Hi, we have just spend a 9 day break in your apartment and had a really enjoyable relaxing fun time. We travelled with our three young children, who found the pools excellent and being on our doorstep was a big bonus as we could relax on the patio with a nice cold drink, whilst they played safely. The apartment was well equipped and satisfied all our requirements. The apartment was well located however I would not recomend a stay with out a car as there is so much to visit and explore. We found a wonderful water park 20 minutes drive away, which the children loved, and the beaches in torrevieja were very enjoyable. There were many english who lived in the area as there were other nationalities all who were very friendly and helpful and made our stay a happy time, the children even learnt a little of the lingo. We found many nice places to eat and drink and had a wonderful time , we would definately reccomend anyone who wants a simple relaxing holiday to come and holiday here and we would love to return in the future. Many thanks

Lovely villa, great location

Spend a week here, the property could do with a little updating, however everything in the villa is clean and it has everything you need. There are 2 pools both well located, one just outside the front door and just outside the back door, which is accessible through the main bedroom. It is a pretty quiet complex, which is nice for relaxing afternoons by the pool. The plaza which is a 15 minute walk is great. Loads of places to eat and drink, supermarkets and a gift shop. If you are going for golf, villa margin club course is just the other side of the plaza on the road towards the coast, it's about €80 a round including club and trolley hire. They also have a driving range and the course is lovely. The coast is about 15 minutes in a car, there are a couple of beaches. Away from the beach there are supermarkets and shops. If you are looking for cigarettes, (which are pretty hard to find) there is a cafe above Lidl with a yellow sign and they are about the only place to buy cigarettes. You will need a car, it is cheaper to hire one from solera car hire, they will pick you up from the airport, it's located about 5 minutes from the airport, but is half the price. Do not take out the extra insurance on the website as it is set up with another company and nothing to do with the car hire company and they will charge you again. Overall a great week in a great villa and location

Holiday rental

We had a five month rental here and had a great time.The rental was very clean and had everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby in walking distance.Add in the nearby golf course and pools front and rear and you have plenty to do if you don't want to drive.Would I rent this property again...Yes.

english translation of swedish review

My husband and I had an enjoyable weeks stay at the villa martin apt, with warm weather. The apt and development is well placed for Swedish tourists as it is served by flights from Copenhagen and the three main swedsih airports, flying to both Alicante and Murcia.

For young families the pools and grass areas are excellent and well maintained; also within 10 minutes by car quality safe beaches, such as Playa Flamenca can be found.

For the more discerning visitor who like sightseeing, the region offers interesting places easily accessible via the motorway or the coast road. We drove to Cartagena, about 25 minutes motorway driving (we came back via the coast road and it took around 45 minutes) west of the apt; this is a historical town with excellent central parking with a pedestrian way that leads down to the seaport, marina and the Roman archaeological sites

The hub of the development 'The Plaza' is about 10 minutes walk, downhill from the apt. Here can be found many banks with ATM's, a chemist, a supermarket and a host of restaurants to suit all pockets and tastes. This area is really buzzing at night with the sound of the conversations blendng with the parrots overhead in the palm trees

Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to others; we are planning to visit during 2009 and explore further afield.

Semester och avkoppling

Min man och jag ville förlänga sommaren och hyrde en lägenhet på Villa Martin i september. Det var varmt och skönt med pool på både fram-och baksidan av lägenheten. Lägenheten är utrustad med vad du/ni kan behöva. Det ligger bra till och är lätt att hitta från Alicante flygplats vilket tar ca 45 min. att köra med hyrbil vilket är att rekommendera. Man kan även flyga till Murcia flygplats vilket jag skulle tro är ungefär lika långt.

Det är gångavstånd till Plazan där det finns en del olika restauranger och pubar, även bank, apotek och livsmedelsaffärer finns.

Vill man bada i havet tar det ca 5-10 min. med bil till den närmsta, det finns flera stränder att välja mellan och det är inte speciellt långt.

Om ni är golfare är det gångsavstånd till golfbanor, det finns flera sådana i närheten.

Skulle man besluta sig för att stanna en längre period är lägenheten bra att använda som utgångspunkt, man kan välja att köra i olika riktningar och kanske övernatta någonstans om det blir längre turer, Spanien är ett stort land med mycket att se. Vi gjorde en del kortare utflykter och hade det lugnt och trevligt. Nästa gång kommer vi nog ge oss iväg på lite längre turer. Jag kan helt klart rekommendera att göra ett besök oavsett vad man är intresserad av att göra.

We recently spent 10 days staying in this apartment. We travelled with our 2 young sons and had an excellent time. The apartment is ideally located with a choice of swimming pools both front and rear with a large pool to the rear, with an enclosed area at the rear of the apartment overlooking and with the direct access to the large pool. The whole set-up is ideal for not only familys such as ours but probably for all with 2 lagre bedrooms sleeping 4 comfortably and cool inside which can be a pleasant relief from the heat! The apartment is about 30 mins drive along the motorway from Alicante airport which itself is very user-friendly for the tired tourist. Also there are a selection of very nice beaches within a 10 minute drive and the other way you are soon in beautiful countyside, so a hire car would be advisable. Locally there is Villamartin, the centre of which can be walked in about 10 minutes or driven in a couple and has an excellent selection of local shops and banks as well as superb resturants and bars most of which also offer take-away services if required. The area around the apartment is quiet, un-imposing and very clean. There aren't many places we have had a holiday that we can genuinely say we'd go there again, but here we can, so you'd better book that ideal holiday before we do!
