Villa Antorea is the only holiday villa in Puglia we continue to come back to year after year. Bettina is an amazing host and superb property manager. From her wonderful welcome pack bursting with fresh local produce, beautiful villa gardens and attention to detail of the villa facilities. It is always a pleasure for our family to come back to Villa Antorea
We had two amazing weeks in this beautiful property with our parents and children. The location is fantastic, an easy drive 10-minute drive to Martina Franca, Cisternino and Ostuni as well as quick access to Matera, Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli. The house is very well appointed with everything you could need. The outdoor area is fabulous with plenty of areas to relax and a terrific large dining table in the shade. Our host Bettina was extremely helpful, responding to any queries very quickly. The welcome pack was very generous too! We would highly recommend Villa Antorea.
My wife and I (and dog) are on an extended tour of Italy and very much wanted to visit Puglia, a regionwe have been hearing a lot about recently, but had no knowledge of. We could only spend 1 week there and were very pleased to have selected Villa Antorea for our stay. Bettina, the manger and designer, has created a beautiful oasis. She met us with an amazing welcome package of foods and was very helpful to us during our week. From the Villa, we toured west to east, north and also south to Galloli, which we enjoyed very much. The area is still very undiscovered by the hoards of tourists that descend on other areas. The fresh sea food is superb and we went to a Michelin reviewed restraurant every day and tried to discover new ones on our own. Puglia is an area to explore and we did a lot of exploring in our week. The design of the villa is perfect and, although the weather was a bit cool and rainy, we loved being outside as much as possible. The gardens and outdoor seating areas are fantastic. Overall, it is a 10. Thank you Bettina.
This truly was the greatest and most authentic places I have ever visited in this world. The location is prime, you have many towns and cities to visit... we visited a new city every day, and walked around for hours. You're eyes just can't believe what these cities have to offer. Cisternino being our favourite town, from the people to the food, it is just the most warming and friendly place to be.
The villa itself is beautiful, stunningly decorated and makes you feel like you're in paradise. It's extremely private, and it gives you an unforgettable sense of Italy.
Bettina was the most hospitable and kind person, she made us enjoy our visit that little bit more. It was a treat to be in her company.
Good luck with your booking, as I will be occupying this place as much as I can over the next few years!
As the photos show, Villa Antorea is beautifully furnished and equipped. The outside areas are extremely spacious, comfortable and most importantly, have plenty of well shaded areas which is essential if you have young children, as the summer months can be extremely hot. The plantings surrounding the house and pool area are fabulous, and we picked the most delicious figs this summer. There are many good beaches a short distance away, the sea on both coasts is wonderful, as well as excellent restaurants, and picturesque towns to visit - if you can bring yourself to leave the relaxing surroundings of the villa and pool. Bettina is most helpful and has plenty of recommendations for restaurants and suchlike should you need them, and together with Massimo who helps look after the property, provides a terrifically warm welcome. The welcome pack on arrival -particularly useful should you arrive late in the day, includes delicious locally pressed olive oil and homemade tomato sauce, a real treat. This is the ideal villa if you are looking to get away from it all, or as a base to explore Puglia - we very much enjoyed a trip to Gallipoli. A car is essential, and sat nav very useful, as yet we have been unable to find an adequate map of the area. We would highly recommend Villa Antorea, and look forward to returning ourselves next year.
My friends and I spent so great holidays. The villa is really nice and so pleasant to live. The area is very beautiful and this villa is a really great place for spending peaceful moments.
The Villa is situated to the south east of Cisternino and north west of Ostuni. This region of Southern Italy is known as the 'High plains of the Murge'. As you leave the coast road and come inland you start to climb up in to the High plains (which is approx 400m above sea level). Once at the top you will find all the towns perched on top of the hills white washed and very beautiful.
