Cozy, Adorable, Charming Beach Stay

We had such an enjoyable stay at this adorbale cottage. The description on the site is exactly what we expected. The house is the perfect location to the beach, a 5 minute walk. It has a cute vintage/beach charm to it with plenty of sleeping space for family and guests. Michael and Kim were quick to respond with any questions/concerns. We hope to be back next year :)

The beach house of your childhood

We loved staying here! It was like stepping back in time to the beach houses of my childhood. While the house and everything in it is old, it was very clean and comfy. The beach isn’t far from the house and there are great outdoor showers back at the house to clean up after playing at the beach. There is a window air conditioning unit on the first floor but it doesn’t cool the upstairs. There are lots of fans in the house to help the upstairs stay cool. Lucky for us the weather wasn’t too hot and it cooled off every night.

White Sands Cottage

The cottage was in good shape and was spacious. The location to the beach was convenient. Great beach! The first couple of days were hot and humid. The first floor was comfortable but the second floor took a long time to cool down. The rest of the week was very nice.

Nit a nice cottage

Dirty dirty dirty! Owners were nice and communicated it was vintage charming—— no! Dirty, mold everywhere, no locks, shades didn’t work, nasty rugs, unbearably hot, no backyard , dirty linens, paint peeling, not a comfortable seat in the whole house! Very unhappy , disappointed couldn’t cook there, microwave is 1960! I rented fir month of July! They said my last day was 30th not 31st!!!! Had to leave early leaving several small items behind!

Family Reunion

We lucked into renting this cottage last minute for our family reunion after the first cottage we had rented online during the pandemic proved to be unsuitable when we arrived to check-in ( we had rented it through a local realtor office, not VRBO) and we could not have been happier. Our family grew up spending our youth at White Sand Beach so we know the area well. This cottage reminded us of those cottages from of our youth: roomy, woody, big screened-in porch, plenty of seating and nice outdoor showers to rinse off the beach sand. The washer and dryer are a plus. Lovely quiet setting across from the marsh and tennis courts. We heard two owls our first night there. The owners, Kim and Michael, were great. Thank you.
