Private apartment, shared house, 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 living space w/ kitchette
Referral real estate agent, chicken farmer, dog owner, works at Boise State, fun lover, happy go getter, loves living in Boise. I love hosting guests in my house. I'm never farther than a text away if you need anything. I strive to make my guests comfortable and happy. I do have dogs on my side of the house and for the most part they are quiet, but sometimes dogs are just dogs.
Jamie purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Jamie chose Southwest Ada County Alliance
I love this quiet neighborhood, but still close to all the action! Neighborhood is very safe and quiet. Parking in on the street, but house is located in the corner of a street, with very little traffic. I have lived all over the US, but there is something about Boise that is unique. Small enough to know people when you go out, but big enough to do fun city things. I love this quiet, cozy neighborhood!

Wonderful, Quiet, Comfortable
The apartment was cozy and perfect for one person (or perhaps a couple). The entire place was gorgeous and well maintained. I appreciated that the owner provided a selection of teas with the Keurig coffee maker and had offered to provide coffees as well. I ended up staying around the apartment a bit more than I had originally planned and was glad I had previous knowledge of there being rescue dogs in the other part of the house as they did act like dogs and would bark and run around when their owner came home. As an animal lover, this was no problem for me, especially as they were quiet during the night.
The owner was also extremely helpful and friendly, communicating with me regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. The house rules she left were very reasonable and were mostly common sense and courtesy so they were no problem to follow. I am sure that if I had found any problems, she would have gone out of her way to try to fix them for me and make sure that I was happy.
The neighborhood is quiet and comfortable and everyone seemed quite friendly and courteous. I enjoyed several walks around the neighborhood and it was a very lovely area.
Overall, I highly recommend this apartment for animal lovers on solo or couple trips who really just need a "home-base" while exploring the Boise area.
Thanks Jennifer for being such a great guest! I really enjoyed having you here!
Cozy & Easy to find
The place was clean and comfortable. Jamie provided us with coffee and fresh creamer and was very communicative throughout the process.
The house does seem to have an older water heater though- be prepared to let it heat up for a bit before showering, etc.
It was a great place to stay at for our short visit to Boise.
Thanks for your nice review! The water heater is actually only two years old, what is happening is, it's further away (in the garage) from that bathroom, so it takes a little time to reach the guest bathroom. It does the same for my shower as well! Thanks for staying with me and being such great guests!
Property was very clean and in a nice neighborhood.
We had everything that we needed. It was convenient and Jaymi was very pleasant and brought extra towels, coffee, and paper products.
I would highly recommend this apartment for a short term stay or longer if family lived in the area. It was two blocks from our daughter’s home. Has easy access to airport and downtown Boise.
Great little place
I thought this was a great little place to stay for a few nights. Had everything I needed for my stay to attend a conference. Even had popcorn!
Close to airport!
Comfy, cozy and clean!
Not prepared for my needs
I chose this quiet place with air conditioning and a refrigerator/ freezer to recover for a few days following my sinus surgery. The freezer was not working to keep my ice packs frozen. The owner did not want to keep the air conditioning on and consented when I asked if it could be kept at 75 degrees. I could smell the food being cooked my first night there. I could hear her dogs every time they barked or walked...the walls are thin. I asked for an extra hand towel and never received one.
I let the owner know I was having sinus surgery when I made the reservation. I decided to add another day to recover which she was able to do. I don’t feel the owner was keeping in mind that I just had surgery and needed ice packs and cool air. She was willing to put my ice packs in her freezer and give me plastic grocery bags with ice.
I had different expectations.
I too felt your stay was also a very bad match. I bent over backward to help make your stay comfortable but felt no matter what I did, you just weren't happy. I told you the extra towels were located in the closet on your side of the house and to help yourself with an extra towel. I don't have access to extra towels as they are kept on the rental side of the house.
My space is listed as "private apartment, shared house", so of course, you would smell cooking in the same house. I also list my place as "owner has dogs", so there is no hidden agenda on my part of keeping that a secret. Dogs are just dogs sometimes. My walls have had construction done to reinforce for sound and are nowhere near thin. I didn't realize until your stay the freezer wasn't working well and I did whatever I could do to help with that situation, even getting up at 6:30am to make sure you had your ice bags when you asked for them.
As for the air conditioner, I again bent over backward to make your stay comfortable, given it was in the 70s outside and very, very cool temps. You demanded the air to be on, and I did that for you. I am sorry you weren't happy with your stay, I too wasn't happy with it and agree with you 100% it was a bad fit for both of us and sometimes it just is.
I don't know what more I could have done to make your stay more comfortable Lisa. I was completely keeping in mind you just had surgery which was why I gave in to your every demand and went overboard to try and make you comfortable. I'm sorry my efforts weren't enough for you. Thanks for your feeback. Best wishes for your future.
