Maybe a 3.5 star, but half stars weren't an option.

We've stayed in this development twice now, a year apart; two houses with the exact same floorplan. So I'm kind of comparing my experience with that as well. This house had tv's in every room, which was a nice feature for folks traveling with large groups I guess and people want to relax at night. We didn't really need them but I could see that being a plus. We didn't choose to have the pool heated, so we took use of the main community pool, which is fabulous and SO warm. Loved that. I see what people mean about carpets and couches seeming dirty. They do seem older and a khaki couch just isn't ideal if you're putting mass amounts of people through a home. We couldn't find the thermostat (even though the book says basically leave it, we just wanted to check what it was set to) but it wasn't listed as to where it was in the binder. The door on the laundry closet was completely off the hinges, so we didn't dare trying to move that. The beds are very firm. Some people like that I guess. Our party was used to softer so there's that. We stripped the sheets at the end of the trip and the waterproof mattress covers under the sheets looked really dirty. The binder also suggested we start a load of laundry before we left...but there's no detergent left anywhere in the house. Were we supposed to provide our own to wash the linens? lol Uh, no thanks. One bathroom had barely any toilet paper on the roll and we couldn't find any in the house short of what was on the other rolls in other bathrooms. Did we have to bring our own toilet paper? lol That seems like common sense to just make sure that's available. The home we previously stayed in was much cleaner, had a child gate for stairs and bed rails, which was above and beyond, but would be a reason I would have chosen them over this home had it been available. It's the little things when thinking about different families travelling.

Beautifully built home, bad parking

  • 4 of 5

The home has great appliances, high-end finishes. The layout is amazing for the 4 parents and three teenage children that stayed here. The kids enjoyed the upstairs landing area with a large screen tv just for them. A huge couch downstairs really gives everyone room to lounge. This unit was pretty new, so there were NONE of the normal “remnants” left behind by previous renters that are sometimes nice; coffee, paper towels, spices, etc. The neighbors were noisy, but it wasn’t too terrible. The parking is atrocious because these units are big enough for multiple families and the units are packed together like sardines. If you have an SUV, only two will fit on the property, our Yukon Denali BARELY fit inside the garage (backing in was he only way to get in). Other unit tenants were parking across the road from the garage making parking very challenging. It didn’t ruin our vacation, just an annoyance.

Beautiful linens, very firm beds (they were amazing), everything worked as expected.

Very short drive to all the parks.

Owner's Response: Dear Erin, Thank you kindly for your review. We're pleased to know you enjoyed your stay overall and the townhome nicely accommodated your family. We do realize that parking beyond two cars can be a challenge, and we regret that was an inconvenience and annoyance for you. We hope you'll consider staying with us again in the future. Thank you again. - The Team at FL Star Vacations

Decent home, wouldn't rent again

  • 2 of 5

The home serves it's purpose but be mindful you get what you pay for. The low nightly rate attracts a younger crowd.

Parking is horrible. The garage will fit one small car. Any other vehicle is forced to either block the garage or block the entrance. For a place that sleeps 10, you will not have parking space to accommodate your guests.

Noise. During my family's stay, the neighbors had pool parties until 4am each night. Since the pool is covered by netting, we could hear everything. The loud music and screaming kids made it impossible for guests in the rear of the home to get any rest.

The carpet is filthy. It has stains on the stairs and in the common area. Pack slippers for the kids or their socks/feet will be filthy.

Trash. Trash is picked up daily if bagged and placed on the front porch. The previous guests or cleaners did not bag the trash properly so we were greeted by trash on the porch when we arrived. The management company basically stated that they live too far to address the issue but would put it on their list. We never heard back from the property management team to ensure the issue was resolved.

For the most part the inside of the house ( with the exception of the carpet) was clean. The sofa has small stains as do the bed linens.

The property is a short drive to Disney and shopping centers.

The clubhouse offers activities and the pool is 84 degrees year round.

I would recommend renting one of the single family homes in the community or staying at one of the nearby resorts.

Owner's Response: Dear Darryl, Thank you for your feedback although we are troubled by your experience. Your feedback is not typical and we have worked closely with our home manager to review the items you reported and course of action with regards to the trash and carpet. Indeed, trash is picked up every morning. It appears, in this situation, the previous guests missed the specified trash pick up and left the bagged trash in the proper bin designated for pick up. Our manager advised that upon pick up there were a couple things which fell out of the bag and remained loose in the container bin. Indeed at the time you called to ask the manager to retrieve the items, she was not in close proximity and advised it would be removed, which it was, it just couldn't be removed at the time of your call. This debris was contained and therefore not deemed an emergency situation. She did advise she never heard any grievances from you with regards to the carpet or noise disturbances. There were a few spots on the carpet, again from the previous guests which could not be professionally cleaned in time for your arrival (as it was same day check-out and check-in for both). The spots have since been cleaned/removed and we must object to your feedback that the carpet is filthy. This townhome is very well maintained. As for the noise from the neighbors; we always ask our guests to be respectful of their neighbors. If we were made aware of this, we could have contacted them personally or if necessary, contact the local authorities to address. We have a high expectation for our guests and expect that same courtesy in return from others so I'm sorry the neighbors were not respectful in this regard. We don't typically receive this feedback and most everyone is very courteous to one another, generally speaking. Thank you again. We do appreciate your business.

Great house, highly recommend!

  • 4 of 5

This house was perfect for our Disney vacation for a family of 10. House was beautiful, landscaping in the resort area was well kept, and guard was friendly.

Big positives:

- 20 minutes from Disney world parks, very easy drive (2 roads, no GPS required after first trip)

- 4 miles to nearest Walmart and Publix for groceries and supplies

- Community pool, lazy river and hot tub were very fun and relaxing, and free arcade for kids

- All kitchen utensils were provided and in great shape

Slight negatives:

- Lights in the pool area did not work, we suspect the motion sensor is dead?

- Parking is very limited/tight. Garage is tight fit for a very small car, and 2nd vehicle has to park in front of garage door to prevent blocking neighbors in

- TV is weird, volume needs to be up very high to hear people speak but then music is overwhelmingly loud. Suspect there is a setting that could fix this?

- Couch and bedroom throw-pillows have dirt and stains, suspect they're old and haven't been cleaned (made us nervous we'd be charged for them, even though we didn't dirty them)

- Pool is in a shaded area and does not get sun, so it's fairly cold (even though air temp was 85F). We should have paid for heating

- I was fairly certain the ad stated there was a grill, but we did not find one. This could be my mistake

Owner's Response: Dear Adam, Thank you kindly for your review. We're pleased to know you enjoyed your stay. Always know we are a phone call and a short visit away. We would have been more than happy to have helped you with the TV. I haven't received any such feedback so we'll be sure to check on that item as well as the pillows and couch. We carefully maintain this home, especially given the light color of the couch. We'll certainly give it a very close inspection and tend to anything that may need cleaning. As for the grill, we've never offered a grill with this townhome and haven't advertised such so perhaps there was a misunderstanding of that amenity. Thank you again for your business and your feedback. We greatly value it and hope to welcome you back again soon, whether at this townhome or another accommodation. -The Team at FL Star Vacations

Love the property

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was wonderful. The house was so clean and everything is very pretty inside. Though we are not accustomed to how a lot of things are built in other cities we were amazed of having too come in from the back though it was optional for the front. You will not be dissatisfied if you stay here.
