Booked last minute and negotiate rate, Daniel offered to include ride from airport. He was great in communicating and arranging ride very responsive. When arrived apartment had strange odor, floor was sticky, and bathroom a bit dirty. I had texted Daniel to inform him and asked for another cleaning, there was no response and about an hour later let him know we would take care of it since didn't want to have cleaner in with our belongings and no safe. Never got any acknowledgement at all about our issues. We decided to wear sandals and wiped down bathroom with paper towels and dish soap in kitchen. Location of apartment was great, beds very comfortable, but it is a bit small and dated. After stay Daniel accused me of bleaching towels and using up some cleaning supplies, when in fact I had not used any and had left towels in shower as had been customary with all other homeaway stays. He then turned nasty and mean calling me a liar; so dealt directly with Homeaway to resolve. Overall, it was a great location, but a bit small, and would never want to deal with owner again.
I was happy to offer to you and your family a full satisfaction of your requests (early check-in, late check-out, the taxi ride from the airport, gifts to his children, ...). Unsurprisingly, the wooden floor was still wet as you arrived 2 hours sooner than scheduled, i.e. right after cleaning had been made. And the odor was that of cleaning products, vanishing with time. Sandals you wore were those I freely hold at the disposal of guests, happy you appreciated. Sorry for not having been able to reply immediately to your messages but I was on the train without any communication network. As for the unfortunate linen issue, I easily proved to HomeAway that you’re the one who damaged them, certainly accidentally. I only regret you never apologized for that and didn’t acknowledge the facts. Useless to attach too much importance to that, it was not a big deal.
Nevertheless, despite this minor incident, I am happy you enjoyed your stay. This is the sole objective of my constant efforts in favor of my guests.
Great appartement located in super neiborhood.
The appartement was very nice and well located. Very comfortable with everything we could ask for. Very quiet place. Would return any time! The area is very close to the Luxembourg gardens as well as the Jardin des Plantes. Tons of bistros and restaurants, night life great! Highly recommend.
Spectacular location on quiet street
Cannot beat this location in the heart of the Mouffetard. The flat is quiet, but steps from all my favorite sights. The flat was well appointed, but a broom and dustpan would be useful. Had a little trouble with the lock box and key, but worked it out. Would love to stay there again and again.
Stayed here with two children and two adults. Great location. Easy to walk to many of the main sites. Good local restaurants. Nice and clean and Daniel was really accommodating with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Quiet apartment in one of Paris' liveliest neighborhoods
If location, location, location are the three most important aspects of a place to stay, this is the place to come. Place de la Contrescape, a block and a half away is packed at happy hour with some great street musicians. The apartment itself is quiet, looking out on a courtyard. Space was a bit tight for three but overall the apartment was well equipped. Our stay was a bit colored by the fact this week included the hottest day in Paris' history. Good fan helped some but be forewarned: No AC. It's not usually needed in Paris. Daniel communicated promptly and clearly throughout but we never met him. I'd have liked to know the check-in and check-out procedures earlier. For me, probably a 4.5/5 overall.
Daniel was very communicative. The apartment is very close to the metro and restaurants. Very nice location.
The apartment is located on Rollin Street, a very quiet pedestrian-only street (no car), although being in the very heart of Latin Quarter (rue Mouffetard, place Contrescarpe, Pantheon, Sorbonne, Luxembourg Garden, Luxembourg Palace, ...)
The apartment itself is on 2nd floor, south oriented, peaceful and very lightly.
It has been entirely renovated in February 2013 and is fully furnished with new, design and modern furniture.
Leather Sofa is a high quality one, convertible very easily into a true 2 persons bed.
