About Coco Browning

This is our family flat in the UK. We spend most of the year in the South of France, but use the flat while either we or our children and families are in London.

Coco Browning purchased this apartment in 1990

Why Coco Browning chose Wimbledon

We bought this property because it was the most convenient one to come to while we were away in Hong Kong and our children at boarding school in the UK. Easy access to Central London, to both main London airports and to visit friends and family and place of interest around the country.

What makes this apartment unique

It is not very easy to find an spacious, bright three bedroom flat with two bathrooms within easy access to Central London and the country. The most important thing in my view is that the bedrooms are large - cannot cope with poky bedrooms!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Coco,

The apartment is absolutely lovely in every aspect. We really felt at home. You have kitted it out with everything one might require that ensures a comfortable stay. The location is also absolutely perfect.

Coco.....perhaps you can use the above sentence as a review. I tried to navigate the website to log a review but did not succeed.

Wimbledon charm and convenience

  • 5 of 5

In London for a family wedding, and we were looking for accomodations near to family and in good location for some touring around.

David and Coco's flat was absolutely perfect! The location was great and you could either walk into Wimbledon Village (10 minutes) or jump on the bus (stop was within 1 minute walking from flat).

The flat contained everything one could need or hope for when travelling. We were pleasantly surprised to find it much larger than we expected (there were 5 of us; one couple and one mother w/2 daughters) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

There is a new co-op about 5 minutes walk for groceries et al. Lots of choices in the Village for eating/shopping.

All in all - we loved our stay (one week). We will definitely try to stay here again if (when!) we return to London. It exceeded our expections.

Thank you Coco for everything.

Excellent flat in Wimbledon

  • 5 of 5

We spent three weeks in this wonderful flat.

We loved it ! Clean, tidy and exactly like photos, the flat provides everything you need and more.

The apartment is very spacious and very well equipped, having a full set of kitchen tools . Whatever you need is there, you feel like home.

Bus stop just across the street, you can be in Wimbledon Centre very quickly, then Waterloo Station can be reached in about 15 minutes.

Owners Coco and David were fantastic in communication and very helpful with us.

We are planning to come back here again next summer and we would definitively recommend this place to families.

Thanks Coco and David and see you soon !

Welcome to Wimbledon Village where city meets country.

The Village has a rural feel sited on the edge Wimbledon Common; the blend of chic shops, cafes and bars set amongst handsome period buildings and open spaces make Wimbledon Village unique in London. There are riding stables nearby which add to the country flavour.

If you need pampering, retail therapy at independently run boutiques, or all things culinary you will not be disappointed. You can relax in beauty shops and salons. If you are interested in Shopping & Attractions you can admire haute couture, jewellery, books, fine art and antiques.

Take advantage of the open spaces by exploring the Common on foot or on horseback, and after the exercise take a picnic in Cannizaro Park or refresh yourself at one of the local pubs by the common: The Crocked Billet, The Hand in Hand or The Fox and Grapes.

Visit Wimbledon Museum and Southside House for local history or the Museum of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Over the years several well-known tennis stars have stayed in this flat for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships - the courts are within a 30 minute walk.

There is something for everyone in Wimbledon Village. Those of us who work or live here appreciate what a special place this is.
