About Julie Allbon

The property has recently been sold and the new owners have repainted and decorated inside and out. It still retains its very high standards. I ran the property for the previous owners for 5 years and now run it for the new owners, so I have an in depth knowledge of the property and how everything works, and also of the surrounding area.

Julie Allbon purchased this villa in 2003

Why Julie Allbon chose Jimena de la Frontera

Location, location, location. Away from it all yet only 1.5km from the convenience of the village which has all the shops you need. Surrounded by some of the most spectacular country in Andalucia and with a water supply from the River Guadiaro which is the only river in southern Spain which has never been known to dry up in summer.

What makes this villa unique

Due to the 300 days of sun throughout the year in this part of Spain and the increasing demise of the planet, in May 2016 this property was converted entirely to solar power with the backup of a generator for use when the system is overloaded or there has been no sun. So there are no electricity bills to pay! We do ask our guests to be mindful that it is a solar system and to operate the heavy use electrical appliances washing machine, dishwasher, etc. during the day rather than at night when there will be no sun to recharge for the batteries.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This was our second stay in San Pablo de Buceite and it lived up to all our expectations. The villa is wonderfully secluded and quiet with great facilities and the village has everything you need catering wise. We flew to Gibraltar this time which makes for a much quicker and easier journey to the villa than Malaga which we did six years ago. The road to the villa is now fully tarmacked which makes driving much more pleasant!Advanced information off Julie was most welcome and she answered all our questions ahead of our stay and could not have been more helpful whilst we were at the villa. Thanks Julie for all your help and attention. Cannot recommend Finca Zarita highly enough.

Car: necessary

Finca Zarita is 1.5km from San Pablo de Buceite, halfway between the 'white villages' of Jimena de la Frontera and Gaucin and within easy reach of Sotogrande and Ronda. San Pablo adjoins the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales, the largest cork oak forest in Europe, which has excellent walking tracks with spectacular views.

This property is entirely private and not overlooked in any way (except by eagles).

Lying directly under the migration route, masses of birds of prey are often seen from the garden in spring and autumn. The area is famous for its spring flowers.

The nearest beach is at Sotogrande, a 30 minute drive.

Beautiful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed staying at Finca Zarita, it is a quiet place in the country side next to Jimena de la Frontera. The garden is children safe, nice swimming pool, gorgeous views on the mountains. The house is cosy and well equipped, especially with solar system that provides ample electricity and hot water. We would gladly come back and recommend it to anyone!

Fabulous Finca Zarita 5 star holiday

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from another fabulous stay at this beautiful Finca and are pleased to say that yet again we had the most wonderful holiday. Everything you could possibly need is there, from the fully equipped kitchen to towels and toilet rolls! Wonderful lazy days enjoying the pool and the terraces, evenings strolling through the adjoining fields and returning to make use of the large barbeque. The nearby village is friendly with well stocked supermarkets and great bars and restaurants. This was our second stay at Finca Zarita, and it certainly won't be our last. A real home from home, can't wait until next time!

A Spring Beauty

  • 4 of 5

What a great find! After a bumpy ride, up a rough track, we arrived at the wonderful Finca Zarita where we were greeted by the helpful Julie. The Finca is situated in a rural location and its position takes advantage of stunning views, plenty of outside furniture, bbq, pool and two verandas also capitalise on this. It was immaculately clean. Although some of the fixtures and fittings are becoming a little dated I feel this was reflected in the price and the house really was very well equipped including food items, laundry soaps and towels etc. In fact it really was a home from home and one of the best 'feel' places we have stayed in. If you are into wildlife and birdwatching then I highly recommend this area especially at April and September when the migration takes place. The whole place was full of wild flowers, birds, reptiles and insects also however this area boasts fascinating towns and villages, restaurants, bars and a stunning coastline. Finca Zarita was in a good location to access all of this, a car of course is a necessity. One word of caution walkers beware of footpaths locked and fierce farm dogs! Overall a fab house in a great place, highly recommended for a fantastic holiday in real Spain.

Superb villa

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying here for Christmas. Beautiful situation overlooking the orange groved valley and wonderfully private. Lots of internal and external space. High quality of furniture and kitchen very well equipped. Chilly nights well catered for with fixed heated panels and the lovely log fire! Local village has a few shops and restaurants. We had a great meal of the day lunch in the Acasias along the road and a beautiful Xmas lunch in the more upmarket, but well priced, Station Restaurant. Drove to the stunning Ronda one day, well worth the journey. Also did horse riding at the Los Lobos Ranch, again recommended. Lots of information on the area and the villa provided. Great villa, great countryside and great people. One of the best holidays!

What a fabulous place to stay! The villa is clean and modern with everything you need, a beautiful pool and wonderful gardens, the perfect place to get away from it all and totally relax. The village of San Pablo is charming and friendly, and there are so many places to visit if you want a day out. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Finca Zarita is the perfect quiet, away from it all villa.

If you're looking for relaxation, fantastic views, privacy in the Andalucian hills, then this is the place for you.

Its about a 90 minute drive from Malaga airport, but the directions provided are excellent and its very straight forward to get to.

The Villa itself is on its on dirt road with a private drive about 1.5Kms from the village, about a 2 minute drive or a 20 minute walk.

The village itself has several restaurants, all pretty good, but the Station restaurant is exceptionally good.

We spent the week doing nothing but lie round the pool, relax, read books etc., and the villa is perfect for that.

However, if you're looking to do and see more then there are plenty of things do, if you're willing to drive.

For us, the weather was too good to drive, so chilling out was the order of the day and night, and this is a great place to do that.

If you book it, you won't regret it!
