Photos and Description of this 7 bedroom holiday chalet in Bergers - Chalet les Carines

Up to 14 guests. High altitude chalet. Ski-in/ski-out. Tour de France roa

Come enjoy the world-class resort of l'Alpe d'Huez nestled in the French Alps an hour away from Grenoble and discover this skiing paradise for downhill and cross-country skiers alike.

Non-skiers can enjoy a wealth of sports ranging from swimming and rock-climbing to squash and tennis at the indoor Palais des Sports located only 5 minutes away.  Great food and wine, including the renowned fondues and raclettes, are available in top restaurants in the village.

Located in the exclusive and quiet hamlet of the Chalets de l’Altiport of l’Alpe d'Huez at the foot of the “massif des Grandes Rousses,” Les Carines is a beautiful detached chalet blending traditional regional design and furnishings with modern facilities. At approximately 500 meters away from the Bergers ski hub and shops, the chalet sits a stone throw away from the road leading to the Col de la Sarenne, the road taken for the first time by the Tour de France in 2013.

Built in the region’s authentic architectural style with characteristic stone and mélèze wood, the chalet offers easy access to the slopes. Its wraparound terrace affords guests breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, namely Les Grandes Rousses and the Massif de l’Oisans and in the distance, La Meije (3 983 m) and Les Ecrins (4102 m).

Les Carines is a three-story ski-in ski-out chalet featuring an open plan on the main floor with 7 bedrooms and 7 full en-suite bathrooms, a powder room, and sauna on the floors above and below. It sleeps comfortably 14 guests.

During the summer months, those who love nature will be amazed by the jaw-dropping beauty of the mountains. There are endless possibilities to enjoy yourself: invigorating hikes, cycling trips to Tour de France hot spots including the cols of Galibier, la Croix-de-Fer, and the world-renowned arduous climb up to Alpe d’Huez with its 21 famous switchbacks. Horseback riding, rafting, surfing, sailing, swimming, tennis, and hangliding are among the many activities you can enjoy!

A marvelous stay in L'Alpe d'Huez

  • 5 of 5

I want to stress the warm atmosphere of this genuine Chalet but not only. Bedrooms are very nice and functional with independent bathrooms. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. We also appreciated very much the sauna and the (real) fireplace. For those who like hiking, I would recommend the walk to Lake of Quirlies. For those who like resting in a peaceful environment, you will certainly love the nearby river and the sight on the Grandes Rousses or the Barre des Ecrins mountains. I highly recommend this unique Chalet for any season of the year, including spectacular arrivals of the Tour de France in July.

Amazing Chalet-An Alpine Dream

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay in what is the best chalet in Alpe d'Huez! The fantastic living room with a welcoming fire was a wonderful place to relax after a hard day on the nearby and easily accessible slopes. The sauna was a fabulous plus where all the aches of the day just melted away. The ultra modern kitchen was perfect to prepare our restorative meals, and the balconies the perfect place to enjoy the spectacular views while enjoying an evening libation or morning coffee. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable and the bathrooms modern, and spotless. All in all this is a large chalet, which can accommodate a big group and yet maintains an intimate and warm atmosphere.

Excellent accomodation

  • 5 of 5

We were guest in this magnificent house in May 2016 for a week. We were with 12 adults in this beautiful home and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had plenty of parking space in- and outdoors. Luxurious bathrooms, excellent beds, very well equipped kitchen. Magnificent views all around. We will be back for sure!

Quel superbe séjour

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5
