This house and land is my 'Caribbean Dream'. I arrived in Tobago 16 years ago. A city woman from London, UK. Fell in love with this beautiful Island and built my cottage and the villa on the land I love. The staff are honest, reliable and kind- hearted people, they work hard and take great pride in keeping the villa and surrounding land in tip top condition. They make sure our guests feel like family coming home.
I bought the land 'in the bush', no water or electric, no houses in sight. The land showed me what and how to build and the rains cut the land just the way it needed to be. Perfect. Truly my Piece of Paradise.
The views are spectacular, the land rich, bountiful and stunningly beautiful.
If you are a 'twitcher' (bird lover) then it is the ideal location to see many species, all beautiful especially the hummingbirds.
The land backs onto the bird sanctuary, they know no borders!

A superb location and most enjoyable stay. The gardens and views from here are wonderful. The house itself is more than adequate to the task of sleeping up to eight adults and although a few bits and pieces are suffering from tropical decline, it is still a slice of Eden . We had a great day on Christmas Day 2011 and my crew all enjoyed the day immensely. Isador who looks after the garden and Heather who looks after the house are to be commended. Sandra the owner lives just next door and nothing was too much trouble to make her guests feel at home. You WILL need a vehicle capable of traversing the somewhat rough bit of road leading to the villa, but one of the island's TERIOs will suffice admirably at about 350 TT's per day.
Tobago is at your feet and the whole island is reachable easily from this location. Airport is only 20 mins away and supermarket at Canaan only 10 min down the road.
Nearby restaurants that were worthwhile we're The Pavillion, The Seahorse and The Fishpot the latter of which is run by Erica and her daughter and is cheap and cheerful with tasty but relaxed grub. As a crew , we would normally stay at Coco Reef Hotel but this was a special stopover across the Xmas period and we are glad we booked the Pinkhouse.
Amazing house! The views are breathtaking, specially from the master suite! Plenty of furniture by the veranda allowed us to hang out and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner outside enjoying the sound of nature and views. Inside the house, everything is comfortable and clean! The rooms are big with their own bathrooms. The master bathroom is huge! Outside, everything is beautiful. Beautiful garden, trees with fruit! We picked a few limes and mangos that were juicy and delicious. The pool area is another amazing and relaxing space in the property.
We enjoyed our stay there. Sandra was a great host, and her staff (Heather and Margaret) were amazing in helping us set up. In short, I'd recommend this property to family and friends, and definitely would come back again.
Our stay at Mahogany Ridge was perfect! Sandra the owner was amazing and made the entire booking process easy. The house and grounds are well kept and maintained, everything was clean and Gia the housekeeper was awesome !! I will definitely recommend this home to any family looking for a relaxing private getaway! My children loved it!!
Who spends a sunny, blue-skied day in Black Rock, Tobago holed up in a rental?
We do, evidently.
Mahogany offers so many thoughtful spaces for doing nothing. First there is the airy upstairs bedroom with its wrap around verandah, offering views of both forest and ocean. Just the way the breeze whipped through the upper floor windows made us feel like staying in bed and looking at the birds. (How's that for something you don't do every day??!!)
Then there is the hammock on the back porch, the pool overlooking the garden, the thoughtfully-designed living area... enough distractions for the children not to mind staying in a couple days.
The vacation touches are balanced with utility--a full capacity washer and dryer, a well-equipped kitchen (with a lovely, new convection oven), separate full baths for every bedroom and a powder room for guests.
We'd planned on heading to Castara/Parlatuvier a couple times. Instead we spent most of our week sunning and soaking at the nearby beaches, only too happy to return to our pastel "home" for dinner, cards and a drink. Can't wait to return to do more nothing!!!!!!!!!
We had a very enjoyable time at the villa. We would definitely recommend this for others. The view was amazing along with the accommodations. The property was nicely maintained and decorated. We highly recommend guests to try out Rev's restaurant and Pigeon Point Beach. Only recommendation I would have for the villa is having a cooler for beach travels. We appreciated the use of the cottage the last day since we had a late departure.

Set in the hills above Black Rock village in large gardens (some manicured, some wild), Mahogany Ridge is the perfect choice for nature lovers and those who like to be off the beaten track.
We enjoyed 10 days of proper R&R at Mahogany Ridge in March-April 2015. The accommodation is simple, spacious and has character. It isn't 5* luxe and if that's what you're after you'd be better off in the nearby, slightly soulless (in my opinion) Stonehaven Villas but you'd be missing a treat.
The owner, Sandra, is very easy and nice to deal with and organised jeep hire for us (which included airport pick up and taking us to the supermarket for our first shop). The property is well maintained by regular cleaners and the property management team, particularly Zac, were really helpful in talking us through where and where not to visit on the island
There are good beaches only a short drive away and some good restaurants too - notably Seahorse. We dived with Undersea Tobago, based at the nearby Coco Reef resort. Our first day's diving was nothing to write home about but our second day we dived Maverick Wreck and Flying Reef and they were spectacular.
Black Rock is convenient for the south and central part of the island and not too far from the north. It's definitely worth visiting the north east of the island, particularly Englishman's Bay, the rainforest and Charlottesville.
We really enjoyed our stay and the island and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
This is a fantastic villa with amazing views. We always stay heret if we can get in. It is the most lovely house. It was clean and had great staff. I would recommend it to anyone.
The airport at Crown Point is 20 mins. Scarborough 15mins. Black Rock 5 mins. Beaches Caribbean 5 mins Golf, Horse riding, Fishing, Diving, all within approx 5 - 15 minutes
The Prospect Estate was a Coconut Plantation and the original owner started to sell off some land some 25 - 30 years ago. Many coconut trees remain and as the nut falls it takes root and just grows anew. The land is rich and fertile and abundant. The grounds of the Pink House on Mahogany Ridge are full of lush tropical fruit trees, plants and flowers. A birdwatchers paradise, we bound with the famous Grafton Bird Sanctuary. Intrepid explorers can cut a path through some bush to walk down to the beautiful beaches through the bird sanctuary. A delightful experience. (in dry season only)
Other Activities: 5 Mins from Golf Course
Golf: There are 2 golf courses in Tobago. Mt Irvine International, just 5 minutes drive from the villa.
Plantation Golf Course, 10 minutes drive.
