About the property

Cabin in the woods, close to Mt. Baker. Located in Snowline Community.

The Nookshak has a warm and cozy vibe with a modern clean kitchen and bathroom. Big king bed with sky lights in the loft, nice L-shaped couch that surrounds the wood stove so you can chat with company or watch something on Apple TV. Extra bed and laundry in the back room. The Blaze King wood stove will not only knock your socks off it will dry them too. New stainless steel appliances, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dish ware, towels, sheets and last but not least WIFI. Plus, a fenced deck for the pooch! An outdoor fire pit area for relaxing in the evening. A gas BBQ for grilling dinner.

The cabin is located in the Snowline community in Glacier Washington. Snowline has an outdoor pool, tennis, pickle ball and basketball courts. A nice grass field for some baseball, horseshoes or hanging in the sun. There's easy access to a nice trail to the river through the woods that is great for a morning walk.

The Nookshak is a great place to unwind after riding Mt. Baker, fishing or kayaking the Nooksack river, mountain biking on any of the nearby trails or exploring any of the hiking trails in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

Notes:
This is a clean cozy cabin in the woods. Come stay to relax and get away from your cell phone (there's no cell service here, but there is WIFI so you can message and surf the web - and a "land-line" to make any needed phone calls). There are a couple nice walking trails through the woods to the river, which you can easily access from the cabin - good place for a dog walk. Spring & Summer are a great time for hikes around the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie Forest. There are many types of hikes - long, short, difficult or easy. This is a good base to explore the area. Not feeling too ambitious - stay around the neighborhood, Snowline has a community playground, pool, tennis and pickle ball court. The cabin has a nice fenced deck to sit and enjoy the lovely treed surroundings with your morning coffee, evening beverage or a meal. Just in case, for those chilly nights there is a wood stove. We have plenty of dry firewood and kindling ready for you to start and tend a fire.

Beautiful cabin nestled in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We went with our 1 year old baby, and it was the nicest cabin that we have stayed in in the Mt Baker area. It is beautifully done inside, with everything you need. Lisa was quick to respond to any questions we had, allowed us early check in due to it being available, and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again. It’s spacious inside, a stunning deck outside...and the fire pit was wonderful in the evenings. Thank you for the perfect stay Lisa!!

Excellent home perfect for a getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved the home, it's location and the whole rustic feel it has. Our host was very organized, communating with all instructions available for us. The location is only a few miles from Mt.Baker with access to multiple trails. There is a Coffee shop , a grocery and a restaurant within a 5 mile radius which was very convenient. The loft bed with sky view was definitely the highlight. Would love to go back sometime.

This cabin was a dream. Lisa was wonderful and her cabin was so clean and organized. Absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a litte get-away in the mount baker area. There’s also an AMAZING pizza place within walking distance called Chair 9!

Wonderfully cozy, comfortable, perfect

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the NookShack. The cabin had everything we needed including a box full of votive candles to light each evening, fluffy towels and really comfy beds, a great shower, lots of books, cool DVDs, an awesome wood stove, plenty of firewood, lots of drying hooks for soggy ski gear, clear instructions of how the cabin and equipment works...It was too rainy to use the outdoor grill and fire pit but those look like they'd be great! Also, the Snowline area has lots to offer with a park to throw a frisee, a "rec hall" to play ping pong, miles of neighborhood roads to walk and a trail system down to the Nook Sack River. Thanks to Lisa for a wonderful place to stay. We'll be back!
