I'm a writer that lives on the ocean in Southern California and we often use this house to visit east-coast friends/family and the seclusion of the home lends itself well for writing/relaxing. We know you will enoy it as much as we do.
Joyce Lorick purchased this house in 2007
Family/friends/secluded get-away for writing.

We enjoyed the stay in your beautiful home. the location was perfect & so was the weather. Circles has some great seafood & the stuffed grouper was awesome. The "extras" you leave for the guests mad the stay ever more comfortable.
The "B" Boys
My family and I (9 adults, 6 children) had the opportunity to stay at this home for the week after Christmas. This is a beautiful home in an upscale neighborhood. We spent one afternoon just walking through the neighborhood, viewing all of the nice homes and found a playground for the kids.
The home has recently been renovated, and the upgrades are very nice. There’s new flooring and new furniture. The three upstairs bedrooms are very spacious, and there’s plenty of room for all of the extra beds. The room downstairs that was turned into a bedroom is large enough for a roll-a-way bed also. The large sofa and the openness of the den and dining areas allowed our family to spend lots of time together without feeling crowded.
The heated pool is a GREAT bonus. The kids loved it! We had difficulties at first when trying to use the spa heat. It would turn on the spa filter and empty the spa, and it took many hours for it to refill. However, we found out that if we just use the pool heat, it will heat the spa up to a nice temperature as well.
We used the kitchen and laundry room a lot, and it was nice to have so many amenities already in the home. If you run out of anything or have any problems, just give Joyce a call, and she will quickly respond to your needs. Joyce is extremely nice and very pleasant to work with.
We were in town for New Year’s Eve, and the upstairs balcony provides a great view to see the fireworks show that takes place in town. We were also able to see a few other shows taking place in the distance. S/N, there’s a drive-in movie theater nearby, but most of the big attractions are at least 30 minutes away.
We did have one big problem while we were there. There was a leak coming from one of the bathrooms that we were able to notice from the front porch. I immediately informed Joyce, and she had someone there first thing in the morning to check out the problem. Due to the leak, we were unable to use that bathroom for the rest of stay. Joyce was very apologetic, and for our inconvenience, she fully refunded our $600 for pool heating. Other than this, everything was fine, and we had a great time.
The property is located in a a quiet upscale neighborhood, close to amenities, the interstate system and the airport. The owner was very pleasant to deal with, as we did have a few issues during our stay. The first night the air conditioner barely worked and it made for some uncomfortable sleeping. Later in the week it gave out completely, but the owner had it repaired by the next morning. The house was undergoing some renovation, so we were discounted $200 on our rental price. The biggest downside was the home could not be secured when you left to go to somewhere, and this left everyone in our group feeling a bit uneasy. We also encountered a number of spiders, centipedes and beetles in the house that had to be dealt with. Upon our arrival we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher and our bedroom closet had to be cleaned before we could store anything in it. The TV in the living room area kept turning off by itself every 9 to 35 minutes, which made watching a college football game quite exasperating. To be fair, overall, we had a good time and the home served its purpose, but we will probably look elsewhere next time.
One star for Nice Community. All beaches and city sightseeings are minimum 1 hrs drive.
No 4th Bedroom. It's just a covered patio as 4th Bedroom. Most of the things were broken and they charge for those broken things.
This home is beautiful. Decor is really first class. Everything in the house worked properly (no problems with a/c etc). Loved fishing off the dock. The lani is so large and so is the pool. Too bad that it rained the entire week we were there. But there was no lightening so we swam in the rain although the pool was really really cold. The 4th "bedroom" is not really a bedroom, rather a room off of the lani. It had no closet and the air conditioning did not service that room. We were ok living out of our luggage and running a fan. But some may not be fine with that. The upstairs bedrooms are all masters with onsuites. Beautiful. For those travelling to Apollo Beach for the first time, be aware that there is no beach. There is a small area on the bay...but it is not the beach.
We had a group of 10 women at this home, and it was perfect! The pictures don't do it justice and the community is very well kept and safe. All of the little extras are included, so even if you forget something, you could be surprised to find it there! The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, so we could cook away! While the nearby beach was closed for restoration and construction at the time, we were happy to enjoy the pool/patio and found no need to drive to the further away beaches. Would definitely return!
The ooh's and ahh's came from everywhere as we entered the house and kids explored. As a group of 4 adults and 6 children we couldn't have asked for a better lay out. Everyone had a place. The pool was the perfect size. We spent half of our days out there enjoying the sun and listening to music. Even spent a day grilling and had dinner outside. The kitchen had all the comforts of home. Loved having the paper and plastic items to cut down on the washing dishes. Especially with having all the kids. The dock was a big favorite for the Dads. They fished a lot, or at least tried to. Had better luck at the neighborhood marina. But we did see dolphins making there way through the channel. All in all it added the perfect touch to a wonderful week of sun, beaches, Universal, and dog races. The manatees had already left the viewing center but we still had fun with all the extras there. Our favorite thing to do in the neighborhood was walk to the mini beach behind the clubhouse. I could go on and on. A definite do again. Apollo Beach is an awesome area to stay!!!
