The property is very close to the most protected sandy beach of Patmos. It is built within spacious property of 9000 sq.m . The house is newly built by a famous Greek architect using stone from the the island. This year we are happy to announce that a swimming pool is under construction and will be ready in April 2016.
There are two separate buildings within the plot.
The main building which you see here is in two levels with very spacious outdoor dining and sitting areas and has an entrance in each level. The two levels are completely independent and do not have internal access.
On the upper level there is a very big terrace with a pergola and a teak dinning table that sits 8-10 persons.
Also, there is a sitting area with a sofa , a small coffee table and some lounge chairs. The orientation is such that you can enjoy the outdoor every hour of the day.
Inside, there is a spacious living area with a kitchen, fully equipped, and a dining table for five people. Next to the living room, is the master bedroom which is around 25 sqm and has an en-suite bathroom (shower only ).
All these rooms have access to the terrace around the building.
The lower level is like a large studio with a sitting area with a sofa bed and a tv and dvd player and two single beds. There is room for an extra bed or baby crib in this room Here, we also have a en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The second building consists of 2 identical in size independent bedrooms with their own bathrooms. They share a big veranda with a pergola and an outside kitchennette.
Also, as you enter the property there is a parking area for four cars.
Patmos is our favorite place in the world and we decided to build a house there to enjoy our holidays with our family. Our dream came true in 2009 and every year we try to add something more to make it beautiful. We hope you can come and enjoy it too!
Haris Saravelou purchased this house in 2009
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The house is beautiful, decorated in great taste and in a very convenient location - quiet and with amazing views yet only a couple of minutes from Patmos' most popular beach. The owner was extremely helpful, checked in on us regularly to make sure we had all we needed.
Amazing view, perfect taste, everything is perfect. Feeling at home in a secluded and quiet environment.
Perfect for a group of friends and/or kids. Wonderful beaches at very shirt distance, great restaurants.
The house is located just 500 meters of the small village of kampos. There you can find a small taverna (restaurant), a bar, a church were many local weddings take place, and a playground. The closest beach is Kampos ( walking distance) which is considered one of the best, it is well organized with a snack bar ( wi-fi), a restaurant and water sports. Also, there are many beaches within a 10 min. drive and restaurants.
The main town is named Skala, it is the port of the island, and there one can find ATM machines, a post office, two banks, a supermarket, a grocery store,a fishmonger e.t.c
Should you be interested, the island has a heliport.
The house is situated on a secluded landscape with a fascinating view of the beach and of a mountain. Also, it is well protected from the northern winds due to the landscape.
Boat hiring, car hiring and motorbike hiring can be arranged, provided the guests fulfill the legal obligations. Especially for car hiring, early arrangements are recommended.
The island is famous for the monastery of Apocalypse, built around the cave where John the evangelist envisioned the book of Apocalypse. The monastery of Patmos is a thousand years old, and its museum and library are considered to be among the best of its kind in Greece.
