The excellent 'Cafe du Port' on the banks of the canal is run by an English couple that have lived in Paraza for many years serving local food prepared expertly by the chef who has many years of experience from around the world. They serve excellent local wine, very cheap if you order the carafe, and it is an excellent spot for lunch in the summer sitting outside watching the boats sail by. In high season they are open for lunch and dinner but you would need to check for times & booking is advisable.
From this year the beautiful Chateau du Paraza is open for wine tasting and also tours of the chateau.
There is also an excellent new shop selling all essentials with tables outside for a drink and snack or an ice cream, they also cook chickens on a rotisserie at weekends. Fresh bread & croissants delivered every day and excellent selection of patisseries too.
We have the excellent 'Melo Velos' bike hire company owned by Vince & Sandra in the village with every sort of bike you could wish for, road, mountain and even electric to hire by the day or week with some wonderful quiet routes for you to try.

The second is just over the bridge and has tables overlooking the canal and indoor dining for out of season, this is also a small supermarket and serves takeaway pizza's too.
The village of Ventenac on the other side of Paraza also has two restaurants and a chateau with a wine cave for tasting and a small museum with the history of the wine production.
