Guestbook comments from the owner

Chalet position - great really enjoyed being able to walk to town and forest walks.

Ski buses stop close.

Transfer for airport - great.

Accommodation - great, overall bedding, robes superb.

If someone is more than 6 foot tall, maybe allocate them to bedrooms other than the eaves room, as all the other ensuites have a higher shower height.

The kitchen for me cooking everyday was good lots of utensils and plates etc.

Jacuzzi great and fire every night made it so cosy.

Pre booking - such good communication from the owner and so informative

Would we come again? Yes

Great place to stay in Chamonix

  • 4 of 5

An extremely well situated chalet within 10 mins walk of Chamonix centre with all the local amenities, shops restaurants etc and 5 mins from the shuttle bus stop allowing easy access to Argentiere and other areas of the Chamonix valley. Beautifully maintained with all the facilities - large rooms, comfy beds, wifi/UK TV for the teenagers - needed for a relaxing holiday walking in the surround hills. A soak in the hot tub and a cold beer on the terrace enjoying the views the a welcome reward after a hard day! A trip to the micro-brewery - less than 5 mins walk away - for a burger and a beer is a must. Very attentive owner who ensured that the holiday went off without a hitch. Highly recommended.

Great stay in a nice, clean and cosy chalet!

  • 5 of 5

The chalet had everything we needed and more. It is big enough for 8, but not too big either. Since the weather (as it often is) was mediocre in Chamonix, we had to spend some time indoors, so we did appreciate the high standard of the chalet...The microbrewery close by is great, and the city centre is just a short walk away. There is a nice room in the basement for storing mountain gear and drying clothes. Nice ensuites for all the bedrooms. We will be back!

Luxury hotel meets comfortable mountain home

  • 5 of 5

Our group had an incredible early March stay this winter. Our 3 families appreciated that the bedrooms were split over 3 floors allowing for privacy. We loved the en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom and individual temperature controls. The fluffy towels, robes and slippers were a luxury! The common areas were warm and inviting with plenty of seating. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking group dinners. Another bonus was the seemingly endless supply of cups so no one was without a clean one despite near constant consumption of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate throughout the week. We loved curling up beside the 3-sided fireplace and indulging in the selection of games and dvds during the snowy evenings. The boot room had plenty of space for all our skis, snowboards, boots, and gloves, all of which were dry and toasty warm at the beginning of each day thanks to the boot warmer.

The location was great. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the hot tub. The bus stop around the corner from the chalet was helped us easily get to the different ski areas. You want the #2 La Frasse stop - other buses will drop you off in town and you have to trek back to the chalet. It's only about 10 minutes, but every step counts in ski boots at the end of the day! We also rented a car which made it even easier to get to Grand Montets (15 min instead of ~30) and to the Carrefour to stock up on groceries. There were also smaller grocery stores within walking distance. We enjoyed the food and beer at the micro brasserie that was a few minutes walk away, but watch out for the rugby schedule - some days it's impossible to get a seat. But no worries, walking a few more minutes takes you into town with many more options for eating, drinking, and shopping. We found the ski rental at the Intersport across the street from the micro brasserie very convenient. Nearby there is also the Richard Bozon center with a swimming pool and ice skating when we needed a break from the skiing.

Jayne was a wonderful host. She went above and beyond in helping with my questions and arrangements for off-piste guides, ski lessons, extra cleaning service, a clutch late check-out, cribs for the babies and more. Thank you Jayne for making our dream vacation a reality!!

We hope to be back soon!

Excellent Chalet in good location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Chamonix, the Chalet was as described, very comfortable with good facilities. Clear instructions from the owner who was very helpful throughout the process, I recommend the Chalet for a luxury stay in Chamonix. The Chalet is a short walk to a micro brewery and 10 minutes to the town centre. We will be back.

Wonderful spacious and clean chalet. Stylish furniture and very smart bedrooms, all ensuite. Lovely sitting room with traditional log fire. The hot tub was a real luxury.

Great views and very convenient for the town centre.

Luxury pad

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this accomodation was quality. The bed linen and towels to kitchen utensils and pots. There was a hospitality tray awaiting our arrival with tea coffee milk and biscuits which was a nice touch after a long journey and appreciated. The town is a 10 min walk away and for an informal dinner the micro brewery is only a couple of mins away. They serve very good burgers and steaks. If you want a special night we went to cap horn where we had pre drinks meal and later a club all in the same place. Excellent night. Our visit was for three nights only and wish we had time to explore further as the chalet is perfectly situated to the bus stop to take you to all the resorts.
