We (10 total) all think this was the most wonderful place to vacation. The beach, the pool, the sandbar, even the people on the beach we met were all so great. In fact, I can't think of a nicer thing to do with your blessings than share it with others. Thank you. I hope we get to return to this awesome place next September. The beds were great. The towels, dishes, utensils were ample, handy and clean. We came, relaxed and enjoyed because you had provided us a week of paradise.
We rented this home for family and friends attending our son's graduation from the College of Charleston and we couldn't have been more pleased. The pool table in the living room was a big hit as was the wrap around deck which provided panoramic views of the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans and the like. (The tile in the kitchen should probably be replaced as there were a number of large chips in it). Beds were all very comfortable. We could be together as a group for meals, but the house was spacious enough to get some alone time if needed. The location is great - convenient to downtown Charleston yet at the same time, relatively quiet. There were two small issues (toilet and pool) when we first arrived, but Bob, the property manager was terrific and they were addressed immediately. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat.
My family had the best time at this house while staying on Sullivan's Island! The house itself is exactly what we were looking for and so comfortable. Right on the ocean, the pool, hot tub, awesome deck space..... Could not ask for a better place to enjoy sunsets while sitting on the deck. Met the owners and they could not have been nicer and more responsive to our few requests. Made the stay all the better.
Stay here! You won't be disappointed. We will be back for sure...
Good things: The location couldn't be better: right on a beautiful beach, on a delightful residential island not far from Charleston. The house is large.
Bad things: The house appears like it was a poorly-maintained fraternity house. Yes, there is a pool table; but none of the cue sticks had a tip. Yes, there is a jacuzzi tub; but the jets don't work & you can't get the stopper out without a tool. There was an uncovered light switch & electric outlet. One of the downstairs shower doors --& therefore that shower--was unusable.
I have rented many vacation homes in this country and abroad. This is the only one that had no food staples. Before doing any cooking, we had to buy salt, pepper, etc., etc.
So, too bad: this property has tremendous potential. Too bad it doesn't come close to living up to it.
This was a fantastic house rental. It brings enjoyment for all ages so a perfect places for a group of friend, family reunion, etc. I would highly recommend it.
This was the perfect vacation home for our family! It was right on the beach so the grandchildren (2, 7 and 9) were in beach heaven. We went crabbing along the rocks and the sand was perfect for building sand castles, shelling, ball games, early morning walks and more. The kitchen had adequate dishes, utensils, etc but you may need to stop at Walmart for extra paper goods... The furniture is dated, but perfect for beach front living, especially with small children running in and out all day. We loved the pool, basketball, volleyball and pool table. There was plenty of parking at the house and we enjoyed eating at the local restaurants. Ocean view was amazing. I miss watching the sunrise over the ocean while enjoying morning coffee on the deck. We hope to go back next year....
We stayed for a week as a get together with old friends and family. The house has a lovely location on the beach, although a sea pool is forming between the house and beach, but it was fun to watch small sea life in it from the deck. The furnishings were casual , beachy, and comfortable, and the pool table was enjoyed by all. The kitchen facilities were adequate with plenty of service and cookware and all all appliances functioned well. Washer and dryer were appreciated. Bedrooms were comfortable, a little night bright during the full moon. Didn't try the jet tub . Everything was clean when we got there. Games, and travel brochures in the hall console were appreciated. We stayed early May and the pool was warm enough to use by the second full day of sun and protected from wind. The pool was in great condition. The upper deck renovation is really nice. The stairs to the beach are rerouted to the side of the house on account of the sea pool. I would recommend a gate on the landing to the lower deck as the step down is treacherous when the lighting is limited at night.
We used a grocer in isle of palms, but there are many along the routes. We enjoyed touring in Charleston, the buggy tour was fun. We did the Sunday morning bird walk at magnolia plantation, it was early and a cool time to see the grounds, however most of the blooming shrubbery were past season already . The birds and alligator were nice to see and learn about- take binoculars and bug spray!
Our group prepared most meals in, but when we did eat out the locale fare was delicious!
