A stylish apartment set in the middle of the beautiful unspoilt village of Foz do Arelho. The new apartment has an excellent layout with good sized rooms, sizable kitchen with balcony and large terrace with BBQ catching most of the days sun, plus garage in basement (tight to get in)
Sleeps 6 with the sofa bed.
Bars and and restaurants are 2 minutes away, and the beautiful beach at Foz do Arelho,just over 10 minutes walk.
Feel at peace as you relax on the spacious terrace, taking in the sounds of the village.
The apartment has central heating making an off season stay a possibility. The city of Caldas da Rainha is 10 minutes drive for shopping etc, with a watersport's centre 5 mins away & first class golfing facilities available within 35 minutes drive.
Terrace: Situated on the terrace there is a large outdoor table with parasol, perfect for alfresco dinning. Possibly
provided by the brick BBQ also on the terrace. The 2 wooden sun chairs and 2 beach chairs will
enable easy relaxing in the sun.
The 2 entrances to the terrace are from the lounge and also the second bedroom,which has bunk beds, giving a more open feel.
The apartment has an individual garage in the basement car park.
As well as the extend able lounge table there is a small kitchen table with chairs.
We just love the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful countryside.
The "Real Portugal" as a lot of the locals like to describe the silver coast.
Foz do Arelho is in our view the best place to stay. Quiet but fun.

Apartment and fixtures and fittings all in excellent condition. Like staying in an Ikea showhome! Lovely peaceful village with all the essentials....bars, restaurants & mini market. Beach 5 minutes away in the car with plenty of free parking and informal restaurants overlooking the sea and lagoon. Large supermarket 10mins drive down the road in Caldas and with the towns of Sao Martinho (seaside town with sheltered bay), Obidos (old walled town with cobbled streets)and Peniche (for boat trips and fantastic seafood) the apartment in Foz is an excellent base for a family holiday. Excellent communication, organisation and directions from the owners and we are looking forward to booking again.
This apartment is modern, clean and in a fantastic location close to the beach and the shops and restaurants in Foz. The town itself is quiet and makes a perfect getaway as it has easy access to towns such as Lisbon and Sintra. Lovely area and would definately stay in this apartment again.
The apartment was very clean and had all we needed to enjoy our holiday.It was situated in the heart of the village with nearby bars,cafe's,restaurants and a nice cheap mini supermarket..We dined out at the Cabana do Pescador restaurant by the beach at Foz do Orelho,where the service and hospitality was second to none.We were lucky enough to be there for the festival run by the local villagers,with live music and stalls.It was a very friendly,quiet place which i would recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing holiday.The owner provided "Top Class" customer service and communication.Also the agency "Top Casas" were also helpful.We are looking forward to our next holiday there.
The apartment is bright and airy, cool through the heat of the day and quiet at night. There were village stores a short walk away and a selection of big supermarkets within ten minutes drive. We found the village small and welcoming, with some good restaurants and not overrun by tourists. The apartment facilities are all new and the place was spotless when we arrived. There was a selection of children’s toys and a great balcony for eating out.
This is an ideal base for a family vacation with 2 small children, especially if the parents are not content to spend all their vacation on the beach. The afternoon was our beach time, especially the clam-shell beach at Sao Martinho do Porto, about ten minutes to the north. Its protected bay is ideal for paddling kids. That left mornings to satisfy parental site-seeing ambitions. Obidos, only ten minutes away, is wonderfully preserved and there are four UNESCO World Heritage sites within an hour’s drive (Convent of Christ in Tomar, Monastery of Batalha, Monastery of Alcobaça and Sintra). When your four-year inevitably asks if we are going to another monastery you can always throw in the surprising and funky Dinosaur Museum down the coast in Lourinho into the mix.
We found so much to do in the vicinity that we abandoned a planned day-trip to Lisbon. Highly recommended.
nice apartment near the beach area have a lot of waves and other sea very quiet area for children, the apartment equipped with all in very good condition and located near one of the most beautiful villages of Portugal (obidos) well you can move to other cities for good communication with highway 8 km, the town of Foz de Arelho is very quiet without the crowds on the beach, eating good areas where cod and fish, and breathtaking sunsets, a vacation too good
The villa is ideally located near all the amenities of Foz village. The huge beach and lagoon are an easy 15-20 minute walk, or 2 mins by car. On the lagoon is a water sports centre and safe bathing. There are a number of restaurants e.t.c. in Foz and on the beach & prices are very reasonable. Sea fishing is popular here, & you can also book horse riding at the 'Quinta' in the village. There is a top class golf course/spa within 35 minutes drive i.e. Praia del Rey, & nearby you'll find the city of Caldas with a daily market, shops, banks etc and also the amazing medieval walled town of Obidos with it's beautiful cobbled streets and regular festivals. There are a number of beautiful bays within an easy drive e.g. Sao Martinho and Nazare. Popular surfing beaches are found at Baleal and Peniche, and you can arrange to visit local vineyards. Lisbon is under 1 hour away with regular buses running from Caldas. Other historic sites of interest include Fatima, Sintra, Batalha and Alcobaca.
