In the basement, enclosed parking will allow you to park two cars safely while you visit the city by public transport. A bus stop at the foot of the building or the station "Berges du Lac" line C Tram 200m put the historic center within a quarter of an hour.

The building is located on the edge of a canal and a pedestrian walkway, which in a few steps and your mood will lead you to a green alley in a shady park bordered by another channel or the pedestrian path along the lake . You can directly walk, cycle or jog for miles.

Lovely apartment and location but not appropriate for hot weather!

This apartment is beautiful and the kitchen is well-stocked with everything you may need. However, there are no screens on the doors/windows, no fans, and no air-conditioning. During our stay the temperature reached 90F and we struggled to keep the apartment cool enough to sleep at night. The first two nights we left the doors open and were eaten alive by mosquitoes. With it closed to keep the bugs out, the inside temperature was 78F. Uncomfortable...

Owner's Response: When reading your comment, it is difficult to imagine that the housing is in a building with a thermal insulation and sound of very high quality (BBC building). To benefit fully from the benefits of these ecological constructions, it is imperative to close and open the openings at the right time of the day, otherwise the insulation is totally inoperative. When certain summer evenings mosquitoes are invited, it is sufficient to remove them by the use of effective anti-mosquitoes that we make available to tenants. The apartment has fans. But they are portable and, like mosquito repellents, they should be plugged otherwise they do not ventilate. Thank you for your comments but for your next summer rentals, do not hesitate to choose an air-conditioned apartment. Pierre and Michèle

An excellent apartment in an excellent location

We spent a great week in this spacious and very well equipped apartment. It was very quiet, comfortable and warm, with lovely beds. It was particularly nice watching the world go by from the balcony! Having the bus stop right outside the apartment building, plus the tram stop only a few hundred metres away, was a big bonus. There is very secure, underground parking which meant we could simply leave the car and use the public transport. An excellent boulangerie is just across the road and is practically always open! The lake has a good path all around it and there's even a small beach area and playground. The huge Auchan supermarket and IKEA are very close by. All in all, a great place in a great location and we'd definitely like to return again in the future!

Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cet appartement spacieux et très bien équipé. C'était très calme, confortable et chaleureux, avec de bons lits. C'était particulièrement agréable de regarder le monde passer du balcon! Avoir le bus s'arrête juste devant l'immeuble, plus l'arrêt de tram à seulement quelques centaines de mètres, était un gros bonus. Il y a un parking souterrain très sécurisé qui nous a permis de simplement laisser la voiture et utiliser les transports publics. Une excellente boulangerie est juste en face et est pratiquement toujours ouverte! Le lac a un bon chemin tout autour et il y a même une petite plage et aire de jeux. L'immense supermarché Auchan et IKEA sont très proches. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un super endroit très bien situé et nous aimerions vraiment y retourner à l'avenir!

Absolutely THE BEST !!!

The apartment itself is roomy and comfortable, with all the conveniences. The 8th floor deck with its view of the lake is SUPER. It's delightfully tranquil watching the sailboats gliding over the water. And it's fun to look down on the traffic and pity those not on vacation. Then there's the assigned parking spot in the underground garage. No hassles, just very convenient. Of course, having Auchan (the very large grocery store) only a few blocks away is quite handy. All-in-all, a wonderful place to stay! In addition, Michele & Pierre are such courteous hosts. So it is definitely THE BEST.

Perfect apartment

The apartment was excellent. We wanted somewhere comfortable and relaxing and this was perfect. The appliances were of the finest and most modern and we had all the cooking equipment that anyone could want.

We used the public transport on a weekly ticket which allowed us use of the busses, trams and boat as many times as we wanted per day. It was great.and the excellent transport allowed us to leave the safely garaged car and enjoy the .freedom of exploring this lively city

Fabulous view over lake

Lovely 2 bed modern well equipped apartment with great views over lake, in quiet safe and beautiful residential area on northern outskirts of Bordeaux. Excellent wifi. 10 mins to centre of the beautiful historic city of Bordeaux on Tram C (stop a couple of mins from apartment) or use bus from stop right outside apartment to local shopping centre which has large supermarket. A 7 day ticket that you can use on Trams, buses and local ferry cost 12.40 euros. Right by apartment is a fabulous bakery shop/cafe open early morning to 8pm, a small grocer/greengrocer and a canal-like waterway with ducks. Very helpful owner who sent detailed arrival instructions, although lady who meets arrivals doesn't speak English, so that can be a bit difficult, but we managed. It was just a shame that the weather was so bad when we were there (June 2016) and that there were numerous days of strikes, which affected transport.

An absolutely wonderful stay

We cannot say enough about this apartment in Bordeaux on the Lake. From the amazing view over the lake to the amenities in the apartment to the tram to the centre of the city being just a minute's away - everything was perfect. The security of the building is first rate and included two underground parking spots. About 10 minutes walking gets you to a large shopping centre with one of the largest grocery stores we've ever been in. Sadly we were both quite sick with colds while staying in Bordeaux and more than once one of us remarked that if you have to be sick while on holiday, this was the perfect place because it felt so much like home. Comfy couches, soft blankets, those great views and everything available to be cozy. We would not hesitate to rent again from Pierre and Michele and thank Nicole for her help. It was a genuine pleasure to deal with them all.

The apartment is wonderfully located in the tourist point of view since the edge of the hotel zone, close to the exhibition center and the stadium Matmut-Atlantique (20 mins walk - 3 tram stops - 3 minutes by car), the Congress Palace, the Casino, Bowling Lake, the Velodrome, the Floral Park (26 ha), Golf (18 + 6 holes + practice on lake), the spa complex Calicéo of Bruges, the Bois de Bordeaux (100 ha) and Marais de Bruges popular with birdwatchers ...

The proximity to the ring road and the Aquitaine Bridge facilitates rapid access to the various sights of the region, particularly those located west of the city (Châteaux of the Medoc, ocean beaches, lakes and ponds of the Gironde coastline, mouth of the Gironde, Blaye Citadel, the town of Saint-Emilion ...).

On foot, by bike or car, about 400 m, you will have access to one of the main shopping areas Bordeaux (Auchan, a huge mall and countless nearby businesses in which it will be permissible to do all the shopping you want). If you prefer 'expenses' physical, the neighborhood was built with the aim to promote walking and cycling tours. Gironde and Bordeaux are furrowed with a network of beautiful cycling routes developed to the foot of the building. The first Sunday of each month (except August) Bordeaux Centre is car.

Cafes, restaurants and small shops are available within 400 meters. The Lake sand beach with lifeguard summer is 500 meters away.
