Find solitude, culture, art, and outdoor adventure any time of the year
- English, Portuguese
We, Andrea and Rogerio are your hosts. The main house of our property is 50 meters away from the cottage assuring privacy for our guests, while we are also nearby to assist and answer questions about the area. We enjoy sports, the outdoors, arts, our dogs and other farm pets! We fell in love with Port Medway, its surroundings, and people when we first visited this community, so we are excited about providing an opportunity for others to share this "experience" rather than just staying at a cottage in Nova Scotia. Please be our guest at this little piece of heaven on the Southwest Shore of Nova Scotia. We have two dogs, as well as a growing inventory of livestock, so you will likely encounter dogs, chickens, and wildlife during your stay.

Enchanted Acres is precisely that. It's a secluded, wonderfully constructed cottage with stunning ocean views and complete privacy.
Andrea and Rogerio are wonderful hosts who gave us great suggestions for day trips such as exploring close by white sand beaches.
Port Medway is quaint and a perfect base from which to explore Nova Scotia's South Shore.
The cottage has everything you need including a lovely screened porch to enjoy coffee in the morning or wine at sunset. The sunsets are gorgeous!
We highly recommend it. One of our best vacations! Thank you for everything.

Vacation in Port Medway
Our stay in this cottage in Port Medway was amazing and exceeded our expectations. The cottage had everything for a perfect vacation. It was modern, clean, quite, and private with a living room with ocean view, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, front enclosed porch with an ocean view, and a back yard with a grill! The kitchen had all we needed for cooking, the bathroom was very clean with towels, soap etc., and the bedroom had linens and plenty of space. We loved the front porch and living room with the ocean view.
We (and our dog) also enjoyed the amazing property with private ocean front access, and a dock with sunset views. There were also two kayaks!
There were also many places and activities near by... beaches, hiking trails, biking, kayaking, dining etc. We visited Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, Cherry Hill, Broad Cove and rode our bikes around Port Medway.
Andrea and Rogerio were also great hosts. They were very warm and friendly, and provided us with all the local info.
We highly recommend this for a perfect getaway in Nova Scotia.
Jeff and Nedret
Thank you Jeff, Nedret, and Coco.
It was a pleasure having you stay at our cottage and to share the warmth and loveliness of our province.
Best wishes to you all!

Top Shelf Location and Accomodation
Just a beautiful place, and Rogerio and Andrea were very kind and helpful. We lucked out to be there during the Port Jam, so got to enjoy music and people watch right there at the Port Medway store. Besides several road trips to see handy sites on Nova Scotia, we did a jog and a bike ride right there. And with advice on where to ride, we saw some great views and two lighthouses. Great experience, and the house is everything you want a Nova Scotia experience to be...just felt right! Nice, clean and bright!
Beautiful location, lovely cabin, wonderful hosts
Had a lovely 5 days exploring the grounds and surroundings. Beautiful beaches, rock cliffs, towns to explore nearby.
Thank you Hilary! We enjoyed having you David and Koa! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday in Nova Scotia!
A little piece of paradise
We fell in love with this place! There are too many great things to say! The cottage and property are utterly peaceful - we woke up to the call of loons, bees buzzing and birds chirping. Sunsets at the dock or on the upper deck are beautiful. The cottage itself is lovely - paintings and whimsical objets d'art are featured throughout the rooms. The kitchen is outfitted very well and the hosts also provided plenty of spring water in large containers for drinking. At the cottage we spent most of our time in the screened in porch, eating, reading, talking. Port Medway town is a gem, with a lively and warm community. Don't miss pub night on Friday at The Port Grocer. Sunday morning brunch is also a treat. The cottage was perfect as home base for day trips to many nearby sweet and charming communities and beautiful beaches. Andrea and Rodgerio were a wealth of knowledge for these outings. Nigel the dog loved it too! Thank you!! we didn't want to leave :o)
Thank you Bronwen, Allan, and Nigel. We are glad you enjoyed our little paradise so much! Hope to see you again next year! Andrea & Rogerio
The southwest shore of Nova Scotia has some world-class sand beaches and many of them are only a short drive from the cottage. A short twelve minute drive from the cottage takes you to Eagle Head beach; a quiet, white sand beach. Well-known beaches such as Cherry Hill, Summerville, White Point, and Carters Beach are also just short drives away. If you feel like exploring one day, drive a little further down the coast where there are even more spectacular beaches spotting the coastline, and often you will only have to share them with a seagull or two.
For surfers, this is a surf heaven. Indeed, there are some good surfing spots only minutes away from the property including Eagle Head beach, Cherry Hill, Western Head, East Berlin, West Berlin and so on.
Despite the private location of this property, it is only 500 meters from Port Grocer Cafe, the hub of the community and a great place to have coffee or lunch, meet friendly locals, or catch some lively music by talented local musicians on Friday Night Pub Night.
Port Medway has an active artist community where you can buy beautiful pieces of art during an art show in the summer held in the community hall, all year round at the Port Art Gallery, or at the summer market held on Sundays outside at the Port Medway Cafe.
The charming Port Medway lighthouse is only 100 meters from the café at the active fishing harbor. It is a great place for picnics under a large gazebo facing the entry of the beautiful Port Medway harbour.
