We loved this apartment! Great location in a busy part of Paris near city center. It is a lovely and comfortable, and the apartment fit a large family of 7 well (counting grandparents). The owner is very helpful, and he gave us a full tour, he help set up the wi-fi, and gave us some great tips on where to explore in Paris with children. The apartment had all the comforts of home and a fully equipped kitchen and utility closet, a rarity as compared to our stay in the South of France (It has a freezer, proper stove, and a washer/dryer). The apartment has evreything you need for a long stay, and is close to the markets. The Wi-fi was super reliable, which was critical for work, and has a private courtyard for residents that is locked so the children can play. Plus, the old stone construction and the aspect kept the apartment cool despite temperatures soaring to 102 degrees F. If you are looking for old world flavor, and wanting easy access to Paris, and enjoy the adventure that a large and beautiful city holds, then I recommend this place. I am hoping to come back soon, and have been asked by the grandparents to file the information for a future trip. :)
We stayed in this apartment in April (just before high season), and enjoyed the neighborhood access we had to a wonderful area of Paris, the 6th. It is a lively area, and given the first floor of the apartment, were concerned with the possibility of noise, but were pleasantly surprised at how relatively quiet it was, especially realizing that you are in a bustling part of town with many shops, restaurants, cafes, markets, churches, etc and a vibrant night time scene for restaurants and cafes. The access we had to that was very positive for our family, which includes two teenage sons and is used to living in a major city. We felt transformed to a Paris of old, with recognizable faces on the street every day, and a routine of life that made us feel like we were part of a uniquely Parisian neighborhood. Close access to many major tourist attractions by a short walk (10 minutes to the Seine and to Notre Dame, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Luxembourg Gardens, etc), fabulous restaurants, shopping and cafes all around us. It was very easy to spend our evenings here. Comfortable, though unique floor plan that grew on us. The apartment fits the neighborhood perfectly. Very up to date with technology for our family. We would come back.

We are very familiar with Paris, & have rented frequently. We arranged for this apartment for one month when our preferred choice was not available. We knew that we were making some compromises, but still cannot recommend this apartment or the owners (who have several other rentals).
Good points to this apartment: Spacious for 2 people, good location which is convenient to transportation/sites, fast WiFi, English TV channels, & well-equipped Kitchen. However, the apartment is very noisy day & night in all rooms, especially the main Bedroom on the courtyard side. (e.g. noise from other apartments, talking late at night, dumping things in the garbage/recycling bins at all hours) The Dining & Living areas overlook a hangout for overnight vagrants. The shower, while large, is directly off the main hallway, with no privacy.
The furnishings are a mix of good quality & basic patio furniture. The overall layout & finish is a hodge-podge.
All that aside, positives & negatives, our main objection is the variety of misleading information provided by the owners.
For example, the listing has a photo of an elevator, also mentioned in the summary. This elevator is definitely there, but has nothing to do with the apartment whatsoever. It serves the upper floors of the building, whereas the apartment is on the (French) 1st floor, & requires 7 steps in the lobby & a further 10 steps up a very narrow & steep stairwell behind the entry door. This is not convenient for renters with several pieces of luggage & was a major disappointment.
Additionally, before arrival we were provided with a telephone number for the apartment, which we gave to family members. When we arrived, one of the owners said that he had cancelled the phone service. We said that we had been promised a phone, and he said, “Well, if you don’t want this apartment, go find another one and I’ll refund your money.” This was not a very pleasant way to be welcomed to Paris. As it turned out, the phone had not been disconnected. We heard it ringing, locked behind a closet door. We tested the number we had been given, and sure enough, it rang the hidden telephone. The apartment is owned by a brother and sister, and they have many units in Paris. Before arrival, the sister was polite & communicated promptly by e-mail. The brother, who actually met us, is obnoxious and dishonest in his dealings with guests. We will never rent from these owners again, and strongly recommend the same to others.
Shopping facilities, close to public transport (metro, bus, taxi), numerous restaurants, cinemas, theatres, Parisian bistrots.
Tourist attractions : Luxembourg, Odéon, Notre Dame, Pont des arts.
