The Cottage at Ripsley has a private gate that opens directly onto the South Downs. We're situated in a specially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty yet only a one hour train journey away from London.
On the border of Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey, The Cottage at Ripsley is well placed for beach and city visits: historic market towns of Chichester, Portsmouth, Southhampton, Guildford and Winchester are close by while Goodwood ( Festival of Speed, 'Glorious Goodwood', Cowdray Park ( for polo and you can even have a go at it at the Academy), Petworth (great for antiques and well known for Petworth House - where Turner uses to visit regularly), Arundel and Arundel castle, the Witterings (National Trust beaches), Bosham (lovely seaside sailing village) and Frensham Ponds for sailing are within easy reach. Liphook train station ( 3 min drive from the cottage) takes you to Waterloo in an hour, Clapham Junction in 50mins.
There are some lovely cycle paths and walking trails on your doorstep as well as some great local pubs. Ripsley is a place to get away from it all but also within easy reach of some great places to visit for children and adults. Perfect for cycling enthusiasts , walkers, couples and families and a good base for visitors to the attractions and sites of the South East of England.
