Torremolinos for the beach, local town is very lovely and charming. Perfect place and we hope to visit again, next time with my folks. Cannot recommend highly enough. I don't have one single complaint. Thanks Anneliese!

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

The property was immaculately kept and well equipped. All details regarding the location, layout and facilities were accurate. It was well situated for visiting a variety of historic towns and beaches. The manager provided an excellent service and was full of useful suggestions for activities locally. I would whole-heartedly recommend this property to friends. Malaga is well worth spending some time in as there are several interesting museums and art galleries, plus beaches and historical monuments and ruins. Ronda and Cordoba are also highly recommended.

Plain relaxation with extra vitamin C

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic and very relaxing Winter break. The villa was great with lots of space for the six of us (5 adults and one child). We found everything we needed to cook and make food and spent lots of time relaxing on the verandah, reading and chatting. The pool and pool area are great and are set in nice separate garden. Handily this means they can be locked away from wandering children. The house has a very Spanish feel and is rather stylish and the owner is really welcoming and helpful with any questions. She has lived in the area for a while and can recommend lots of different activities and tips.

Alhaurin de la Torre has a lot to offer, with some really good restaurants and bars and a range of supermarkets. One important thing going early in the year (Feb) was that food places were closed during siesta (2pm till 730pm ish), so eat out before or after. We just decided to do what the locals do and took our daughter out late after she had slept in the day. We had one day in Malaga wandering round Moorish ruins, the old town and the quay area which were great and found Pimpi's in the old town, which provided the most stylish surroundings for a glass of wine for a long time! One massive advantage with going in February is the orange and lemon trees, which provide amazing fruit, so we had fresh-squeezed orange juice every day and gin and tonic quite often too. Two final things are the pool table and the barbecue area and outdoor dining area. All in all rather good!! Thanks!

This has been our second visit to this villa with a young family, its been amazing, plenty of things to do, we have enjoyed playing in the pool during the day & used the bbq many times in the evening. Its very well looked after & has a large kitchen which is well equipped.

It's been a easy walk in the town, lots of great places to eat at Annalise's recommendations. we made a the lce cream parlour our local place to visit.

Hope to visit again very soon.

A great holiday. Thank you Annelise.

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous villa in a really friendly Spanish town. There was plenty of space for us and we really felt at home as soon as we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking family meals, including two fridges so we only had to shop once and we managed to use the barbeque on a couple of the milder evenings which was an unexpected bonus considering it is November. We really appreciated the pool table, particularly after Anneliese showed us how we could play without putting coins in! She also told us where the most amazing ice cream shop is, a must for anyone visiting this villa. We hope to return to our new home from home next year.

Alhaurin de la Torre is an affluent town with all the modern amenities you could possibly require, set around an older, traditional centre. The avenues are lined with palm trees and the roundabouts adorned with modern art, there are two free outside gyms, a wonderful Japanese garden and numerous parks and facilities to enjoy all within the town,

The villa will be a tranquil, relaxing world of your own but within a few minutes of bars, shops and restaurants.

Two minutes from the mountainous countryside, 20 minutes from the beaches of Torremolinos. 30 minutes from Benalmadena Costa. Lauro Golf is only 6 minutes away and dozens of golf courses are within half an hours drive. The Plaza Mayor shopping and entertainment complex is 15 minutes away, with around 30 restaurants, all the major clothing retailers, a multi screen cinema and bowling alley.

Malaga city is only a 15 minute drive. A city which is well worth visiting for it´s old quarter with Picasso museum and cathedral

Other Activities: There is everything you could possibly wish for within a 20 minute drive of this villa. An hour and a half and you can ski in the Sierra Nevada!

Golf: Lauro Golf Course is only a 6 minute drive from the villa. It is beautiful. Parador Golf in Malaga is only a 20 minute drive away. Alhaurin Golf is the next nearest at just under half an hour, then Mijas Golf, Santana Golf and dozens more within three quarters of an hour!

Ski: Only two hours in the car and you can be in the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada. Well worth a visit in the summer for the scenery as well as the winter.

Notes:
The villa is ideal for groups and families, but also for couples who enjoy the private space and having a pool to themselves. There are a number of steps within the grounds, making it unsuitable for wheelchairs. We do not allow smoking within the villa at any time, but there are plenty of comfortable, shady chairs outside. The air conditioning is in the kitchen/dining room and all three bedrooms. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I live, with my friendly dogs, in a house in a totally separate area of the grounds. There is a high wall between my gardens and yours and therefore I will not disturb your privacy at all. However, I am on hand should you require any help or some local knowledge. I have plenty of recommendations for good restaurants!
