Really nice place. Just got really hot. Any type of fan would really help.
It was a marvelous weekend in London and staying at this property has made it even better! Thanks to Sue for caring!
Could use a few extras
Though it appeared as in the photos, little things it didn’t have, would have added a lot. For example; soap in the bathtub and kitchen sink would have been appreciated. A clean, new kitchen sponge and paper towels too. More than one single roll of toilet paper and more towels. There is no fan or bathroom window. A notebook with instructions on how to operate the very strange washing machine and where to find the thermostat (we never did find it) plus where to get groceries and what bus lines stop out front. Tomasz was somewhat helpful but not always right.
Also be aware that this is a very noisy street and when the glass doors were open to let in some fresh air, the noise level is quite high. Plus there was no privacy when we opened the doors as the unit is on the first floor and level with double decker buses!
Thank you for the review. I'm sorry that there were not enough towels and that you felt that other supplies were inadequate. We will take note of your suggestions and try to put this right in future. A small point, you say that there is no fan in the bathroom; there is in fact a constant air flow system in operation; you can see the vent on the wall next to the large mirror. Best wishes
We loved our London apartment. Getting in was easy. Building manager was onsite and showed us in. Pool was clean, exercise room nice, foosball table. Room is quiet with windows shut. Beds were comfy. No problems with internet or wireless. Bathroom/shower all good. Had one mishap with the washing machine our third morning, but it was sorted out by the time we returned that evening. Nice Vietnamese restaurant just up the street, coffee shops a-plenty, and three small markets with a block or two of the apartment. Farrington Station is nearby; it's one stop from King's Cross/St. Pancras, and it's on the Circle Line. Great location for exploring the city without staying in a part of the city overrun with tourists. Enjoyed a couple evenings at the nearby Crown Tavern--great fish and chips, and the Camden Ale is not to be missed.
Terrific location and wonderful hosts. A great experience.
It was perfect for our family of five! It was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to cook at our home for the week! It was convenient to bus stops and the metro too and we had plenty of places to pick up food!
The building is located in the Clerkenwell Road between the West End and the City. It is ideally placed for sight seeing, shopping, or to visit London's many cultural attractions. The nearest stations are Chancery Lane on the Central Line and Farringdon (Circle, Hammersmith & City lines, with direct trains to Gatwick and Luton airports). Euston, Kings Cross and the Euro Star terminal at St Pancras are all within easy reach. Within 10-20 minutes walk you can be strolling along the Thames, visit Tate Modern, walk along the Strand, hunt for bargains in Covent Garden or visit the world famous opera. Russel Square and the British Museum are a short walk away as are the Angel, Islington, the Barbican, the Museum of London and St Pauls Cathedral. There are many restaurants, bars and pubs in the vicinity plus a wide range of grocery shops and convenience stores plus a daily street market for all your needs.
