Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Nice - Le Trésor de Nice

1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom [WC], sleeps 4 max.

You’ll fall head over heels for Nice! The city boasts sparkling beaches, sunlit streets, ocean breezes, and a temperate climate year round. Unfortunately, the vacation rentals here tend to lack the elegance and whimsy of the rest of the town. We know—we stayed in several before buying our own penthouse apartment, Le Tresor de Nice. Call us for more information

Our experience with the accommodations in Nice spurred us to create a vacation rental experience that consistently surpasses our guests’ expectations. We spent months renovating Le Tresor de Nice before opening it to be shared with others, and it features all the personal touches you would expect from a treasured family home.

Two terraces and several large windows showcase the shimmering Mediterranean, the sun-washed architecture of Nice, and the gentle slope of the mountains. One terrace includes a four-seat dining table and lounge chairs for sipping wine under the moon, while the stars and city lights merge into one glittering panorama.

Marble floors pave the way into Le Tresor de Nice, which is reached by elevator and laid out into an open floor plan with a large living room, one bedroom, and one and a half baths.

A brand new, fully stocked kitchen with fittings and furnishings from Italy, stainless steel appliances, and granite counters is the perfect setting for preparing gourmet meals in the country that invented gourmet. A small supermarket for gathering fresh ingredients is located just down the way, along with a boulangerie, where you can induldge in a fresh croissant or buy a loaf of bread for later.

When its time to present your enchanting meal, a glass-top dining table, lit by an elegant chandelier, has room for six. You can also light a few candles and dine on the terrace in the balmy Mediterranean air.

The kitchen also has breakfast bar—an ideal place to settle in with an espresso from our Nespresso machine and catch up on emails (freeWi-Fi is provided). Or, if you’d rather work with a view, Le Tresor de Nice provides an office area in front of a large window overlooking the bay, which bustles with ships, boats, paragliders and planes descending to the nearby airport. This dreamlike view will be the only impediment to your productivity: a printer, scanner, and plenty of desk space for your laptop are included.

Luxury linens enfold a queen-sized bed in the bedroom—a wonderful place to rest after a full day of exploring. A second terrace with bay views is accessed from the bedroom. Here, for a romantic moment, you’ll find two chairs and a table with just enough space to rest a pair of wine glasses.

The bathroom includes a rainfall showerhead, vanity mirror, and spacious marble countertops for all of your cosmetics and beauty products. A half-bath with sink and WC is located just off the foyer. There’s also a sofa that converts to a bed in the living area, which will accommodate two extra guests.

The beach is a ten-minute walk from Le Tresor de Nice (15 to 20 minutes on the way back) or a five minute bus ride. We recommend some form of vehicle transportation so you can motor along the coast or into the mountains. A vehicle will also make it easier to reach the plethora of cafes and restaurants in Nice’s city square or Old Town. An electric car rental service—8€/hour with a one hour minimum—can be found just downstairs.

Prefer not to drive? There are several options for public transportation. Take the convenient bus service to Gare de Nice Ville, where you can take a train along the scenic coastline to Marseille or Italy.

Another perk—two of our friends in the building, French-Canadians who speak both English and French, are available to meet and greet guests, answer questions and assist in emergencies

It’s always a great time to visit, and our luxury vacation rental ensures your stay in Nice will be twice as nice. Get in touch today to book your getaway!

About Ralph & Karen Moorhouse

We are committed francophiles and after spending many years getting to know Paris, renovating an apartment there [224052] we started coming to the Côte d'Azure, looked for an apartment & knew that this was it when we walked into the living room and saw the view. Another renovation followed to a higher standard than the typical Nice offering - its a place we would live in full time....maybe some day!!

Ralph & Karen Moorhouse purchased this apartment in 2010

Why Ralph & Karen Moorhouse chose Nice

The view! Sitting on the balcony with a cool glass of Rosé enjoying the view, the sun and cooling breeze is magic. This is the enduring feedback we get from guests and why we spend more time here than in Paris [ID 224052]

What makes this apartment unique

We have 2 wonderful on-site staff, who have become good friends, to welcome you and help you settle in. A convenient bus will take you to the SNCF station, for travel along the coast, or hop off en-route to pick up another bus into the center of the town. Local supermarket & bakery will supply you basic needs to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the balcony.

great apartment with wonderful view

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very comfortable, well equipped, the view is great and the area is beautiful. Bakery and bus stop around the corner. Short walk to the Promenade. We consider to be back in September.

Owner's Response: Michiel: thanks for your kind comments and glad you enjoyed the apartment AND the view!! Having a bakery that is open 7 days a week and small supermarket within 100m of the apartment is very useful. Don't know if you went to the bistro near the bakery - Francise the owner speaks some english and is very friendly [open for breakfast and lunch]. Hope to see you again in September - Happy 2016!!

Beautiful Stay in Nice

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Nice. At our arrival we were greeted by Jean who was very pleasant and took time to give us all necessary information to make our stay in Nice enjoyable. The apartment is very clean, spacious, nicely decorated with a fantastic view of Nice from the balcony. We will carry a long lasting memory of our first dinner at the balcony, while watching in owe the lights of Promenade des Anglais, the full moon reflecting in the darkness of Mediterranean sea and the fireworks in the distance.

