This gorgeous, comfortable, quiet home away from home will have you wishing it was your new home in Los Angeles. We call it our canyon beach house; light filled and modern, yet cozy with a simple, warm color palette interspersed with bursts of color from the vibrant bougainvillea to the jewel colored accents throughout. Close to the beach and the city with easy freeway access to get you from downtown to Disneyland. Turquoise glass tiled swimming pool, jacuzzi under the stars, outdoor fire pit, al fresco dining for 10, beautiful hardwood floors, lush garden, and all the amenities one would need to feel pampered and immediately at home. A private, relaxing haven located just off of Topanga Canyon in a safe, pretty neighborhood dotted with pepper and eucalyptus trees, south of Ventura Boulevard. This charming home offers all you could want for your Los Angeles vacation: a beautiful, fully outfitted home with pool and spa that is 15 minutes from the beach and offers the serenity of Topanga Canyon while being within walking distance to shops, restaurants and amenities. Our location gives you the perfect blend of tranquility and urban convenience.

Light filled, with a clean visual aesthetic and a great vibe, the home has an open floor plan all on one level featuring hardwood floors and quality finishes such as travertine, marble & granite throughout; wood windows, recessed lighting with dimmers, lush landscaping with fruit trees, bougainvillea, flowering succulents and herbs; two pool side seating areas, fire pit and completely enclosed garden with a great flow between indoor and outdoor space, which at night transforms into your own private fairy garden with pool and garden lighting designed by a landscape architect. The living room features a wood burning fireplace and opens to a family room with cozy sofa seating and a 46' TV with Blue Ray player. French doors open up to a covered poolside dining area perfect for alfresco dining and entertaining. For the inspired chef, the large kitchen is fully equipped and features a Sub-Zero fridge and a 6 burner, double oven American Crown gas range as well as an abundance of kitchen gadgets, crockery, flatware and stemware. The master bedroom opens to the pool/garden area and features a California king bed, a daybed, vaulted ceilings, 46' flat screen TV, walk in closet and full ensuite with soaker tub & shower. The two additional bedrooms have queen sized beds, lots of closet space, all with super comfortable mattresses. All the bedrooms are equipped with down duvets and pillows and high thread count luxury sheets and linens. The second bathroom features a jetted tub and a separate shower. All the bathrooms are newly remodeled with copper plumbing, Koehler fixtures and are finished in granite, travertine and tumbled marble and feature luxurious all-white towels and linens. The home features Extreme speed WIFI throughout the home and outdoor spaces, premium cable vision on the three 46" screens and free North America wide telephone calls.

LA Haven is a great place from which to explore the best of what LA has to offer. Enjoy the serenity of nature in Topanga Canyon, surf the waves or explore the many beaches of Malibu's coast line, take a tour of world class vineyards or opt for the more urban pleasures of Westfield Topanga Mall, with its state-of-the-art AMC 16 movie theater, or stroll to the many nearby shops, restaurants and cafes. There are many fabulous restaurants close by catering to every palette; check out the multitude of eating experiences offered at the brand new Village at Topanga or enjoy local, organic fare at the Farmers Market in Old Town Calabasas or dine next to the charming turtle pond at the Calabasas Commons. In the summer the neighborhood offers free outdoor movies and concerts in the park on Saturday and Sunday evenings as well as a fabulous July 4th Fireworks extravaganza. Take the 101 south to Beverly Hills, West LA, Sunset Strip (30 min), LAX Airport (40 minutes), Hollywood (30 minutes), Universal Studios and Burbank (20 minutes), Disneyland (60 minutes) or north to Calabasas (5 Minutes), Malibu Canyon Wine Country (15 minutes) or Santa Barbara (80 minutes). Or drive through beautiful Topanga Canyon & Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu (15 minutes), Santa Monica and Venice (30 minutes) this is also the scenic route to the airport and takes the same amount of time but you are treated to the rugged beauty of Topanga and the stunning coastline of the Pacific Coast. Shopping for groceries is easy and convenient with Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Gelson's less than one mile away. There is also a public library and post office within walking distance. We also offer additional services which can be arranged through our Property Manager, Angelique, for an additional fee. Angelique is an organic chef who can provide personally cooked and catered farm to table meals should you choose. She also offers private concierge services and tours of Los Angeles, Malibu and Wine Country and is a certified yoga/meditation teacher. Angelique is an LA native who has traveled the world and offers an insider’s knowledge of the must see and do in Southern California.

Comfortable convenient home

We very much enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable, convenient home over the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and we were even able to make a real Thanksgiving feast. Angelique took pains to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Celebrating the Birth of Our First Granddaughter!

What a perfect home to gather with our children who all live in California & meet our first granddaughter who was born 10/30! Right from the start our host Angelique answered all our questions & responded to any of our emails within 10-15 minutes. The bedrooms, beds, bathrooms were all clean , comfy & private. Tons of Linens & towels were perfect! Kitchen was awesome, fully stocked which allowed us to cook meals with the family. The patio/pool area was perfect for BBQing ,relaxing & hanging out. Shopping stores & restaurants were minutes away!

Angelique was adorable & went out of her way to make sure we had everything to make our time there enjoyable. We will be back....couldn't asked for a better home away from home to visit our children!

Great base for exploring LA

An excellent, well equipped house in a nice location with good local amenities. Pool area was particularly lovely with a great pool and extensive seating. Angelique our host was great and really helpful.

Beautiful house in a great location!

This is a cool,spacious house with a beautiful patio and garden- even better than the photos!

Unlike some rental properties, LA Haven is really well equipped with everything you would have at home and more ( beach towels, cool box and deckchairs which you can take for a day at the beach are a real bonus).

The house is in a safe suburban area with good supermarkets nearby- you can even walk to the Ralph's which is a real bonus in the land of the car! I didn't make it to the local yoga studio but this is also walkable as are various cafes and takeaways. We mostly ate in - what could be better than eating al fresco on your private patio whilst watching the hummingbirds ?

You have easy access to the freeway for all the sights of the city but you can also skip the jams by cruising through Topanga canyon to the sandy beaches from Malibu to Santa Monica.

Angelique was extremely responsive both during the booking process and throughout our stay. She really wants guests to have a fabulous time and it was great to go at the weekend to the Sunset bar on Zuma beach where she DJs. Thank you- we d love to come again some day and in the meantime we ll certainly be recommending this place to all our friends!

Great house, great location, great host! Five star holiday. We would thoroughly recommend renting this property. Angelique was an amazing host and was the difference between making a "good holiday" into a "great holiday". Will definitely return and rent this property again.

Close to the beach and LA

My family of 6 from Austin enjoyed our stay in this home. Angelique was a good on-site concierge and was available to help with whatever we needed. The pool was relaxing and we were able to walk to the town's 4th of July fireworks show. There were beach chairs and umbrellas to help us enjoy our visits to the beach. The grocery store and a few eating places were also in walking distance.
