Good Location

  • 3 of 5

When making reservations for this cute cabin, I was impressed with the positive feedback about the friendly owners. After making the reservation and paying the pet fee, I was then contacted by the owner that I would have to pay more night per pet directly to them. I was fine with it, but was mislead as this was not posted on the site.

My friend and I never really met the owners and there were no instructions when we arrived or left. We really were on our own. It's very private. The cabin is small and well furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom could've been cleaner and the carpet in living room poorly stained. I took my dog for many walks and was nice to just sit on the porch looking at the horses and pastures.

We chose this cabin, because of the location. We did Longwood Gardens about 20 minutes away and the town Oxford had a wonderful Amish market. The next day we went to Amish Country, Lancaster County. It was a beautiful drive to Intercourse and Bird In Hand. I would recommend this cabin for a getaway or as a place convenient to drive to many sights.

Peaceful, romantic escape

  • 5 of 5

We loved our overnight stay at the cabin! It was cozy, charming, clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the gorgeous September evening and watching the horses from the chairs in the private backyard. It was wonderful having total privacy, yet knowing the owners were around if needed. We would highly recommend this cabin for those wishing to get away from the stresses of everyday life and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Love the little cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to the cabin at Break Away Farm. Fortunately, we had great weather this time and were able to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet. We loved just relaxing and listening to the horses 'whinny' and the birds chirping. We walked a bit of one of the trails. It's a great place to catch up on rest or reading and get away from it all. Our two dogs also love the cabin! We plan to return the next time we need some R&R. Thank you Wendy and Travis!

beautiful farm, with a cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed on Wendy's farm the weekend of our wedding (which was at another nearby horse farm). Pulling onto the property, you'll see the cabin is nestled in between horse pastures, and very private from the main farm. The cabin itself had all the amenities that we needed, including a full kitchen and AC. Comfortable bed and a very quiet location to sleep. Very dog friendly location - our dogs loved meeting the horses just outside our door. Wendy was very responsive via text for any needs. Our only regret was that we we weren't able to spend more time on the property!
