About Rachel Penny

Cassimir East is owned by a mother-daughter pair looking to share their love of Emerald Isle and have a little fun on the side!

Born & Bred in North Carolina. I have always enjoyed the beach. My two children and I spent a lot of time in Emerald Isle, when they were small. It is so peaceful there - every single mom needs a quiet retreat to charge her batteries or regain her sanity. I have recently returned to the area and really enjoy my new home. My favorite thing about Cassimir East, which is rather unique, is that the unit faces due south. You can enjoy a steaming cup of coffee on your private balcony while watching the sunrise or the dolphins play in the surf, and you can enjoy a nice glass of wine from the deck over looking the waves while enjoying the sunset. There's a lot to discover on the Crystal Coast, but I always look forward to the slow pace, great food, and southern hospitality at its finest.'

Emerald Isle is in a convenient location, just a short drive from Raleigh, NC and easy to get to. There is a good balance of local culture and commercial development. You can't beat the slow pace and friendly atmosphere of the Crystal Coast.

I wanted to buy property in Spinnakers Reach because of it’s great reputation, always being well-maintained, colorful homes, relaxed atmosphere and just everyday happy vacationers. Emerald Isle is a nice, quiet, resort town and just a great place to be… I love watching the dolphins from the master suite every month of the year… Come experience the magic!

What makes this house unique

Cassimir East is fortunate to not only be oceanfront, but also have exclusive private beach access. My absolute favorite part is the private balcony from the master bedroom. Nothing beats leaving the door open and letting the natural sounds of the waves put you to sleep.

We have seen dolphins every month of the year. It just does not get any better than waking up in the morning and gleefully seeing the dolphins, or even sometimes a pod of whales, from the master balcony.

Walking the beach is a favorite! Almost 6 miles round-trip to the fishing pier…it is so enjoyable to walk to the pier, sit on the pier and read a book and/or watch the fisherman. Walking to the right is about a mile down and a mile back to the Point.

Wonderful, whimsical home with great ocean views!

We instantly felt at home in this charming duplex filled with great books, fun quirky art, and a well appointed kitchen. We can attest to great views of both sunset and sunrise! The house more than met our expectations and the owners were responsive with emails and booking details. We would definitely book again.

The house was clean throughout, and the linens and towels were fresh. The kitchen was very well stocked with a wide array of cooking utensils, decent knives, spices, and basic pantry supplies. We had one bulb burn out while there and easily found replacements in the cleaning closet.

The ocean views and the sound of the waves from the living room, deck, and upstairs master are fantastic. The house is on the ocean with only a short walk from deck to beach (note - there are stairs). The beach area was quiet (it is Feb.) so few tourists. The locals are friendly. We found an abundance of shells.

The neighborhood around the house is also charming and well maintained. We saw many people out walking . The neighborhood consists of single family homes and duplexes so the density is low compared to other areas nearby with high density condos. I imagine this keeps the beaches a bit less crowded in the summer.

The house is a duplex, and the other half was occupied while we were there. We did not hear the neighbors so we think the soundproofing between units is good.

Like all beach houses, this one has a bit of rust here and there, and other signs that salt water leaves on decks, door knobs, windows etc. This is part of the charm -- it feels like a house that loves being at the beach.

Beautiful Oceanfront Location!

This duplex is in the perfect location with gorgeous views. It is right on the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. It is the perfect place for family or friends, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. It is beautifully decorated, very clean and has a well-stocked kitchen. They also have a great recreation area in the lower level for the kids. We have rented in Spinnaker's Reach several times and Cassimir East is one of our favorites! Our only suggestion is that the deck is in need of some TLC. The Owner was so easy to work with, very quick to respond and answer our questions. We had a wonderful week, beautiful weather and saw dolphins every morning! We hope to return next year!

Really enjoyed staying here! Beds were comfy, house was clean & the kitchen had everything we needed. We had 4 kids and they kept entertained playing in the game room on the rainy days or running to the beach & jumping waves on the sunny ones. We would stay here again!!!

Great location

House was in a great location. Definitely roomy enough for all of us. We especially loved how kid-oriented it was. The 7 children had a blast. Deck needs a little work- we got a couple of splinters. Washer and dryer may need to be updated soon, but they definitely came in handy
