Large town house, central location. Wonderful open views across river.
Our spacious town house, 19 Rue de la Republique, in Le Bugue has a large sunny terrace overlooking river Vézère. is furnished to a high standard, very well appointed and sleeps 6 people comfortably with three big bedrooms and two large bathrooms. On the ground floor is the entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen and W.C. The large dining area leads into a light and airy salon, where there is a television, DVD and radio/CD player. From here, French windows lead on to the south facing terrace overlooking the river Vézère, so you have wonderful clear light for the long summer days. There is an electric blind which gives shade for those who do not like to sit in direct sunlight. All the windows have shutters which keeps the house cool along with air conditioning. You can step out of the front door onto the old high street and the pretty town of Le Bugue is at your disposal. Free parking is available. Free Wi-fi internet connected.

A well presented apartment in Le Bugue.
We all had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of France, right on the River Verzere. Plenty big enough for the five of us. Owners are extremely helpful and accommodating. Very clean and catered for all of our needs. Loved sitting on the balcony in the evenings overlooking the river.
Beautifully renovated townhouse overlooking the River Vezere.
Superbly placed in the village of Le Bugue which has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Excellent house with a very spacious patio overlooking a bend in the river.
Intermarche within walking distance as are a butcher and at least 3 boulangeries/patisseries.
Parking free and easy.
Mike and Toni gave us a very warm welcome on arrival and even provided us with a meal late Saturday night which was very much appreciated. All in all 5 Stars.

The Lovely Dordogne
4 of us had a brilliant week in this wonderful part of France. We stayed at Chez Dix Neuf in the market town of Le Bugue and it had everything we had hoped for. It is comfortable and well equipped - with wine, cheese, milk and butter in the fridge when we arrived! The house was extremely clean and tidy and the bathrooms pristine. The kitchen is well stocked with china, glasses and cooking vessels, which, along with the wonderful array of food and drink on offer in the town allowed us to indulge ourselves in lovely long meals on the terrace.
Chez Dix Neuf is well sited for exploring the local area - we hired a car for the duration and found some wonderful places to visit, too many to list and too many still to see!!

A real French experience.
This wonderfully maintained home was recommended to us by friends. The glowing praise for the location, the amenities and the owners was all well deserved.
Four of us had no car, but absolutely did not need one, withplenty of walking to work up a thirst and an appetite. Restaurants, markets and shops are all only minutes away. Mike and Toni picked us up from the train station and dropped us back there when we left.
We loved the opportunity to shop like locals, eat and drink like locals and to come away feeling that we had some real understanding of the locals. The experience will live in our memories, and we will spread the word about this hidden gem until exponential growth will require Mike and Toni to invest in more properties just like this one.
We were slightly concerned that being in Le Bugue without a car might limit you, but we are pleased you made the most of being in town and really enjoyed your stay with us. All the bars and restaurants were sad to see you leave, as were we.... It was great to meet you all. Mike .
Our lovely week at Chez Dix-Neuf
From the moment we arrived at Chez Dix-Neuf it felt right, open airy, with fantastic views over the river. Accommodation was spacious & comfortable with the owners Toni & Mike having achieved a high standard of refurbishment throughout. The kitchen had all the equipment you could possibly need. The location itself was perfect. Just a short walk to the town centre with its bustling markets, cafes & restaurants. "Our" House in France
There are thousands of pretty gites with swimming pools scattered around the countryside of Périgord. But my wife and I wanted a house in a village. We wanted to be able to walk to restaurants & have the normal conveniences close at hand. Le Bugue is just the place with a dozen restaurants, several bakeries and the Vézère River. Wow! And in Le Bugue is the wonderful gite, Chez Dix-Neuf. I stayed there first in 2012, We returned to Le Bugue in 2013, but Chez Dix-Neuf was already booked. The replacement we found was unsatisfactory, so we made reservations well in advance when we returned to Chez Dix-Neuf in 2015.
We shared the house this past September with two other couples and they loved the house too. The deck is wonderful. Virtually every evening we ate outside and then sat out after dinner watching the sun set over the river, swans flying past, listen to the competing bells of the church and the mairie. We are already planning our next trip.
The house itself is as described in the literature on VRBO. Kitchen is new and had everything we needed. Having three bathrooms was very convenient. WiFi was fast. A large library of light reading, and DVDs. TV seemed modern and well connected to UK channels, but we never turned it on.

The thriving old market town of Le Bugue, with it's historic lanes and buildings, creates an interesting ambiance. The bustling Tuesday market provides the holidaymaker with all the sights and smells one associates with life in France, and is just two minutes walk from the house. There are all amenities including butchers, banks, restaurants, pharmacies and bakers. Within the town there is Village de Bournat, (a living museum of bygone days) the Aquarium du Périgord Noir, and several interesting caves and underground caverns to visit. Nearby is the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat and the famous Lascaux cave drawings at Montignac. Les Eyzies is only 15 minutes drive away, and there are a wealth of pretty Bastide towns in the area. The Dordogne and Vézère valleys provide some stunning views and scenery with wonderful walking and cycling trails. The area allows you to do a lot or absolutely nothing!
Other Activities: Canoeing, caves, chateaux and vineyards hot air ballooning, walking,cycling, good food and good wine.

The house is let from Saturday to Saturday There is a returnable security/breakages deposit of £150 / € 200, payable with the balance. Please note: The house is not normally available from early November until mid-March.