In a short walking distance from apartment you can find a nice grocery store with fresh vegetables and fruits, and the bakery with fresh croissants and baguettes. Close by there is a bus stop to take you to the beautiful beaches and to your daily adventures in Nice Côte d'Azur.

Overall it was much more than what we expected. We want to thank to our hosts Ralph and Karen for a memorable stay in Nice. We highly recommend this apartment and would come back in a heartbeat.

Owner's Response: S&D: We enjoy "getting to know" our guests and always try talk before they book and by email with as much information as requested. Its always pleasing to get good feedback that we have helped make the vacation more enjoyable - that's our goal and we are ably helped by Marlene & Jean in Nice. Those dinners on the balcony overlooking the bay are magical, we've spent many hours sitting there with a glass or 2 of chilled Rosé, relaxing and enjoying the view - also its fun to see the planes swooping over the bay as they approach the airport. Hope to see you again in Nice or Paris

Nice apartment with everything You need

  • 5 of 5

We had excellent time in Nice and we tried to see as much as possible. Every morning we left already at 9.30 and arrived back at 10 o'clock. We spent whole days in St Tropez, Monaco and Menton. We also went in Italy, San Remo and last day we spent at Antibes. As we had very long days we did not have chance to just enjoy Your beautiful apartment. But still we had long breakfasts on the balcony and in the evening kids liked to read their books in the balcony and we had a glass of wine :) Nice and area close to Nice is very beautiful and for sure we would like to come back in one day. I already saw that You have apartment also in Paris. We have not been there but I would really like to see Paris as well. And if kids will hear that there is Disneyland... :)

I liked very much the details in your apartment, there were hand lotions next the soap and the welcome wine And chocolate were very sweet. We felt like we were very expected. Marlene was so nice and we could use your towels in our last day. So, we were very satisfied with Your apartment and for sure we will suggest it for our friends and I will contact you for sure if we will visit Paris or Nice again.

Owner's Response: Silja: It was a pleasure to have you and your family stay with us. You really packed in a lot of sightseeing and it looked like the kids enjoyed themselves from the pictures you sent. We try to make our guests very comfortable with amenities and flexibility with check out whenever possible. Having Marlene/Jean on site to help out is invaluable. Hope we can see you again, perhaps that Paris visit and Disneyland for the kids ;-). All the best to you all, it really feels like we got to know you via all our email 'conversations' - we like that!!

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was well fitted out with a magnificent view of Nice harbor. After a busy day sightseeing it was wonderful to come home, kick back on the balcony and enjoy the cool breeze. Marlene and Jean welcomed us and took care of any needs that came up. Ralph and Karen were fantastic in giving prompt, detailed advice to help us make the most of the Cote Azur

Owner's Response: Doug: glad you enjoyed your stay and it sounds like you were really able to appreciate why we bought the apartment......sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view usually with a cool glass of Rosé!! We enjoyed working with you to make sure you had all the information and suggestions so you could enjoy the area. Of course, Jean & Marlene, our on location assistants, are gems - they are there to help and we appreciate what they do for our guests. Hope to see you again in Nice or perhaps Paris.

Fabulous Nice Find !

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much Ralph and Karen for a fantastic stay, we not only fell in love with Nice but we fell in love with your lovely apartment ! Far enough away from the crowds to enjoy peace and quiet and amazing views but close enough to be at the fun spots by bus or taxi in a short time.

For sure we will be back to your comfy home ! We travel a lot in Europe and it is always difficult to find some of the comforts of home - we found that and more - we hope to try your Paris location in the coming years on a return visit as well.

Merci ! Jessica and John , Phoenix Arizona

Owner's Response: Jessica: It was a pleasure working with you and its always gratifying to hear how much our guests enjoy the apartment, the facilities , view and convenience. The convenient [& cheap] bus service is very useful for getting around and making connections if you want to go to Monaco, Italy or along the coast - we rarely use a car ourselves. We have found Uber quite useful for late night trips back from the town center. Thanks again and we look forward to "seeing" you again in Nice or Paris. R&K

Great appartment, very well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your nice apartment, which we really enjoyed very much. On our first day we walked from the apartment all the way down to the old village which we really enjoyed. It was a very nice walk and not at all boring. For the way back we took the bus which brought us conveniently almost back to the entrance of the building of the apartment. The concerns about the pull-out sofa turned out to be not justified since it didn't bother the kids. According to them it was the best pull-out sofa they ever slept on. Maybe, the fact that we walked quite a lot every day supported their positive sleeping experience. Overall apart from having had too few days we really enjoyed our stay and even the weather was not too bad. It just could have been a little warmer but that's how it is if you travel early in the year. Nevertheless, despite the temperature some people were even brave enough to go swimming. Also the Security deposit was credited before we returned home. The quickest refund we ever experienced. Certainly, a place we will try to stay again when we return to Nice. Thanks for everything.

Owner's Response: Ulrich and family: thanks for a very descriptive and kind review. We were there just after you and did the same walks in reverse – taking the bus into the old town then walking back. I think we saw the same brave swimmers, because although it was cool in April, some were swimming and sunbathing!! Glad the sofa bed worked out for the kids. It was a pleasure working with you and we always enjoy getting to know our guests via email and phone – we try make your holiday as personal as possible. Hope to see you again in Nice or perhaps Paris. Best regards
