Wow, what a great location! Listening to the sound of the waves is so relaxing! This condo is about as close to the water as you can get. Beautiful views right out your door!
The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom and plenty of fridge space for some food.
Brad was so easy to work with and responds to emails promptly. We loved being able to use the Kauai guidebook during our stay.
This condo in Kapaa is so central to everything on the island and walking distance so several wonderful restaurants, shopping and grocery.
Kauai is be far the most beautiful of the Hawaiian islands and we hope to come back again to do more exploring!
Linda, thank YOU for allowing KrellersGetaway the opportunity to accommodate! It was our pleasure and glad everything worked out okay. Mahalo!
5 star service and 5 star room
The view is incredible and the property is quiet and located right on the beach. Central location of Kappa was great for trip to the canyon as well as Northshore!! I will defiantly rent at Islander with Brad again!
Thank you, Dan! Appreciate you allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate. Until the next time!
Best location/price/views!!!
We love staying on Kauai, it's our favorite island... it's even better staying there with Krellers Getaway! Brad is awesome to work with and totally worked for months with our whole group of 15 people to get our rooms booked. We had such a great time celebrating awesome milestones on the island. The rooms were fantastic, and the view couldn't of been better. We can't wait to come back and visit the garden island and stay with Krellers Getaway!! If you are thinking about booking with them... DO IT! We took our 3 year old and 5 month old this time around and they LOVED it... great for all ages! The location of the condo is perfect, its smack dab in the middle of the island so traveling to see the other "ends" of the island aren't too difficult for day trips! The property was awesome and clean... the pool/spa was so nice and relaxing, they clean it EVERY MORNING (makes this mama's heart happy) the staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful (even though we didn't use them for much, they still greeted us and were so kind). I have and will continue to recommend this location to all my friends and family, you just can't beat the views and the amazing relaxing vibe this place has to offer. We enjoyed the new (well new since the last time we visited, 4 years ago) marketplace right at the coconut marketplace... it made it so easy to eat and shop. A great place we ate at twice was Gaylords. It is a little bit on the pricey side but it was delicious!! For shave ice "Tege Tege" is AMAZING... its all natural and super delicious, we went on a raft adventure to see the Napali Coast and our boat driver recommended that shave ice place, and I could of went there EVERY DAY! Smiths Family Luau was awesome... the entertainment and food did not disappoint. We drove up to see the Waimea canyon, BREATHTAKING!! WE also went to the Lighthouse, and that was really cool (we saw turtles & a pod of dolphins) ** if you happen to have a pass to National Parks... bring it, you get in free and 3 guests with that pass at the Lighthouse. We couldn't go too far North(?) due to some bad weather they had which closed the road. Queens bath... we did it, we survived... its breathtaking and pretty scary all at the same time. The hike was hard, slippery, and steep but the view was soooo worth it. The parking is TERRIBLE but all the reviews say that, so seriously get there early OR get dropped off at the trial head. We can't wait to come back and visit this island... we have fallen in LOVE!
Great condo in a convenient location
Everything went well and we enjoyed staying at #345. The condo was clean and well-maintained. We were especially glad for the umbrella and extra (very beautiful) quilt as the weather was rather cool, and there were a few tropical downpours. I can't think of any issues we had with the condo. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were amazing. I was glad one of the pillows was flatter than the other because I don't do well with big fluffy pillows. The instructions in the condo were very helpful.
It was so convenient to be able to walk to restaurants and the stores at Coconut Marketplace and Long's. I enjoyed the Farmer's Market and got most of our produce there. We used the blender to make green smoothies. Once the weather improved, we enjoyed sitting on the lanai, and towards the end of the trip, we saw some whales out there.
The highlight of our trip was the boat trip up the Napali Coast with Liko Kauai. We also especially enjoyed the Waimea Canyon and Kilaeau National Wildlife Refuge. The biggest frogs I've ever seen were in the wetlands near the Kalalau Trail trailhead. I thought I heard cows bellowing at first!
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourselves, Vic and Linda! KrellersGetaway very much appreciates you allowing us to accommodate while on the Garden Isle. Mahalo Nui!
Affordable, Ocean Front Condo in a Great Location
This was the perfect condo for our stay on Kauai! There are several units, but our favorite was #345, a corner unit of Aston Island on the Beach resort, which has amazing ocean front views as well as views of the property pool. It has a small kitchen with mini-fridges, a toaster oven, and microwave and a table on the inside and outside patio. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the patio right next to the ocean. The property was clean and as described. The owner provided the essentials plus beach towels and there were even some beach chairs and other toys to use. The owner was very accommodating and provided very detailed instructions. The condo has A/C, but note that the owner's instruct you to use it in Fan mode which isn't very strong. We also liked the location of the condo - it's close to the center of Wailua with lots of restaurants nearby and easy to get to the South or North Side of the island. We would definitely recommend staying here and visiting Lava Lava Beach Club for some delicious food just a short walk down the beach.
Thank you for the review and taking the time out to insert it online. Truly means a lot to us and we look forward to hosting again some time in the future. Mahalo nui!
Amazing Gettaway
My wife and I went here to get married and enjoy our time with one another. The location and space that we had was only footsteps from the beach, amazing sounds of the waves crashing at night, and all for a great price. We would highly recommend this place for anyone just wanting to get away and enjoy the slow down of Kauai. We will definitely be going back to Kauai and if this place were available we would book it in a heartbeat.
So glad you enjoyed yourselves, Brian! Honored to be a part of your special day. Appreciate you taking the time out to leave a review online. Mahalo!
Location
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.
Another post from a guest:
IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Biking:
Check out Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Swimming:
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
