Highly recommended, a fabulous house!
This as our second stay at 'teachers' and yet again we had a fabulous time. The house is warm and cosy yet spacious, meticulously kept and thoughtfully equipped. The village and surrounding areas are so picturesque, and there is so much to do to keep all ages and tastes amused. My family
and myself found the house perfect for our needs, with each bedroom having its own bathroom, two living areas so the grandparents could escape the children, and a wonderfully equipped kitchen and dining room, perfect for a family get together. The owner Mary is very friendly and a pleasure to deal with, as is Rachel who greeted us on arrival. 'Teachers' comes highly recommended from us! Many thanks and we very much hope to return again!
We love to hear from our guests and it is always such a compliment for our guests to keep returning. The house loves to have all ages come and visit and it is great to hear that your extended family consisting of three generation were so equally happy Thank you so much for such a great review and also for the compliment you have written about Rachel who takes care of the care and myself. We hope that you are able to come and stay again soon.
Wonderful Place for a Family Holiday
When my best friend and I chose that Shakespeare Half Marathon as our next race vacation, the next item we needed to book right away was somewhere for all of us to stay. Although on she and I run, we travel with my mother, her mother-in-law, her husband, and their (now) five-year-old son.
The Theachers House was perfect for us and all of our various requirements. The beds were comfortable and there were a variety of pillows to suit everyone. It's a lovely quiet area right across from a church with a lovely graveyard and field to explore. The neighbours are lovely and helpful. Rachel, my contact, answered any questions we had and went above and beyond to help us out.
There is more than enough space or us all to have quiet time, but also several common areas and lovely back yard with enough seating and tables to accommodate us all.
I stayed in the top most room which was lovely, didn't bang my head once, and the views were incredible. I never did get around to using the clawfoot tub, but we want to come back and I plan to give it a go when we do.
There aren't and shops or restaurants within walking distance, however, the kitchen is well appointed and the shops are only a ten minute drive away. We ended up eating at home all, but one of the nights.
Gorgeous and spacious.... lovely garden!
All 4 bedrooms are very relaxing and spacious...very rare to find a 4 bedroom house all with en suites as well. the whole house was so clean and well kept. Plenty of rooms to spread out around and relax in. Would definitely recommend 😊
So good I'm loss for words
Our stay at Teacher's House was so enjoyable it's difficult to put into words. The village the house is in is small, beautifully maintained and quiet. The hourly chime of the nearby church clock is the loudest sound you hear, and it is a comfort, not an intrusion. The house is spacious, characterful and very well appointed. But despite the quiet, the house is very close to some stunning attractions. Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters, and Broadway and its Tower are all within easy reach, as are the lovely houses of Sezincote and Chastleton. I must admit I'm looking for another family event to celebrate here.
We spent a long weekend in this beautiful house. There was plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 children and it is in a lovely location. All rooms are well equipped and clean. Highly recommended
