You’ll fall head over heels for Nice! The city boasts sparkling beaches, sunlit streets, ocean breezes, and a temperate climate year round. Unfortunately, the vacation rentals here tend to lack the elegance and whimsy of the rest of the town. We know—we stayed in several before buying our own penthouse apartment, Le Trésor de Nice. Call us for more information

Our experience with the accommodations in Nice spurred us to create a vacation rental experience that consistently surpasses our guests’ expectations. We spent months renovating Le Trésor de Nice before opening it to be shared with others, and it features all the personal touches you would expect from a treasured family home.

Two terraces and several large windows showcase the shimmering Mediterranean, the sun-washed architecture of Nice, and the gentle slope of the mountains. One terrace includes a four-seat dining table and lounge chairs for sipping wine under the moon, while the stars and city lights merge into one glittering panorama.

Marble floors pave the way into Le Trésor de Nice, which is reached by elevator and laid out into an open floor plan with a large living room, one bedroom, and one and a half baths.

A brand new, fully stocked kitchen with fittings and furnishings from Italy, stainless steel appliances, and granite counters is the perfect setting for preparing gourmet meals in the country that invented gourmet. A small supermarket for gathering fresh ingredients is located just down the way, along with a boulangerie, where you can induldge in a fresh croissant or buy a loaf of bread for later.

When its time to present your enchanting meal, a glass-top dining table, lit by an elegant chandelier, has room for six. You can also light a few candles and dine on the terrace in the balmy Mediterranean air.

The kitchen also has breakfast bar—an ideal place to settle in with an espresso from our Nespresso machine and catch up on emails (freeWi-Fi is provided). Or, if you’d rather work with a view, Le Trésor de Nice provides an office area in front of a large window overlooking the bay, which bustles with ships, boats, paragliders and planes descending to the nearby airport. This dreamlike view will be the only impediment to your productivity: a printer, scanner, and plenty of desk space for your laptop are included.

Luxury linens enfold a queen-sized bed in the bedroom—a wonderful place to rest after a full day of exploring. A second terrace with bay views is accessed from the bedroom. Here, for a romantic moment, you’ll find two chairs and a table with just enough space to rest a pair of wine glasses.

The bathroom includes a rainfall showerhead, vanity mirror, and spacious marble countertops for all of your cosmetics and beauty products. A half-bath with sink and WC is located just off the foyer. There’s also a sofa that converts to a bed in the living area, which will accommodate two extra guests.

The beach is a ten-minute walk from Le Trésor de Nice (15 to 20 minutes on the way back) or a five minute bus ride. We recommend some form of vehicle transportation so you can motor along the coast or into the mountains. A vehicle will also make it easier to reach the plethora of cafes and restaurants in Nice’s city square or Old Town. An electric car rental service—8€/hour with a one hour minimum—can be found just downstairs.

Prefer not to drive? There are several options for public transportation. Take the convenient bus service to Gare de Nice Ville, where you can take a train along the scenic coastline to Marseille or Italy.

Another perk—two of our friends in the building, French-Canadians who speak both English and French, are available to meet and greet guests, answer questions and assist in emergencies

It’s always a great time to visit, and our luxury vacation rental ensures your stay in Nice will be twice as nice. Get in touch today to book your getaway!

About Ralph & Karen Moorhouse

We are committed francophiles and after spending many years getting to know Paris, renovating an apartment there [224052] we started coming to the Côte d'Azure, looked for an apartment & knew that this was it when we walked into the living room and saw the view. Another renovation followed to a higher standard than the typical Nice offering - its a place we would live in full time....maybe some day!!

Ralph & Karen Moorhouse purchased this apartment in 2010

Why Ralph & Karen Moorhouse chose Nice

The view! Sitting on the balcony with a cool glass of Rosé enjoying the view, the sun and cooling breeze is magic. This is the enduring feedback we get from guests and why we spend more time here than in Paris [ID 224052]

What makes this apartment unique

We have 2 wonderful on-site staff, who have become good friends, to welcome you and help you settle in. A convenient bus will take you to the SNCF station, for travel along the coast, or hop off en-route to pick up another bus into the center of the town. Local supermarket & bakery will supply you basic needs to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the balcony.

Wonderful apartment and phenomenal view

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was larger than I anticipated. The view was the best we had spending three weeks in Europe. We had a car but you don't need it. We took local bus and train. The bus stop is convenient to the apartment as well as a grocery store, pharmacy and a nice place for pastry and cappuccino. We walked the coast to old nice from the apartment. Beautiful weather and a great time for us. Marlene and Jean are close by, speak English and very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again. They have everything you need and even many English channels on the tv and lots of movies for days you decide to relax.

