Villaluz is a historic villa completely renovated beach front in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz).

Built in 1920, is a Villaluz summer villas by the sea for the court of the Duke of Orleans. It was designed by the architect Aníbal González mixing style merchants observation towers of Sanlúcar, pioneers in the trade with the 'New World', with the wine cellars of the locality and Sherry region where s' amount Manzanilla, Fino, Pedro Ximénez where.

The house has been completely renovated and offers a very modern and comfortable. Marble floors and underfloor heating make it very pleasant in winter and summer. All rooms have large windows with views of the sea where the garden. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. It is large and bright and overlooks a dining room really nice. There are sunny terraces and outdoor spaces at any time of the day.

His name Villaluz is linked to the cult of twilight which dates from the time of phénicians peoples and Tartessians, marvel at the beautiful sunsets and the special light of these coasts.

Sanlúcar enjoys an exceptional climate throughout the year, with more than 3,100 hours of sunshine per year and a temperature between 15 and 25ºC.

August in Sanlucar

Fantastic. The owner made us feel extremely welcome as we arrived late on Saturday evening and throughout our stay. A small problem with the wifi access was immediately rectified. The only downside but it is not enough for me to give this any less stars were the flies / mosquitos. We wanted to sit outside in the evenings but were getting bitten everywhere so if we were not eating out tended to close all doors and windows and put on the zircon. Overall, an extremely comfortable property, close not only to the Sanlucar beach but within a short driving distance you can be on some lovely sandy beaches (Costa Ballena, Chipiona etc) and in the evening you have the advantage of being in Sanlucar and not having to go very var to eat out.

Excellent accommodation and location- recommended

the house was spacious well equipped and very relaxing and contibuted greatly to the enjoyment of our holiday. The owners who live next door were delightful and very helpful. We were a three generation family and everyone loved Sanlucar -plenty to do lovely beach and excellent bars and restaurants. We also made use of the bicycles at the house which was an added bonus. Would love to go back.

Casa espléndida y muy bien situada en un lugar único ,como es la desembocadura del Guadalquivir

Llena de luz y con estancias muy acogedoras.La habitación situada arriba es un sueño y también la casa tiene buena biblioteca para leer algunos libros excelentes.

La dueña es fantástica,llena de optimismo y alegría;te informa de los mejores sitios para visitar y tomar "cositas buenas".Te obsequia con una mermelada de naranja hecha al estilo inglés,exquisita.

Los paseos por la mañana son muy reconfortantes y es usual ver jinetes a caballo....

Merece mucho la pena ir a Sanlúcar y sobretodo alojarse en Villaluz.

Nosotros ya tenemos ganas de volver

Nous étions 4 couples, la maison est trés grande, l'acceuil est parfait et tout est propre.

Trois terrasses entourant la maison permette de ce mettre a l'abri du soleil quelque soit le moment de la journée. Le coucher de soleil sur le toit terrasse est exceptionnel.

Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Villaluz is located at the mouth of the Guadalquivir River to the Atlantic Ocean and facing the Doñana Park (World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO). Next to the house is the old port linking Spain with the Americas and from which went Magallanes and Elcano in 1519 for the first round of the world. Today is a port used for traditional fishing.

Sanlucar is 25 minutes from the international airport of Jerez de la Frontera.

The range of 'Piletas' front of the house every summer since 1860 the famous international horse racing 'Carreras de Caballos de Sanlúcar'.

The old Sanlúcar de Barrameda neighborhood offers a rich historical and architectural heritage because of its trade with the Americas. The Barrio Alto '(Upper Town) is crowned by the Castle of Santiago, the palaces of the nobility, merchants and wine cellars.
