Secluded Lake Sam Rayburn Fishing Lodge in the Forest
About Reginna Wise
I love deep East Texas ! I The sound of the wind in the pine trees, the musty smell of the forest floor, the fresh air, the blooming dogwoods and red bud trees. The wildlife. The hummingbirds. For me, going home is like stepping into a mini vacation everyday - where the hustle and bustle stops and life slows down. I am proud to say that I work for law enforcement as a PD dispatcher. I have 2 beautiful grown daughters who are still the loves of my life. Spend my hours off working in my flowerbeds and vegetable garden, riding my horse or tending to the farm. Exploring new places is one of the great joys of my life. So opening my home up so others can be refreshed and experience exploring the woods is exciting to me. Vacations should satisfy our souls or it just doesn't count as a vacation !!

Why Reginna Wise chose San Augustine
My home has been in my family for over 100 years. I spent every summer her as a child watching my grandparents live off this land. I am blessed to be the 4th generation to own it. My grandfather's original carpentry is proudly displayed with all its rustic warmth and imperfections
What makes this Lodge unique
This property is unique in it's seclusion and peaceful surroundings. The forest is my back and front yard !!

Wish we could have stayed longer...
We came in town for the SFA graduation and only stayed one night. It has really beautiful outdoor area and we werebdisappointed we didn’t get to enjoy it more. Reginna was wonderful to deal with - we had a flat tire and she was super helpful. Would definitely come back!
Nice & quiet
Quaint place to stay. Had every thing we needed for the few days we were there. Ms. Wise provided us with all the info about the surrounding area and was kind enough to allow us a late check out. Thanks! We may be back next year!
Best Holiday Ever!
My 3 yr old just kept saying that during our entire stay! We loved the house and property! Even the rainy days were peaceful and relaxing 😌 The lodge had everything we needed and was super comfy. April is a beautiful time of year to visit...not too hot or too humid. The lake is close and easy to get to and the fishing was awesome 😎 Of all the rentals we have visited this was our favorite!
Peaceful and secluded
Great getaway from the city with 3 teens. We enjoyed exploring the trails behind the property. The hot tub was clean and heated up well for relaxing on chilly nights. The cabin was a good size with plenty of beds and bathrooms for 5 people. Everything was very clean and the property was well-cared for.
Great stay for the second year in a row.
5 minutes from the boat ramp we wanted to use. Slept as good as I do at home and used the grill every night. Looking forward to coming again next year.
Quiet and serene
The home was well kept and very clean. The location was secluded, which was what we were looking for in an escape into the forest.
