Xavier House is an affordable vacation home located in Melbourne, Florida. Xavier House is a clean, well maintained, tastefully decorated 3 bedroom/2 bath home in a quiet residential lakefront community. Enjoy the great view of the lake on a peaceful evening or enjoy the nice warm beach within only 15 minutes driving distance.
Bedrooms: The Split plan 3 bedroom and 2 bath accommodates up to six guests.
‘Jaune Room’: This is the master bedroom equipped with a queen bed, a cozy reading area, 32' LCD TV, Stereo, full bath room with shower, large bath tub and a great view of the lake.
‘Fah Room’: Equipped with a queen bed with radio and CD player.
‘Verde Room’: Equipped with bunk bed, TV, and toys for the kids to enjoy their time by themselves.
Kitchen and Dining: The modern kitchen is fully equipped, providing you the opportunity to cook meals on-site, rather than having to spend lots of money going out for all of your meals. The dining area seats four and the table can be pulled out to comfortably seat 6. Extra chairs are available in the kitchen.
Living Area: Offering a FULL VIEW of the lake out back, large comfy leather sofas and 46” Flat Screen HDTV with Cable TV, DVD Player and VCR provide all the entertainment options you may desire.
High Speed Wireless Internet and Cable TV are included.
Xavier also has a full sized washer and dryer located in the laundry area – we provide all of the comforts of home! Why settle for just a hotel or a 'bed and breakfast inn'?
We had a very relaxing and comfortable visit. Everything was very well organized, maintain and especially "Thought of". Thanks for your co-operation and quick response for a few questions and minor problems. We'll definitely come and stay here again.
Comfortably appointed home in a really nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the view of the water. It is a nice place to relax.
The home was clean. Every thing was great like what you see in the pictures. Rudy was very helpful and answer our questions very fast.
property was well maintained, new carpet installed. Property owner very helpful. I would definitely will rent home again on my next visit to Melbourne. I recommend the property for small family. Thai Thai restaurant on palm bay road offers best sushi in town, don't miss that.
Let's start with the good. The location of this house is great. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants and the beach. The neighborhood is very nice and the house backs up to a pond with numerous water birds, turtles etc. It was nice to sit out on the little patio and enjoy nature. We were staying for 2 months. Now for the bad.....there is little to no maintenance done on this home. Now I will preface this by saying that when you arrive there is a book on the counter that goes over some rules, expectations of the house and the community. The owner asks that you look everything over and if there are any issues to contact him within the first 24 hours. So, on we go. The entry way is overgrown and there is mold growing on the sidewalk and outside walls. When you walk in the front door the first thing you see is the stained, nasty carpeting that is in the dining room, living room and all the bedrooms. I'm not sure why someone would have carpeting in the main traffic areas of a rental house (especially one that allows pets) but it was bad. Our daughter, son-in-law and 15 month old granddaughter were coming to visit for a few days shortly after we arrived and there was no way I wanted her crawling around on that carpet, so per the request I sent an email to the owner telling him that the carpet was unacceptable and we wanted it cleaned - I'll get back to that. That first evening we went to shut the vertical blinds on the sliding door and 6 or 7 of the slats just fell out! Now we have a gaping hole into the living room. Not much we can do about it at that point but I sent another email to the owner regarding that problem. I won't go through all of the gory details but in short we NEVER heard back from the owner. I emailed again but nothing. We ended up going and renting a steam cleaner to clean the carpets, we went to Lowe's and purchased replacement slats for the blinds. We had to buy dish cloths as there wasn't a single one in the house. The vacuum cleaner was clogged and disgusting. My husband cleaned it out and had to buy a new belt. I could go on , but why. You get the picture, it was a hot mess. On the bright side we were out of the Illinois winter but I would not recommend this house until and unless some major maintenance is completed.

This house is in a great location, is spacious, and allowed us to bring our 65-pound dog with us--a very hard-to-find combination! The owner was most gracious and communicated quickly and clearly with us. Overall we enjoyed our stay, especially the beautiful neighborhood to go walking in, its proximity to the beach (about a 20 minute drive), and the wonderful view of the lake from the living room. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The master bath was fit for a king (and queen)! There's also lots of shopping nearby (Publix, Target, department stores, etc.). That said, while the rooms were clean, the wall-to-wall carpeting was VERY stained, the bathroom throw rugs needed washing, many of the towels were stained, and we had to clean shelves in the kitchen and run dishes through the dishwasher before we could cook. There are also a number of things that need attention: the light in the master bedroom walk-in closet doesn't work, the front outside light doesn't work, and there was no filter in the AC/furnace. The "back yard" is actually a small strip of grass with an old bench and a mini-grill. We also had ant invasions on 3 separate occasions, but they were contained using the Raid spray supplied. (Hey, it's Florida!) Bottom line, it's a great condo but it seems like maintenance isn't being managed well. Despite these issues, we had a lovely stay there!
There are many exciting attractions in the city including Brevard Zoo, Treetop Trek, Camp Holly Fishing & Airboats, Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area, Florida Beer Company, Space Coast Stadium, ‘At the Helm’ Sailing Charters, Duran Golf Club, Brevard Art Museum, and many more.
We are within driving distance of many world famous cities including 1 hour 15 minute drive to Orlando, the home of many world famous parks (Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studio, and many more); 1 hour 15 minute drive to Daytona Beach, the home of NASCAR and the Grand American Road Racing Association; only 2 hours to Saint Augustine, America’s oldest city; and just 3 hours to the world famous South Beach in Miami.
