L'Appartement Saint-Georges (Gîtes de France Premium) is a furnished apartment ideally for 1 or 2 people in the Vieux Lyon (Lyon 5th arrondissement). Very well situated, you will be just 200 m from the metro (station Vieux Lyon - Cathédrale Saint-Jean), 10 minutes on foot from Perrache train station and an underground public car-park (paying) is situated directly below the building. A Vélo’V stand (bikes for rent) is also available at the foot of the building.

Right in the centre of Lyon, l'Appartement Saint-Georges enjoys remarkable views of the quais de Saône. Its luminosity, its style, harmonising the contemporary with the traditional charm of the 1900’s, its comfort as well as the care taken in the quality of the furnishings will bestow a special touch to your stay whether it be for a short break or a longer weekly or monthly rental.

Appartement St Georges, Vieux Lyon

The first impression of this flat was excellent and this impression did not change during our stay, despite the climb up four flights of stairs!

The description and photographs are honest and accurate and give a true description of the property. It is very tastefully decorated and appointed, very clean and well-maintained.

The flat comprises a spacious and airy sitting room, with a very well appointed, small open-plan kitchen off it. The bedroom has a large, comfortable double bed and generous wardrobe space. Shower and washing are separate from the WC. The shower/washroom is very elegant, with a bracing power shower. The WC is small (our only quibble), but was suitable, and, given the age of the property in which the flat is located, the owner has done very well with the toilet provision.

The owner was very welcoming and dealt very tactfully with our late arrival. She maintained contact during the week, but was never intrusive. The flat was spotlessly clean and well maintained.

Four large windows provide a superb view over the Saone and beyond.

The historic part of Lyon is fairly compact and is easily accessible by foot from this flat. The metro station is close and provides access to Lyon's excellent, integrated public transport system.

The attractions of Lyon are well known, and many are a short distance from this property. We endorse the many favourable descriptions provided in guidebooks.

We felt that the tariff was excellent value (We paid considerably more for a smaller and less well-appointed property in Paris the following week.)

Local shops, particularly the outstanding baker, butcher and cheesemonger, are adequate, although for fruit, vegetables and fish, there are better providers just across the Saone.

We recommend this property without reservation.

The Appartement Saint-Georges has undergone an extensive renovation and includes all of the comforts of home combined with the charm of Vieux Lyon. Anastasie made the rental process very easy. She responded quickly to our emails and checked on us while we were there. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Basilique de Fourvière, taking the Vaporetto boat to Confluence and sampling quenelles at the Café du Soleil. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to spend an enchanting vacation in Lyon.

Beautiful Flat - incredible view of Saone / Lyon

This is an beautiful apartment on the banks of Vieux Lyon with incredible views of the Saone River and La Presqu'île area of Lyon. It is newly remodeled (2013) and everything is brand new.

The main room is large with a sofa bed, desk, eating table, TV, Wi-Fi and two large windows overlooking the Saone. The bedroom has a king size bed (that can be two twins), a closet and another large window with the Saone view. (Room darkening curtains, too.) In the closet are an iron, ironing board, drying rack, extra linens/blankets, etc. The fully furnished kitchen has all new appliances - large fridge, dishwasher, gas hob, micro/conventional oven, Nespresso machine, hotpot and a washing machine. Everything is sparkling clean and new. The bathroom has a large shower and large, luxurious bath towels are provided.

The apartment is on the fourth floor, but that did not pose a problem for us. (My husband and I are in our fifties and are not too physically active at home.) The steps are worth the view once you are in the apartment!

Vieux Lyon is a wonderful place to stay while in Lyon. This apartment is minutes from the cafes, great restaurants, fromagerie, boulangerie, Metro .... everything you need is steps away. There is a very nice underground parking right in front of the apartment - very convenient. There is a even a Velo bike station in front of the apartment - if you are so inclined. (My husband and I had great fun using them to get around town.) Lyon has dedicated bike lanes in many areas - so it is a good city to try the Velo's. Lyon is also a great city to walk in - very compact. But if you want to take the Metro - the Vieux Lyon station is only 3-4 minutes walk away!

Anastasie is a perfect owner and goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need and can answer any questions you have.

This is a beautifully decorated apartment with an incredible view and a great owner! We highly recommend it!

Merveilleux séjour!

L'appartement est très agréable avec une décoration soignée. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle . Il ne manque rien.

L'emplacement est idéal entre le Vieux Lyon et la place Bellecour. la vue est le point fort de l'appartement. On ne s'en lasse pas.

Les seuls points négatifs sont peut-être l'accès(4 étages...une belle vue, cela se mérite!) et le bruit. Nous sommes sur les quais de Saône et les voitures sont omniprésentes jour et nuit.L'appartement est parfait pour 2 personnes .(le canapé lit comme lit d'appoint n'est pas des plus confortable contrairement aux lits dans la chambre.)

Anastasie nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de chaleur. je recommande cette location.
