Highly recommended, a fabulous house!

  • 5 of 5

This as our second stay at 'teachers' and yet again we had a fabulous time. The house is warm and cosy yet spacious, meticulously kept and thoughtfully equipped. The village and surrounding areas are so picturesque, and there is so much to do to keep all ages and tastes amused. My family

and myself found the house perfect for our needs, with each bedroom having its own bathroom, two living areas so the grandparents could escape the children, and a wonderfully equipped kitchen and dining room, perfect for a family get together. The owner Mary is very friendly and a pleasure to deal with, as is Rachel who greeted us on arrival. 'Teachers' comes highly recommended from us! Many thanks and we very much hope to return again!

Fantastic house, great location.

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic house! We were a family party of 7, my partner and I, my 3 children and 2 girlfriends. The house was lovely and spacious, very warm, welcoming and well equipped.

On arrival we found a bottle of wine and some chocolates, which were much appreciated and a nice touch.

The huge kitchen had everything you could want, including spices, and the sitting rooms were spacious, great for the games we played over the weekend.

The bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, had extremely comfortable beds 😃.

There was a lovely garden, very well kept, which would be great to sit in durning warmer weather.

We visited many villages/towns, none of which took long to get there, including Moreton in Marsh, Broadway and Bourton on the Water. We had an excellent meal at the Norman Knight, in Whichford, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Rachel was very helpful over the weekend, ensuring that everything was fine.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying in this gorgeous house.

A Dream House

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in Teacher's House for two weeks over the Christmas period. The reviews had all be very complimentary, but the house and location were much better than any had described. The greeting by Rachel was very warming and then when we toured the house, we were astonished by the high quality and outstanding accommodations. The house had been fully decorated for Christmas, a bottle of champagne, a box of chocolates, and two full bins of firewood awaited us. The kitchen in Teacher's House is extremely well equipped and since we planned on doing much cooking, we were very pleased. Mary Wilson was flexible with our arrival and since our plane landed before sunup, that made life easy. The location of the house is superb, in the small village of Great Wolford with one church and one great pub. It is close to larger towns for shopping and very convenient to Stratford and Oxford. It is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Heathrow. Walking the local roads is very enjoyable. There are so many good things to say about the house and location. It was a dream holiday for all of us. Thank you, Mary Wilson and Rachel.

The Teachers House, Great Wolford

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for a fantastic stay at the Teachers House. As 4 of the 6 of us were teachers, it seemed particularly appropriate! The House was a wonderful place to relax, full of character and so many rooms to choose from! The kitchen had everything you could possibly want, leading onto a terrace from which you could enjoy the beautiful garden. Bedrooms all a bit different, but all lovely with ensuite bathrooms - I certainly enjoyed my roll top bath in the eaves! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again if revisiting the Cotswolds
