Wonderful place, and a wonderful host!

  • 5 of 5

Fergal was a wonderful host. The house is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. Close to downtown but yet far enough away from all the mischief. I would highly recommend this place.

Spacious and comfortable for our big group

  • 5 of 5

House proved perfect for our large family gathering - very comfortable well set up bedrooms and bathrooms and spacious downstairs area. We enjoyed the BBQ and the big open plan kitchen couldn't have been better for us.

We walked (30 mins. approx) to the bars / restaurants / music area near Quay St. Lively bars and good traditional music - a lot of visitors there of course. Enjoyed a great evening in Athenry - Dowling's Pub - great music, all the locals, and very lively on Saturday night. Wonderful beer garden - definitely worth a visit. The drive into Connemara brought great views - enjoyed looking around Clifden.

Fergal checked on the internet connection for us; wouldn't hurt to bring your map/guidebook just as backup. Very straightforward to reach Fergal, who was there and ready to answer any question - much appreciated.

Thank you!

Open Plan and Spacious

  • 3 of 5

We loved the lay out of the house with plenty of room for our family of 7. Had some trouble with the en-suite shower which stopped working completely on our next to last day. Was disappointed that I did not receive a response to my text message letting owner know about the problem. Fortunately there was plenty of hot water in the main bathroom. The walk to town and Salthill is a bit more than 20 minutes but we managed to do it most days. Would suggest leaving information for guests such as a local map, Taxi Numbers, Bus Schedule, location of local supermarkets, wifi information, garbage pickup schedule, etc.

Overall was satisfied with our stay.

Great place to stay

  • 4 of 5

The house we rented was very nice and included all the amenities stated in the ad. Fergal was very quick to respond to our needs. The house was well situated within short driving distances to shopping and Galway City.

A wonderful few days on the West Coast

  • 4 of 5

This property is handy for a large group. There were six of us staying there, but the house would easily cater for another couple of people.

The open plan kitchen & dining area is airy and spacious. The kitchen has all the usual facilities you need and there is a washing machine and drier in the utility room. The double door leading from the dining room to the living room area opens up the ground floor even more. There are three sofas and the TV has plenty of channels to choose from. The bedrooms are finished to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable. Once we figured out how the immersion worked, the shower in the main bathroom was nice and hot (the en-suite shower is a power shower).

The location was good for us. We had two cars between us so getting in to town wasn't an issue for us. If you don't have a car, taxis in Galway are relatively cheap.

Fergal called up to the house with the wifi dongle and it was great to put a face to the name. He was very friendly and asked if everything was OK for us.

I would recommend this property for a good value, stress-free stay in Galway.

The house is located in the West of the city - very near the Salthill area. It is minutes walk from the famous Galway Bay with it's beautiful views of the Clare hills and, the equally famous, Aran Islands. It really is a perfect base for your holiday whether you're on a short weekend visit to the city with a few friends or, on a family trip looking to soak up the wild west of Ireland.
