Two Bedroom apartment with dock of Waterfront Duplex in Madeira Beach.

French doors off the living and dining room open onto a flowered yard and semi-private dock with a gorgeous view. This newly renovated, beautifully furnished 2 bedroom duplex overlooks the water and the beautiful, Gulf sunsets. Off the living room is your own deck surrounded by an oasis of beautiful tropical plants and at the end of the yard is a dock where you can tie up your boat, fish, watch the manatees or just relax. Our vacation spot can be perfect for those wanting a peaceful, relaxing time or for those who desire the activities of John's Pass

The two bedroom side of the duplex consists of two bedrooms; the master with a king size bed and a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom both with wicker furniture and flat screen TVs. The newly remodeled marble bathroom has a large tiled shower and granite counter. The fully stocked kitchen has also been remodeled with marble counters, new ceramic top stove, garbage disposal, new dish washer and large refrigerator. The living room, with a queen sleeper sofa, and dining room open up with two sets of French doors to the private deck. We provide high speed WIFI, large screen cable TVs, tile floors throughout and a telephone with free US and Canadian phone calls.

We have tried to decorate the apartments with tasteful, Floridan fabrics and interesting pictures and decor. The white tile floors give the rooms a clean and spacious feel, while the French doors and many windows offer a bright interior.

The duplex is in a quiet residential area on a dead end street with very little

traffic yet you are just a block from historic John's Pass and a short walk to the miles of sand beaches.

John Pass, a quaint turn of the century fishing village, is home to 'unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, para-sailing, and jet skiing tours.' We are only a short walk from the famous Madeira and Treasure Island Beaches with miles of sand. Enjoy the stroll to Madeira Beach to watch the sunset and perhaps catch the Green Flash. An evening stroll on Treasure Island beach will find you walking next to large flocks of sleeping terns, gulls, skimmers, and shore birds.

Step out to your own patio with table and chairs and a gas grill or wander down to the dock where you can tie up your boat, fish, watch the dolphins and manatees or just relax. Our guests often enjoy hours of fishing from the dock catching Spanish mackerel, red snapper, sheepshead, and the tough to catch snook.

As a special treat you'll get to meet Beggah, our visiting great blue heron. Fall asleep on one of those comfortable deck chairs and you'll likely wake up with him standing next to you. Our snowy egret has been known to come in to watch TV if you leave it on and the doors open. They'll patiently wait for a hand out ... no bread. No fool, Beggah flies north for the summer.

Our vacation spot is perfect for those wanting a peaceful, relaxing time at home, yet the activities of John's Pass are only a block away. Our guests refer to it as a tropical oasis with the surrounding trees and plants. Explore our mini-jungle of exotic tropical fruit and spice trees and tropical flowers. Grab a banana off the banana plant. Pick a gardenia and put it in your hair to enjoy its sweet perfume and the smiles of people noticing you walking by.

Welcome to Pass-a-Grille Rentals.

We offer unique places to stay while enjoying the St. Pete Gulf Coast ... our own vacation homes.

Years ago our parents came to the St. Pete area to enjoy the Floridian respite from the Wisconsin Winters. Over the years, as each of us started spending more and more time in the area, we started looking for places of our own to stay.

We have found interesting properties that offer a quiet and relaxing pace. Each of our properties has been our own vacation home. They are all unique. Most reflect the cozy and relaxed beach atmosphere of the 1920's - 1940's.

Over the years we have gradually upgraded them while maintaining their historic nature. Of course with a family that includes an architect (dad), interior designers, gardeners, and, most importantly, handymen, we have upgraded our places and continue to maintain them ourselves with pride. Our emphasis has been to preserve the feel and historic aspects of the properties while modernizing the inside facilities.

Reflecting our interests in tropical fruits and spices, our gardens tend to be more out of the ordinary. We have exotic tropical and subtropical fruits, spices, and flowers. Look around and you may find our vanilla orchids, lychees, longans, lemon grass, cinnamon, passion fruit, pomegranate, kaffir lime, and macadamia along more traditional citrus and bananas. For flowering trees we have ylang ylang, michela alba, jacaranda, and royal poinciana along with the more usual fragipani, hisbiscus, jasmine, gardinas, oleanders, bird-of-paradise, and bougainvilla. Consequently, our gardens are not the trimmed and manicured standard of fancy Floridian estates.

As we explore and sample the area, we learn about those special places to enjoy and visit. We also learn what NOT to do and where NOT to eat. Each of our units has a guidebook that we have personally developed over the years with maps, restaurant menus and recommendations, and places to fish, shop and walk.

What makes this house unique

These two apartments are waterfront with a dock. They are on the ground floor so there is easy access. Our gardens contain many flowering fruit and spice trees and according to the season, you can sample our bananas, loquats, kaffir limes, rose apples, macadamia, pomegranates, and several others. Enjoy the shade of our flowering trees and palms.

Perfect for us!

I took my mother to Florida for her birthday. All she wanted - was to stay on the water, not just looking out to the water from a condo. Once we saw the doors that open to the back patio and water... we were hooked! We got to meet the owners and had a great tour of the beautiful plant and flower specimens. The accommodations were comfortable, bright and had everything we could ask for. It is a classic Florida home, in a great location, just beyond the hotels and bustle of John's Pass; however it's a great little walk to John's Pass and all the fun it offers (probably shorter walk than driving around to find parking, LOL). Each day we were visited by various bird friends. Mom says she misses the birds. I would absolutely return and recommend this friendly place to anyone.

Dolphins and manatees! Great location! Peaceful family paradise!

Well stocked home, had everything we needed. We were delighted with dolphins and manatees right at the dock! Everything was within walking distance; we parked the car and didn’t drive all week. Comfortable beds, quiet cul-de-sac, plenty of room for our family of five. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Paradise... awesome

This place was amazing. It had everything we needed. The beach was in walking distance as well as all other entertainment. Loved St John's Pass. Close enough but si close as to be bothered by any noise. The house was great and we really enjoyed the birds that came every morning to be fed. We'll definitely be back.

This is normally a quiet neighborhood. Loud music and noises should be kept to a minimum. Quiet time should begin by 9:30PM to respect the neighbors.

Additional daytime guests are limited to 4 people. If the number of guests exceeds the number agreed upon
in the reservation, the renter will be asked to vacate the property immediately without any refund.
