About this property

Just two blocks from Downtown Bozeman, the Dahlia House is a tucked away retreat

The Dahlia house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom (with brand new beautiful shower!), a warm living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and is fully equipped with a modern kitchen, and a fully fenced yard. Garage parking is included, street parking too.

The Dahlia House is managed by Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals, a small homegrown Bozeman company with over 20 years of experience. For more reviews and information, including a self-guided 3D walkthrough, search the name of the house plus the words Bozeman Cottage.

Just two blocks from main street in downtown Bozeman, the Dahlia House is tucked away on Church Avenue, a quiet, tree-lined street in one of Bozeman’s oldest neighborhoods. Built in 1904, this historic home retains its vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, hardwood floors, and antique finishings, while offering modern qualities such as grid-tied solar panels and core bonded insulation keeping it cool in the summer and cozy in winter. It also has a great wood-burning fireplace!

The owner of the Dahlia House operates a small organic permaculture farm just north of town. This provides seasonal opportunities to have fresh flowers or vegetables delivered during your stay from about June through September.

The Dahlia house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, a warm living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, and is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and solar electricity! The main bedroom has a dreamy king size bed. The second bedroom, with full-size futon bed and another full-size bed, is accessed through the main bedroom, perfect for children or infants.

The living room has a sofa, large windows with wonderful light, working fireplace, hardwood floors and steel bar. Open to the living room, our sunny kitchen features concrete countertops, a modern gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and stainless steel cookware. The back door leads directly onto the large wooden deck, garage, and fully fenced yard which makes for a perfect place to relax, eat meals, and hang out after a day exploring downtown or the mountains. There is a gas bbq grill and a fire pit for your use.

Other amenities at the Dahlia House include a front porch, on-demand hot water heater that never runs out, washer, dryer, pantry, fast wifi, and oversized garage with electric car charger (240v level 2 Nema-14-50 outlet) for parking and gear storage.

When you’re ready to venture out, the pubs, eateries, and shops of downtown Bozeman are just around the corner. Montana State University is a five minute bike or drive or thirty minute walk away. (You’re welcome to borrow our bikes, Bozeman is a wonderful town to see on two wheels.) Our houseguests love the convenience of our location, and are also surprised at how quiet the neighborhood is, especially at night. Enjoy our peaceful and private backyard. If you’re looking for outdoor adventure and breathtaking scenery, Bridger Canyon is ten miles north of the Dahlia House, offering beautiful hikes, famous wildflowers, and our local ski resort, Bridger Bowl.

As with all Bozeman Cottage vacation rentals, the Dahlia House is fully equipped with a drip style coffee maker, coffee grinder, a starter pack of fresh, local coffee, linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, dry goods (flour, sugar, etc), EO brand non-toxic body products, and comes with organic coffee & grinder. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails, rafting links to restaurant coupons. We believe in local economies and know the best places!

Lovely Town Cottage!
Loved this cottage and the location. It’s so convenient. The linens are great, the kitchen has what it needs to cook, the fireplace is awesome, I was very comfortable as were my two adult children for the days they visited. Loved walking to Peets Hill, Wild Crumb and to town and getting to Bridger, MSU and Sourdough Trails sooo easy! The garage is so convenient, esp in February! Paul is a great manager, very responsive, friendly, and helpful. I would love to come back!

Church Street vrbo
Comfortable, cozy cottage within a few blocks of Downtown. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Wood burning fireplace was great in the evening. Nice kitchen and cast iron skillets. Also used gas grill for steaks. Bed very comfortable and shower good pressure and hot. Only suggestions would be to update and upgrade the TV and service—Roku and live Tv frustrating! And substitute a smaller table top for the big dining table and have a comfortable chair in front of the fireplace👍 We liked the washer/dryer too!! Thanks Paul, Jim and Beth.

We enjoyed our stay at Dahlia House very much. Paul and his staff are great to work with and very responsive. The house was very clean and well supplied as well as nicely furnished. The kitchen was great! We loved the nice deck and private back yard with picnic table and some shade. We'd gladly stay here again.

Convenient and fun stay!
We loved the location and ease of being able to walk instead of drive downtown! Walking distance to farmers market, grocery, restaurants and anything downtown. Cute house and enjoyed the deck for coffee and a drink in the evening. Would definitely stay there again!!

I work in medicine but also own a permaculture educational farm just north of Bozeman.

Why they chose this property

I like to be able to walk out the door and sit by Bridger Creek, along the trails that border this subdivision. Plus I can ride my bike to town or to the local swimming beach. I don't golf but there is a great course right across the street.

I was able to buy this townhouse and finish it just how I have always wanted. It's built to last and equipped with top of the line appliances and furnishings. It has radiant floor heat which is the only way to go in Montana winters, plus it is well insulated and has high ceilings with great light.

What makes this property unique

Sustainable super-insulated home with solar electricity and electric car charger! Free, fast WiFi for remote learning/working needs. Keyless self check-in.