Owner's Response: Michele: Glad you enjoyed the apartment and your stay in Nice. As you discovered, its very rare that you need a car since the bus and train service is so convenient. That walk along the Promenade des Anglais is very pleasant and with all the beach clubs, you can always stop for a beverage of choice and snack or indeed rent a lounger and relax with the view and sound of the surf. Hope we see you again and thanks for kind comments. R&K

Comfortable, fully functional, stunning view

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful vacation in Nice and the surrounding Cote D'Azur. Staying a the Tresor de Nice felt more like returning home every night after a day of sightseeing or sunbathing at the beach. The view from the balcony of the Bay of Angels is simply unforgettable.

simply fantastic

  • 5 of 5

The apartment has every you need to live in, it is clean, comfortable and nice. Also the organisation of our holiday by the help of Ralph and Karen was great. We would like to come back, but then we'll fly, for the airport is quite near but not too loud.

Owner's Response: Marika: It was a pleasure having you stay at our apartment and helping you plan your visit. If you can fly in, we are only 10 mins by taxi from airport, so quite close. We rarely even rent a car and just use the bus and train to get around – very convenient and actually quicker when you factor in traffic and looking for parking in the various tourist hot spots. As you say airport noise is not a problem and we enjoy watching the planes come in low over the Bay just off the Promenade des Anglais, both from the balcony and beach. Hope to see you again in Nice or Paris. Thank you. R&K

Home from home with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful apartment in a nice quiet area of Nice. It was clean and really well presented, containing everything you could wish for. Was great to wake up in and great to return to after a day's site seeing. There was parking for our car and the public bus was close by for trips to town plus local supermarket and bakery for the essentials.

Owner's Response: Lyndsey: Sounds like you really enjoyed your stay in Nice and our apartment – we try make visits as smooth as possible. Parking availability and easy access to bus work well – we rarely have a car when we are there, since with combination of bus/train and sometimes Uber, we can easily see most of the towns along the coast. My favorite thing is to wake up with a coffee and pastry on the balcony and then end the day in same spot with a glass or 2 of a cool rosé watching the lights and enjoying a restful hour or so. Come back soon. Thanks. R&K

Excellent place to stay and beautiful view of the ocean

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback. Your responsiveness and attention to detail is top-notch. We had a fantastic vacation, and were very pleased with Le Tresor de Nice. It was nice to have the elevator. Also, the grocery store and bakery just around the corner was also very convenient. There is a just a little noise from the street at night, along with almost daily garbage trucks going on late in the night so we did have to shut the bedroom window. I think this should be mentioned for light sleepers.

Jean and Marlene were a true delight, super friendly and making us feel right at home.

Your Nice home is very nice, one of the nicest (maybe the nicest) places we have stayed in in France (this was our fifth France visit). We especially appreciated how spacious it was, and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine. The apartment was very clean and well-appointed. When we first booked we were concerned that the apartment was far from Vieux Nice, but that concern quickly vanished when we found out how easy it was to use the bus system. In fact, we appreciated the peacefulness of the apartment, away from the crowds and hubbub of Vieux Nice.

The bus service is great, we used it a lot, and the bus schedule printouts and other tips were very helpful for figuring out the system. As a bus system is initially a bit daunting to non-bus riders like ourselves.

We appreciated the private parking--we needed to use it one time when we came home late.

Owner's Response: Heide: Thanks for your kind comments and pointing out some of the advantages of the apartment & location. Yes, sometimes the late night trash pick up can be noisy but its short lived and we do provide earplugs for light sleepers. Its usually the birds in the monrning that wake us, as we alway sleep with the windows open. Now we have access to restricted parking, it makes life easier if you come back late. Thanks and hope to see you again in Nice or Paris

great apartment with wonderful view

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped, the view is great and the area is beautiful. Bakery and bus stop around the corner. Short walk to the Promenade. We consider to be back in September.

Owner's Response: Michiel: thanks for your kind comments and glad you enjoyed the apartment AND the view!! Having a bakery that is open 7 days a week and small supermarket within 100m of the apartment is very useful. Don't know if you went to the bistro near the bakery - Francise the owner speaks some english and is very friendly [open for breakfast and lunch]. Hope to see you again in September - Happy 2016!!
