About Eric P

Years ago, when our friends were choosing to travel overseas Mary and I really wanted to get to know what was in our own back yard, so we traveled and/or lived in many places all around North America. We have met many amazing people and experienced a lot of great places. We have recently broadened our travels with a handful of overseas trips, but without a doubt, Flagstaff has remained the place we call home. Flagstaff seems to have this amazing ability to attract people who are incredibly friendly, kind, open minded and energetic. It is truly an amazing place!

Eric P purchased this house in 2006

Why Eric P chose Arizona

Flagstaff is such a beautiful town with a great close community. There are endless year round events for families and couples to enjoy. You can't beat this location! Getting close to nature is so accessible. A short walk outside and you can take a trail that will lead you on a two hour loop through the local pine forest. Also, an easy car or bike ride downtown brings you to all the shops, restaurants, coffee shops and nightlife. You can celebrate the Pine Cone Drop on New Years Eve downtown and be back in your living room in less than 10 minutes!

What makes this house unique

When we bought the home, we fell in love with the quiet nature views from the three large living room windows! It would be difficult to find another vacation rental in Flagstaff that offers a feeling of being surrounded by nature (Ponderosa pines and oaks trees while seeing deer in the yard) and yet still being so close to downtown. That really makes this property unique.

Perfect Flagstaff getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house looks exactly like the photos. There were four of us- two adults and two children, and there was plenty of space for all of us.The beds were extremely comfortable. It was wonderful seeing a fox and four deer right outside the window. Meeting Mary and Eric was a real treat! They showed us around the house and were very helpful. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a Flagstaff Getaway.

Charming and private property that is at the heart of beautiful Flagstaff

  • 5 of 5

This is a well maintained property and met our expectations really well. We had a great time with our little ones. It is within a mile of all essentials from a shopping perspective and stones throw from downtown. It is also at the edge of the city so running out to Grand Canyon or Sedona is trivial.

Highly recommend!

Great Rental

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here over the 4th of July and had a great time. The house was exactly as described and the owner, Eric was there when we arrived and answered all questions. It is close to town and extremely quiet.

Fantastic property; perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

Our second time at this house. The location is centrally located to numerous hiking opportunities and historical sites including the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, and Wupatki National Monument. It is also very close to a wide variety of excellent restaurants and brew pubs in the old town area. We will return to this house on future trips to the Flagstaff area.

Cozy house with all the fixings one needs. We were able to walk downtown. Grocery is very near. Good location for lots of hikes. Better value if you stay longer.

This was a perfect fit in our vacation plans.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed three nights. On the two full days we were here we did day trips to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and then to the Sedona/Jerome area. Great location, lovely home and excellent hosts.

This beautiful home is situated on a heavily wooded lot just blocks north of downtown Flagstaff! Enjoy the culture, shops, restaurants and nightlife of downtown, and return to your quiet rental home in 5 minutes! This neighborhood is surrounded by forest trails that lead to Buffalo Park, Thorpe Park, the Flagstaff Urban Trail System and onward to the San Francisco Peaks. Biking, hiking and walking are very enjoyable in this area of town. There is even a small nature trail that leaves from the property to enjoy. Situated in the middle of it all, this property offers a home base for easy day trips to Grand Canyon Nat'l Park, Sedona, Wupatki Ruins, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Lava Tubes, Hart Prairie, Mount Elden, Peaks Sky Ride, Museum of Northern Arizona and the surrounding Reservations. Lake Mary is an easy 14 miles away and offers picnicking, boating, fishing, wake-boarding, water-skiing and swimming. Year round ice skating and Frisbee golf is available at the Jay Lively Activity Center just 4 blocks away. There is also the Flagstaff Aquaplex just a 10 minute drive to an indoor pool with waterslide, fitness center, and rock-climbing wall. And don't miss Saturday night family movies in Heritage Square...a locals favorite! You really can do it all or just relax in this prime location!
