Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Javea, Moraira and Denia Area - Villa Cilantro

A single level, 3-bed, 2-bath villa in a quiet residential location

We have just completed (March 2016) a refreshing makeover on the villa with newly skimmed, smooth walls, simple uncluttered decor and new floor tiles throughout. We can now even boast USB sockets for easy charging of your devices!

This traditional, single-level Spanish villa is in an excellent and sunny position on a quiet residential road. The large (10m x 5m) private swimming pool is at the front of the villa, surrounded by a tiled patio and mature palm, yucca and lemon trees and other shrubs; with an outdoor shower facility and portable barbecue. The villa has an established side and rear garden with lawns, and an additional patio area for catching the late evening sun. The garden is not overlooked on any side of the villa. On the top of the villa is an additional sun-deck with views to the sea and surrounding mountains. Inside the villa are 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double with en-suite shower/WC. Well equipped, modern kitchen . The open plan dining/lounge area has two leather sofas. There are numerous games and books, and the lounge has a DVD player and a new flat screen TV/video with a good selection of movies and TV channels via Satelitte.

About Kate Gardner

My sister lives in Javea and has been a dentist here for over 16 years. When I took my husband to visit - he fell in love with the area and we decided to buy a villa so that we could regularly holiday in Javea.

Kate Gardner purchased this villa in 2001

Why Kate Gardner chose Javea, Moraira and Denia Area

It had everything we wanted from a villa - crystal clear swimming pool, quiet location close to local amenities and beaches. Perfect sized living accommodation for our family...we enjoy it every time we visit. With the recent updates (April 2014) we believe the villa is even more a home from home...a great option for a long winter let. Enjoy new heating, double glazing, ceiling fans & outside furniture. Perfect!!!

What makes this villa unique

The location of the villa means that there is often a cooling breeze off the sea - a relief in the hottest summer months - and a surprising view of the sea and Montgo from the roof terrace. We love lazing on a blanket in the shade of the trees in the back garden - and really enjoy the outside shower during the summer months!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We found this to be a perfect location for a relaxing easter break. The unseasonably hot weather made it all the more enjoyable and we could even have a brisk swim in the pool - it was 19-20 degrees most days which is fresh but we had the sun to warm us up. The new central heating was really welcome on the first few evenings when the sun had gone down - warmed up very quickly - and lovely hot showers too. The villa had everything we need for a very comfortable stay and feels very well cared for -- it felt very secure and peaceful...with virtually no traffic at all. The pool was sparkling as advertised and the sunbeds very comfortable..

We loved the walk to the viewing spots and the steps down to the rocks - great for jumping in on a calm day...and being keen open water swimmers we swam a mile across to Grenadella bay from here on a day when the sea was flat calm (we were wearing wetsuits!). We did a lovely walk to the castle - more stunning views! The local Spanish restaurant Los Amigos you recommended to us was fab - for 8.50 euros we had a 3 course meal with a beer or wine - it was well used by the locals (always a good sign) and very authentic - especially the paella on Friday...Great little German bakery a few minutes walk with lovely selection of croissants & pastries & baguettes plus some really good rye breads..good for a top up of general groceries (a bit pricey for a big shop).

We will definitely come and stay again. Many thanks!

Fantastic holiday retreat

  • 5 of 5

Never need to look elsewhere for a holiday villa!. This villa has everything you need. Quiet location, beautiful gardens and a superb private pool. Not to mention the stunning views that are a short walk away.Always very clean and all mod cons to a very high standard. My 6th visit and I took the family. The owner provided great recommendations of the area to visit, places to eat. Very accommodating with two kids who want to come back tomorrow. Definitely recommend this villa to friends and family. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely villa!!.

Fantastic Holiday in Villa Cilantro

  • 5 of 5

We have just had 12 fantastic nights staying in the Villa Cilantro. The villa was spotless clean and homely, with all the facilities you would need. The pool area was just amazing, with loads of space, sunbeds and complete privacy. We spent most days at the pool, as my two daughters just loved being able jump in without bothering anyone else, and they both learned how to dive. In the evening time after we returned from our night out, my daughters would get back into the pool, which you can light up at night time. which was fantastic and looked amazing. There are two lovely restaurants within walking distance, La Guardia & Casa De La Pizza and, as recommended by the Kate the owner we ate at both restaurants and had lovely meals, very reasonably priced, and lovely attentive staff. The bakery at the top of the street was really handy in the mornings. You will need a car or taxi to travel into Arenal if your looking for some night life but if like us you just want a relaxing, private, family holiday, then you don't need to travel. As we had a late flight home when leaving, Kate the owner extended our checkout time at no extra cost. All in all we had an amazing holiday and we would definitely recommend Villa Cilantro and we do hope to return again.

Charming and very well equipped villa

  • 5 of 5

Very nice stay for a fortnight in July 2015 in this beautiful villa for a second time (previous one same period in 2012). This villa is very well equipped and situated in a quiet area and not so far from nice beaches (5/10 mn by car).

Pool is pleasant (water around 30 C during our stay).

Thanks again Kate for this very good opportunity.

Pleasant family villa

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 5 nights at the villa with our two-year old toddler, 2 month old baby and grandparents. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing family break. Our toddler enjoyed the swimming pool, the extensive selection of games, books and dvds, as well as our evening visits from a friendly cat out in the garden!

We spent our mornings at the Arenal beach in Javea, which is very family friendly and only a 10 minute drive from the villa. After lunch at restaurants near the beach we relaxed at the villa in the afternoons and evenings. There are supermarkets near the villa, and also some restaurants very close although we didn't try those.

The villa itself feels very much like a family home with an outdoor area for dining with lovely views and a comfortable living room. We didn't use the roof terrace but the view from there was very nice. The en-suite bathroom from the main bedroom was great to have, and the main bathroom had a bath as well as shower which was useful for bathing our toddler.

It was good to have an English speaking contact available to phone if we had any problems. The owners were very quick to contact us to arrange our stay at very short notice, and were great to deal with regarding payment etc. The price was very reasonable and the flexibility of not having to book for a whole week appealed to us.

Overall, we found our stay very relaxing for the whole family, particularly enjoyed by our toddler who started learning to swim in the pool with the help of her grandparents!

Lovely Family Villa situated in a Quiet Location

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Cilantro and would highly recommend it. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The garden is lovely with lots of shady spots and plenty of garden furniture. The swimming pool is a brilliant size and got plenty of use while we were there. We had trips to the German bakery every morning for pastries and croissants and made use of the bbq. The children enjoyed playing volleyball on the Arenal beach and we enjoyed Tapas at Granadella and Portichol. The villa felt like home from home and we would like to thank Kate and Steve for a wonderful stay. Will definitely try and return one day.
