This is in Deepwell: a quiet, upscale neighborhood in the south end of palm springs. The benefits of being on the south end of town are mainly avoiding the winds which can really interfere with your outside enjoyment.
Our pool is east-west and gets sun all day-this was another big consideration for us in choosing this house, and you should keep this in mind when looking for a place to stay: the voice of experience!
The house has nice, simple furniture and is very sparse/modern but comfortable. Its true indoor/outdoor. All main rooms in the main house open to the outdoors with sliders and the entire side of the living room opens to a covered area of the courtyard facing the pool. There are grassy as well as paved areas outside, with nice uplighting at night and view of the mountains from the spa. There is a misting system for super hot summer days. The kitchen is well equipped. There is filtered drinking water on tap in both the main house and the guest house (town water isnt so great)
The house is very conveniently located. Palm Springs is pretty small, but this is very central and is about three blocks from the main street and very close to routes to palm desert, golf courses, mountains, tram, etc.

We rented in Palm Springs frequently and fell in love with it-so we decided to get a place of our own!
I work in the fashion industry and Howard is a stay at home dad. We have a young daughter who loves the pool almost as much as we do.
Nathan purchased this house in 2006
The south end of town is quiet, wind free, and offers amazing mountain views in addition to being close to Palm Desert (where you'll find Trader Joe's/Target/etc).
The nicest things about the house are that it's totally private-walled and gated, and you can not see another house from anywhere on the property. It's truly indoor/outdoor-a classic mid-century Palm Springs style with lots of sliders out to the pool area. It also has grass lawn areas (sort of unusual here) and lots of mature tall palms. It's a pretty good example of the best of desert living, and we've furnished it with a mix of contemporary and vintage pieces we've collected over the years, having lived in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle!
The property is exactly as it appears in the photos. It appears to have been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. It was spotless upon arrival. The outdoor area is truly special. The pool, jacuzzi, yard, outdoor dining area, etc. are really lovely. As previously noted, the kitchen is really well stocked (all sizes of pots and pans, tupperware, spatula, manual juicer, etc.).
My family and sister in law's family stayed here over a long weekend in February to watch out niece play in a softball tournament. This place met all our needs. The best part was the layout of the buildings with the pool courtyard in the center surrounded by the main building and casita. This allowed us to watch the children from anywhere on the property. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect the entire weekend.
Location was perfect to all the restaurants and shops. The house was beautifully decorated and clean.
Working with Frank was the absolute best, so accommodating to our schedule. Thanks Frank and Nathan, we made some wonderful memories.
The property works extremely well for 6 people, with the fourth sleeping area attached to a bedroom in the casita, which would be perfect for a family. The layout is great, the pool, hot tub, and firepit, and all the lounges and couches make it a terrific out door space. There is always sun or always shade available for relaxing, and the proximity to E Palm Canyon with shops and restaurants ideal. The rest of the Palm Springs area with its many attractions is a convenient drive away. The property manager was always quickly available to answer questions. We'd return in a heart beat!
I and several friends stayed at Deepwell compound in July for a reunion/golf weekend.
The place was exactly as it was pictured, pool was very well maintained and the rooms were great. Grill was in very good order as well. We had one issue on our 2nd day and when we called the manager he was at the house within 10 minutes to rectify the situation. The owner and manager were extremely professional and very easy to deal with. Would definitely stay there again!
My husband and I rented the house for the month of April. We had a steady flow of family visit us, including two three month old grandsons. The backyard was perfect for having outdoor meals, cooling off in the pool and relaxing on the hammock. The third and fourth bedrooms are nicely situated in a casita which allows for some privacy.
Having new babies around, we spent every meal at the house. The full kitchen was more than adequately equipped.
Pack and play, bouncy chair, stroller etc. were made available which alleviated from bringing our own.
Beautiful neighbourhood to walk through and for the adventurous, there's the hill climb at the end of street. Easy walk into town and grocery stores close by.
Frank, the property manager, responded to our questions immediately and was very easy to deal with.
Our family and friends had a nice two weeks in this home. Frank, the property manager, did an outstanding job of taking care of our needs, which were minor. The home was a fun and inviting place to stay, with the outside amenities being perfect. We loved the pool, hot tub, and the outside fire pit.
My husband and I stayed here for three weeks with our dogs and it was perfect! We needed a place that we could work from and this worked out great. The wireless internet signal was good and there is a desk in the master bedroom. However, we found it much more fun to do as much of our work poolside as possible. The yard and pool/hot tub are fantastic. It was like having our own private resort. There are nice shady grass areas (which were great for the dogs) and the fire pit was great to relax next to at night. The house itself is set up with everything you could need. Lots of pool and bath towels, some great books, and even yoga mats. Having the separate casita was great for having guests and still maintaining privacy. The owners and property manager were extremely nice and easy to work with. They even left bicycles for us to use. Also, the location is great. Excellent neighborhood and very close to the all the shops and restaurants downtown. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a great get away!
