“Le Mas Soli” is a 17th century Provencal farmhouse located on a 5000 m² wooded fenced estate with secured pool and 2 gîtes: “The Olive Trees” that sleeps 4/6 and “The Cypresses” that sleeps 6/8.

This 17th century Provencal farmhouse is composed of 2 accommodations inhabited all year long and 2 fully independent and fully renovated functional and carefully decorated gîtes with all modern conveniences.

It is nestled in a green and very quiet setting that you will enjoy your stay

You will particularly like its huge park

The 10x5 m pool is a Provencal pool shared between both gîtes, secured by an electric rolling shutter and surrounded by sunloungers and large parasols.

The estate is fully fenced and has a large parking. Children will appreciate the beautiful green spaces to run and play. Parents will enjoy the beautiful views, the calm and the secured pool to cool off.

Bikes are at your disposal to discover the fields and the Rhône banks or simply to get some bread at the village 800 m away.

The privileged geographical location of the farmhouse will give you the opportunity to mix “farniente” and discoveries. Only 6 km from the motorway exit, you will easily access the most prestigious sites of Provence:

Orange and its antique theatre 6 km, Avignon and its Palais des Papes 25 km, Uzès and its Duchy, Vaison-la-Romaine and its Roman vestiges without forgetting Remoulins and its Pont du Gard and many other sites.

You will also discover many famous cultural events (the Chorégies d’Orange, the Festival of Avignon, the Lavender Festival in Sault, etc.) as well as the treasures and the beauty of the Provencal markets in summer.

Description of “The Olive Trees” for 4/6

This gîte is located in the former stable of the farmhouse and has been renovated and decorated by an interior architect. This 70 m² single-storey accommodation that mixes charm and comfort can accommodate up to 4-6 persons. It is composed of:

2 bedrooms

Bathroom with toilet

Large bright living room with cosy sofa-bed

Beautiful large fitted kitchen

Summer kitchen equipped with wrought iron table and chairs and barbecue

The terrace and the adjacent shelter will give you the opportunity to enjoy the summer while eating in the shade.

For your convenience: Wi-Fi Internet, television with main foreign channels, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, washing machine and dishwasher).

Fitted kitchen: hob, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and refrigerator. Cleaning equipment is provided.

Booking instructions:

You can rent the gîte on a nightly basis (except during high season and for a minimum of 3 nights) or on a weekly basis (all year long).

Bookings: after the first contact, we send you a contract that defines the location, the description and the booking instructions. Once you sent back the signed contract and the deposit, your stay is booked. This confirmed rental contract will be sent back to you after reception of the 30 % deposit. Making Amends and Taking Responsability

We reviewed this property after our stay and pointed out the shortcomings. We are pleased that the owner has assured us that he has taken steps to remedy the situation for future travellers. In our case, he refunded the cleaning fee and a percentage of the rate to compensate us. While he didn't have to do this, it does speak to his desire to put things right with us and we appreciate his apology in words and in action. Thank you Bernard.

This is a beautiful location and a lovely house but unfortunately, it is now suffering from lack of attention. Someone took great care in the decorating and appointing of this provencal style home but we would not stay here again for the following reasons:

1) The home was not ready/cleaned out upon our arrival despite a later arrival time of 18h30.

2) The owner attempted to run the property remotely, ie., he was only available by phone and we received a limited introduction/ orientation to the home and had to figure out most of it for ourselves.

3) Spider webs, spiderwebs everywhere and a real lack of attention to overall cleanliness.

4) For the price one pays to stay here, one should not have to deal with a squatter on the property with old toilets sitting in the front yard.

5) Again, for the price, it should be cleaner and sheets and towels should be included. It is galling that there is a cleaning fee when the house is not clean. Floors were not swept nor vacuumed, nor washed, kitchen appliances and utensils were dirty and dusty.. I could go on.

If you choose to stay here, ask if the owner will be on site or nearby. We're sure it would make a huge difference.

