About this property

Misty Mountain Hideaway | Mountain View, Hot Tub

When it comes to location, Misty Mountain Hideaway’s is close to perfect. The three-bedroom log cabin is in the Covered Bridge Resort, just five minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, the town’s main thoroughfare. When you stay here, you can quickly and easily get to just about every attraction the area has to offer, from Dollywood to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, from dinner theaters to golf. Yet the resort is so peaceful and beautiful, you can easily forget just how close to the action you are.

Misty Mountain Hideaway has even more going for it than a convenient, restful locale. The two-story cabin is an outstanding combination of comfort and rustic charm, with spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains right outside your windows.

The main floor’s huge wraparound deck is ideal for admiring the views, savoring the fresh mountain air and listening to the birds singing in the sunshine. Sip your morning juice or coffee on one of the deck’s rockers. Enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining table and stargaze late at night from the deck swing. Any time of day or night is perfect for luxuriating in the deck’s hot tub, though it’s especially restorative after a day spent hiking, rafting, biking or fishing.

The cabin’s interior is just as relaxing and welcoming as its deck, with wood-planked floors, walls and ceilings, comfortable furnishings and plenty of windows to bring the outdoors in. There’s loads of seating in the living area for everyone to gather together to watch the big game on the flat-panel TV or play Pictionary. In winter the stone-surround fireplace, located between the living and dining areas, will make the space even more charming than it already is.

As well as being near attractions, Misty Mountain Hideaway is close to markets—a good thing, because once you see the large, fabulously equipped kitchen, you’ll want to cook at least some of your meals here rather than dine out all the time. Stainless-steel appliances, cookware, tableware, plenty of counter space, a dishwasher to make cleanup a snap: this kitchen has it all.

After dinner, you can head upstairs to the game room to challenge the others to foosball or to sit down at the table to play rummy or Monopoly. The upstairs is also home to the primary suite, which is a haven unto itself. The elegance of the furnishings—a four-poster queen-size bed, upholstered chaise and luxe curtains complement the rustic refinement of the beamed ceiling and planked walls. In addition to a flat-panel TV, the room has a truly pampering jetted tub as well as a private bathroom.

The other two bedrooms are on the main floor. Both are furnished with queen-size beds. Each has its own flat-panel TV and is decorated in the same serene, inviting style as the rest of Misty Mountain Hideaway. These bedrooms share the cabin’s second full bathroom.

Have additional guests? The game room’s sofa opens into a queen-size bed, as does the living room sofa. And for good measure, the settee converts into a single bed, so that Misty Mountain Hideaway can sleep ten people in all.

Among the cabin’s other amenities are free Wi-Fi, a charcoal grill and a washer and dryer. in the summer, you’ll have free access to Covered Bridge Resort’s heated swimming pool.

With gorgeous views, a restful location that’s also close to the area’s attractions and amenities ranging from a hot tub to a fully equipped kitchen, Misty Mountain Hideaway has everything you need to enjoy your best vacation yet. Book your stay today, we can’t wait to see you!

Anniversary, birthday getaway
Nice property, close to entertainment. Beautiful view, spacious. Does not provide any spices or complementary coffee. Place is spacious. Normal wear and tear. But still a nice area, place. We had a great time. There was construction going on when we went. We made the best of it.

Pretty good, but room for improvement
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Check-in was easy and hassle-free, location is great, view is tremendous. Minutes from Pigeon Forge, easy access to the National Park through a side entrance. Cabin was pretty clean, except for the press-on nails left sitting on a window sill. The disappointments were specifically, the lack of TV beyond the big four networks (not a problem except on rainy days) and the foosball table being replaced by a pay-for-play arcade machine which is very unusual for a VRBO. We enjoyed the property and would recommend it to others. The listing should be updated to show the change in entertainment options, but beyond that, good place.

Misty mountain home experience
Great home and my family definitely enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we did not have heat for more than 24 hours before issue was resolved. There was a delayed response to clear the driveway/road. My family had to walk from the resort office to our cabin which was at the top peak. It was a challenge experience due to my family including small children and a pregnant woman trying to walk to our cabin.
