Villa Aurora is situated on the 1st terrace giving fabulous views of the Andelutthian village of Cala Torret and Binnibecca beyond A beatutiful 4 bed 3 bath luxury villa, where the emphasis is on space for easy family living. Built on a 1250 metre (1/4 acre) plot and overlooking the sea, the villa boasts a 14 metre pool and a pool terrace which faces south / west providing elevated views and a spectacular setting for Mediterranean sunsets.
The villa is airy and has a large farmhouse kitchen, which in turn leads onto a full length covered terrace complete with barbeque for poolside dining. The beautifully proportioned (22x14ft) lounge is styled in a modern and contemporary manner and is fitted with Free to Air TV DVD player and free WI FI. Plenty of DVDs are in the house for family entertainment.
All 4 bedrooms are configured as twin rooms. 2 have en suite bathrooms whilst 2 bedrooms share a 3rd family bathroom. All bathrooms have full fitted shower, with the master bedroom en-suite having both bath and shower.
What a great place to stay for a perfect holiday. Only 250 metres from local seafront restaurants and shops, and a further 250 metre to the beach at Binibeca. Not that we used the beach much. the large pool / poolside kept the kids fully engaged - and all day too! We had a hire car and that was important to us as we love to visit all the high quality restaurants that are dotted around the area.
The villa has lots of space, with plenty of DVDs - if anybody wanted, though to be honest as far as we are concerned it was an outdoor holiday with cover for the kids to avoid the height of the sun.
The terrace, which covers the full length of the villa served as a perfect spot for lunches by the pool, and with views of Cala Torret and the Mediterranean beyond.
1st class - we are about to book our return visit.
I can't recommend this villa strongly enough. It is a beautiful place to stay with the most inviting pool I've ever swam in. The villa was perfect for our needs - two families with four young children. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to play, plenty of sunbeds, sofas and chairs to relax on including a fantastic hammock plus a great outdoor BBQ. The location is great with a view of the ocean from the pool terrace and a short walk to the nearest beach, supermarket, restaurants and bars. Ged was fantastic and answered any questions we had immediately. I plan to go back there as soon as possible.
I have just re-booked our holiday for this year and I'm once again reminded that this is undoubtedly the best villa we have stayed at on the Island. Everything is designed for ease of use and access, and all the rooms are amply proportioned – just perfect for a family (or in our case two families).
The biggest plus is the large swimming pool – which the kids adored. We could not get them out of it, even to go to the beach.
The biggest plus for the adults is the full length terrace which provides ample shade. As well as outdoor dining, and lovely views out to sea. The sunsets are particularly stunning as the villa faces South/South West.
To the rear of the property is a separate garden with a further dining pergola area and various swings and deck chairs. Whilst at the side of the villa is a grassy lawn area where the kids played football.
The owner was always very helpful – nothing was too much trouble. He also suggested lots of different restaurants, both local and further afield – none of them disappointed.
We had a memorable family holiday in 2014 and the villa and its position was a real added bonus. We are already excited about the booking we have made for 2015. Roll on the Summer!!!
When we arrived at the property our 1st impression was exactly what we hoped for.Excellant views & in peacefull surroundings but not to far to walk to the beach, bays & restaurants. The large pool was ideal as there were 6 adults staying. The villa was fantastic with everything we required. The owner was very helpfull with all of our dealings/phone calls & advice for when we were in menorca. The owner always returned any phone calls & emails very promptly,a pleasure to deal with. The property was clean & well maintained & would recommend staying here.It was only a short walk via steps to the local restaurants all of which were very friendly & served lovely meals. However i would recommend taking a small torch with you for returning late at night as ther is no lighting on the steps back.We all had a fabulous time. There is also a regular road train that runs along the coast each way(the villa is about half way to each direction)& for a few euros you can go to different places day or night. We would very much recommend this villa for families & friends to stay in.
We have just returned from a great family holiday at the villa. There were 6 of us including our grandson aged 4 and granddaughter aged 2, it was their first holday abroad, and our first time in Menorca.
The location of the villa is excellent just a few minutes drive from a very safe beach with good facilities and a number of good restaurants. The area is quiet and the villa itself has lovely views out to the sea.
The villa facilities are first class, well planned, with plenty of space for the children, and an excellent pool and patio area. The children spent many happy hours in the pool and looking for lizards in the well tended gardens.
We felt it was necessary to have a car if you have small children, as the shortest route by foot to the restaurants was down some steep steps, which were OK for adults but not for small children.
The owner of the property was very helpful, offering advice on a number of things relating to the area and the island itself.
We would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a luxury property in a quiet but well served area of Menorca, and we will certainly consider returning in the future.
We have just returned from our third visit to this villa. April/May is a wonderful time to visit Menorca, the roads and resorts were very quiet and we did manage to find some restaurants that were open. We were lucky enough to have had some beautiful weather enabling us to put to full use the wonderful terrace and pool area. As the evenings were cool, the owner advised us of heaters that were available in the villa for our use.
The property is maintained to a very high standard which makes staying there very easy which is why we keep returning.
Although we are a only a couple, this villa is equally suitable for families or a group of friends.
We will be back!!!!
On the south east tip of Menorca lays Binebeca (Cala Torret) which is famous as the islands quintessential picture postcard village, also playing host to one of the safest and picturesque beaches on the island.
3 km to the east is Punter Prima which has plenty of activities for children, including archery crazy golf and pool, whilst to the west there is a ready supply of bars and family orientated activities.
The town of St Lluis is 5 minutes away by car, and has 2 large supermarkets,
a sports centre go carting and pony and trap racing. 5 minutes further on is Mahon, the islands capital, where lots of shopping awaits. The Friday market is one of the busiest and most colourful Mediterranean markets, sometimes bursting out of the central square and on to the port side pavements. There is also a lot of British history / architecture on display in Mahon, as it once sat at the centre of British Mediterranean interests. There are daily boat trips also from the port, as well as sailing.