Owner's Response: First I want to appologize for the poor quality of service I offered for your stay. Of course following to your stay I offered a commercial discount and I also pay back the cleaning service you took so that you did not pay the price you were suppose to. I am hiring some locals to have a better service instead of the previous lady and her son. I paid for the service but I also noticed the poor quality of their work. A neighboor Jacky, who also has got a large swimming pool, will come everymorning to check it. I also changed my water pump of the swimming pool, as well as the sand filter to make sure of the quality of the pool. All the results should be effective in the coming days. I am sorry, that you had the worst experience you could get. please accept all my regrets and I will you will have some better experience for the end of your hollidays or with us if you give us a chance bernard

Ruhige, geschmackvolle Ferienwohnung

Die Wohnung ist geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr ruhig innerhalb eines großen Anwesens mit eigenem Pool gelegen. Der Zustand der Wohnung ist sehr gut, lediglich die Küche und die Bäder sind insbesondere aufgrund des stark eisen -und kalkhaltigen Wassers etwas angegriffen und bereits leicht abgewohnt. Die Küche ist im Wesentlichen ausgestattet, einzelne Dinge wie Salatschleuder etc. haben wir jedoch vermisst. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Für große Menschen ist das Bett durch das Fußteil allerdings etwas klein. Caderousse ist mit dem Fahrrad in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Ein Bäcker, Metzger und ein kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft sind dort für die Grundversorgung vorhanden. Größere Supermärkte und zahlreiche Restaurants gibt es im nahe gelegenen Orange. Caderousse ist als Ausgangort für Ausflüge in die nördliche Provence sehr gut geeignet. Auch die bekannten Weinbaugebiete (Chanteauneuf, Gogondas, Rasteau etc.) sind in kurzen Distanzen.

Mitigé

Nous avons été décus par plusieurs points :

- A notre arrivée (tardive) le ménage n'avait pas été fait correctement.

La personne chargée de faire le ménage n'était pas venue et de toutes évidences, les vacanciers précédents avaient fait le minimum.

Cela a gaché notre arrivée. Certaines ampoules ne fonctionnaient pas. Il y avait des mégots sous la table extérieure. Le propriétaire nous a envoyé la personne pour le ménage le lendemain matin. Elle est restée 3h30.

- De plus, la maison manquait d'équipements de base que nous avons ensuite demandés (et obtenus): plateau, saladier, dessous de plat, étendage, pinces à linge....

- La table extérieure ne bénéficie pas d'éclairage, à 21h30 malgré quelques bougies, on ne voit plus rien. C'est quand même dommage d'être en Provence et de ne pas pouvoir manger dehors.

- il y a seulement 2 parasols qui protègent 3 personnes chacun, un peu juste quand on est 12 personnes à se baigner (il y a 2 gites)

- Les plantes autour de la table exterieure ne sont pas arrosées

Je trouve que le fait que le propriétaire soit loin et n'ait pas trouvé de personnel qualifié se ressent cruelllement.

De plus, je trouve qu'il devrait proposer une formule claire : forfait ménage à payer : oui/non et pas " vérification de ménage à 40€" Personnellement je n'ai jamais vu ça nulle part dans tous les gites ou je suis allée.

En bref, malgré le rabais consenti, je ne trouve pas que cette maison soit bien équipée pour être louée sur Abritel. Le propriétaire, charmant et serviable, devrait engager quelqu'un pour gérer vraiment cette location et faire les arrivées, le jardinage et vérifier que rien ne manque.

Pour finir, la maison est située dans une vaste jardin et c'est très calme. Je pense donc qu'avec un peu d'entretien, cette location pourrait être agréable.

Au calme

Très jolI domaine au calme, sans circulation ni voisinage.

Nous avons passé un très bon week end entre amis: grand parc clôt avec piscine, très jolis gîtes décorés avec goût, et très bien équipés.

Petits plus: vélo pour se rendre au village d à côté.

havre de paix

L'endroit est super, très calme, la piscine magnifique. Nous y avons passé plusieurs séjours entre amis et c'est toujours un plaisir. Les deux gîtes sont très bien équipés, il y a même des vélos pour faire une ballade ou aller jusqu'au village de Caderousse à 10 minutes.
