La casa del Amanecer (Home of Dawn) welcomes its guests in a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere close to Granada city. Located up in a hill amidst a natural and sunny environment, the house presents remarkable panoramic views of the hills, with the Sierra Nevada as backdrop. The views of the sunrise here are a daily stunning surprise! A privileged place where to stay in Andalusia, the house provides all the comforts of a quality holiday villa right in the heart of Andalusian culture. Located on the Route of the Caliphate, between Granada and Cordoba, our guests are able to discover the authentic Andalusia and its great cultural and historical wealth. Easily accessible due to its excellent location, the house also allows visiting a fair part of Andalusia in the best conditions.

Just 30 minutes away from the beautiful city of Granada, Casa del Amanecer accommodates 6 to 8 people. At only 3 minutes drive down the hill, there’s a small village which includes a grocery store and 2 bars...

Rebuilt a few years ago upon the remnants of an old Cortijo, the house develops a special bond with the surrounding nature. Thanks to the panoramic views, the immediacy of trees and plants, the easy access to the terraces and pool, and the large bright interiors, the house offers a relaxing and natural atmosphere, balancing the cool interiors with the beauty of the outdoor spaces.

The house consists of 3 double bedrooms with toilets and private bathroom. On the ground floor is a large open living-dining-kitchen area, with a wide bay window and access to the terraces. On the upper floor we can find another living room, two of the three bedrooms and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi. Outdoors, seven main terraces are interconnected with small stone steps surrounding the swimming pool and front of the house.

The geographical location of the place makes it easy to visit most of the top cultural and historic sites of Andalusia, such as the Alhambra in Granada and the Mosque in Córdoba, cities that also offer a wealth of other monuments and places to discover. From the house, it is easy to access the hot springs of Granada, the Arab baths, the ski resort of Sierra Nevada, the beaches of Salobreña or the entire route of the Caliphate connecting Granada with Cordoba, with its many picturesque white villages on the way.

The house is Beautiful and the view is stuning. We want to share the place with other peaople from aboard , with think it is a special place to stay and it is located in a very beautiful natural surrounding.

What makes this house unique

Idealy located to visit most of Andalousia best places. The property has a very easy acess from Granada. Very conformatble house, nice swimming pool.

Our stay at Alcala la Real

This house is just wonderful! The views are fantastic, across the Sierra Nevada. The outside dining area is wonderful - a lovely wooden table and chairs on a porch in shade, with flowers all around and again, views over the mountains. The pool is great. Big enough for a decent swim and clean and cool, again with great views. Loungers around the pool and lovely light breezes and the sound of the wind through the surrounding olive groves. There are lights around the pool so you can sit there at night. The amenities in the house are great. The washing machine, dishwasher, showers, rooms and bedrooms are all to a high specification. There's lots of hot water, dishes, glasses, lovely furniture, towels, bedding. You'd be forgiven for wanting to spend your two week holiday in the house but there are some lovely places to go in the surrounding area. There are two great bars really close to the house that serve nice drinks and great tapas and the staff are really friendly. Alacala la Real town is lovely and about 10 minutes drive away, with a few good supermarkets and a great market on Tuesdays. The fort at Alcala is certainly worth a visit and there are good restaurants and bars. we saw a wonderful religious procession at the Church of San Juan there and a strange "Burning of the Witch" ceremony! Granada is just about 30 minutes drive away so you can visit in the evening to avoid the heat. Great views of the Alhambra lit up. we'd also recommend visits to Montefrio, Moclin and Priego. We are already trying to arrange our next trip to the house. We would also recommend getting the local chef Conchi to cook a typical Andalusian meal at the house. She is lovely and her food is delicious. We would really recommend this house.

A very special place which suited my husband and myself perfectly.

A house lovingly renovated to create open space inside and open it to the outside yet preserving a Moorish feel to it. The vistas on to the hills with their olive groves & Snow capped Sierra Nevada within the warmth of May with birds singing, sheep bleating in their way home in the evening and each piece of furniture carefully chosen was a real delight. We used it as a base to explore the area and discovered the fort at Alacala de la Real where we spent time learning about Spanish history. We also drive to Granada & Cordoba to explore the sights there. Jerome was wonderful : met us on time & explained where to buy groceries & delicious locally made goat cheese. Responded promptly to our wish to have a different type of coffee maker. A place to enjoy the countryside and be away from the hustle & bustle yet close enough to drive to experience the must see sights in Granada & Cordoba.

Baignade à l'aube face au magnifique paysage, la sierra Nevada au lointain.

Notre hôte était très prévenant et sympathique. Le cadre magnifique. La maison, entourée de respectables oliviers, avec le grand séjour et l'espace dégagé pour l'escalier lui donne un air indéniable d’hacienda. La nature environnante est superbe. La piscine est largement dimensionnée et l'eau bien fraîche, ce qui est appréciable en contraste avec la chaleur rencontrée même fin octobre. La maison, quoique relativement isolée en hauteur, n'est pas loin d' Alcala la Real et de Grenade. Sur le conseil de notre hôte, nous avons visité Priego de Cordoba, où l'accueil du centre touristique était parfait, et nous a permis de découvrir tous les lieux pittoresques de cette petite ville andalouse typique. Sur place, au village, de très bons produits locaux tels le fromage de chèvre réputé et l'huile d'olive (un grand classique!). L'atmosphère du lieu reflète un amour envoûtant pour l'Andalousie, terre de contrastes. Idéal pour se ressourcer.

Superbe séjour dans cette très belle maison

La maison est très bien située, entre Grenade et Cordoue, en pleine nature. Toutes les commodités sont à distance acceptable (Alcala La Réal ou même le village pour le petit supermarché, la fromagerie délicieuse - très bonne huile d'olive également). La maison est spacieuse, la vue magnifique, la piscine superbe, les sanitaires très bien, la propreté ok. Jérôme (et Conchi) ont été très disponibles et arrangeants, tout était super !
